  1. PM returned. Thanks!
  2. Who did the hogging out of the cages? I'm interested, do you accept paypal?
  3. That August race sounds like it could be the one for me...enough time to plan something out. I'll see if I can arrange some time off
  4. That's what I was noticing....if you do part it out, let me know and give me a price, we might be able to work something out
  5. Damn, that sucks, but I totally understand where you're coming from....if I didn't have this track that's 40 minutes from my house I'd be in the same boat. Good luck on the sale, if you decide to part it out, let me know...I just might, MIGHT, be interested in snatching that frame up
  6. Oh I'd love to come but don't think I'll be able to this time...maybe next time though! How often does this track run? I have family in Georgia that I could arrange to stay with
  7. I'll take it! Let me know whatever shipping will cost to 38125 (Memphis, TN) and I'll paypal, money order, however you'd like payment and I'll add a little on top too. Thanks! Travis
  8. Don, you're crackin me up!! I actually thought about covering mine up with a blanket but my wife would think I'm crazy....lol After hearing about you do it I just might start though, at least I know I won't be the only one!! People buy covers for their cars, why not the drag bikes  LMAO@ snail tracks :yelrotflmao: Thanks djackbanshee!
  9. It's all pretty much the same material, there are a few vented spots to help keep you cool. Mine are kind of baggy in the knees so if you wanted to wear pads they could be worn underneath. Good luck on finding the right pair, it's tough considering there are so many damn choices
  10. You're a brave soul Dave! I'm so picky about my bike I'd purge after every race...I change my oil every two races, fresh plugs every night of racing, lol. I about cried last week when we fried some of the PC on the subframe to re-weld my wheelie bar mount (broke off during a race  ). I'm actually thinking about totally re-doing the bike now because of it...just to give you an idea of how anal I am about the banshee I almost made the switch to alcohol before I bought the nitrous. I was actually looking at a set of lectrons for sale on PS. A couple weekends ago I was sitting in the staging lanes with a friend and we were talking, he reached down, made two quick turns, looked up and said he just bumped his mains up about 1 size. I couldn't believe how quick and easy it is to tune w/ lectrons. I've heard a lot of people say they prefer the keihins, and I'm more familiar w/keihins, I just can't get over how easy the lectrons appear to be Nitrous isn't quite as bad as most people think, it can be destructive real quick, but as long as you set it up properly and supply enough fuel it can be run with great success...I guess the same applies to alcohol, I'm just more familiar with nitrous and have several friends that have had a great deal of experience with it. I had one friend run an 80 shot on his Honda CRX for 2 years on all stock internals...all he did was set it up right  Before I go to a bigger engine I'm going to get an aftermarket frame. I think that alone will help me tremendously. It's a large chunk of dough, but for the hardcore racer, almost a must
  11. I bought some of the shift recon pants and really liked them. They don't have the elastic on the bottom and are pretty comfortable. Mine have a zipped pocket on each pant leg too. There are plenty other pants out there that fit your bill, but just for reference, I like my shift recons
  12. I'm just basing my decision on the overall picture. With alky, I'm looking at best a 10% increase in power, have to convert the carbs, purge after each race, and buy two different fuels. Tuning is much more involved. If I stayed on gas and run nitrous, I can keep the same carbs, have up to a 50HP increase(although I'll never use more than 30), don't have to purge, only have to buy one type of fuel. Tuning is less involved, and gasoline is a little more forgiving than alky. Both cost roughly the same to do once all is said and done, so I figured I'd stick to gas and add nitrous, and right out the box will have more HP than switching to alky. It just seems to fit me better, and I think I'll have more gains in the long run going w/ nitrous and staying on gas, opposed to switching to alky. I know I could run alky and nitrous and have tremendous gains, but my margin for error is greatly reduced, and my wallet isn't deep enough this year...maybe next year :woot: Do you have any more pics of your banshee? It looks sick from what I can see in the pic
  13. Congratulations! Once you have a taste it's all over with!! I'm finding myself doing things with my banshee that I never thought I'd do...Keep it up and be safe!
  14. It's all good... Dave, you read my mind...I was about to start looking into something like that, it would be nice. If you end up getting your hands on the cable and software let me know. I'd pay you some $$$ to throw a few curves in there for me, and activate a trigger or two
  15. For what you want, the cub would be the best aftermarket cylinder for you, mainly for the amount of money. I'm not trying to say twisters can't be dune cylinders, but cubs are much more suited for your transition, at least, that's my opinion
  16. Damn skippy, any way to save money overall is a plus, that just means I can buy more later!!! :woot: Dave, if you want, I'll go in half on a programmer with you. You can hold on to it, but you'll have to program my curve in the dyna for me
  17. Yes, go with the wedges, turn them backwards! I run about 3lbs in mine  4 snows tread will "fold" over where the wedges are stiffer and tend to bite harder.
  18. Quick16 chassis. Damien is the builders name. I can get you contact info if you're interested in purchasing one. His frames are top notch, the welds are superb quality. There are a couple of quick16's chassis running at our track and they're the top performers. Here's Frank's 350, just some more eye candy It's naked in the pic, but he has a set of black plastics for it, just like his big bike
  19. Yesssir, I'm thinking of starting with a 30 shot and seeing how it holds. My new goal on the nitrous will be exactly what you listed, 3.999. I'd like to think it should hit lower 3.90's on the bottle but I'm going to try and be realistic with my goals for now  don, there are basically 4 classes that run up here, pro 350, pro unlimited, stock E.T., and a 5.30 and under class. All classes are double elimination except the 5.30 class, it's single elimination. I'm sure if there were more bikes coming up they could break the classes up some more, but considering that the regulars here have either a 350 or 10mil and bigger, on nitrous, those two pro classes work well. What sucks is I'm right in the middle...a little too fast and inconsistent for stock E.T., but too slow for the pro unlimited...but I hope to change that, even if I gotta switch the carbs to alky, something I really don't want to do.... Springhill runs every Saturday night, weather permitting. Races usually start around 7pm (juniors) then the pro classes, stock class, then 5.30 class. After all the classes are over, they let us grudge race out there till we're out of fuel or too tired, lol. I've ran till 2 in the morning before  If anyone is interested in maybe trying to setup a race night, i can talk to the track owners and see if we can have a "pro" night where they cater to the big bikes, make a few new classes and cut the track a little deeper where we could run paddles. Anything's possible, hell, I may ask them about doing this anyway
  20. LOL, I didn't think you were being a dipshit, that never even crossed my mind! I thought about taking some weights off my lockup, even Jeff suggested it. I had a whole bag of replacement weights that were lighter but have no idea where they went...folks have said that I could remove every other weight on there, but that just makes me nervous thinking about it  Considering what I have coming in the mail today, I'll probably leave the lockup the way it is, I'm thinking I might need that extra weight to keep the clutches from slipping Thanks for the compliments, this bike WILL see teens with me on it, all engine.
  21. Unfortunately, the 60' and mph is not given on the slips. I'll have to wait until I get to the asphalt track before I'll know those details. I totally agree with you, I see the two more tenths of a second I'm after sitting there on the starting line, lol. A lot of my problem seems to be that I'm coming straight up and then going forward. I think I'm gonna lower my bar a little bit more and see how that helps
  22. I don't think it came from part failure, sounds more like user error. I've been running a noss head for 4 years and cool head for 1 year with not one single problem. Trail bike, mild ported bike, drag bike, the heads have held up to everything I throw at them Toomeyshee, I agree with wes that you want to have to use the choke to start it, but if it concerns you, try bumping your pilot up one to a 48 and see if it helps.
  23. Are you adding pod filters or a drop in K&N for the airbox? Also, is your whole engine stock, no pipes or anything?
  24. 250 is a great deal, especially w/ the CD and cable! Would you be willing to sell just the CD and cable, I have paypal
  25. I guess the appropriate question to ask is...what are your plans for the bike, overall? Are you going to dune this bike, drag race this bike, etc. Depending on what you do, depends on which cylinder is best for you. My next aftermarket cylinder will be a twister
