  1. This is probably the best way of doing it. http://www.dunereview.com/mods.htm I've put one on my banshee and it works pretty good. Haven't had it overheat on me yet!! If you mount it to the handlebar cover I don't think it would work well...
  2. Me too You'll need a round "insert" that goes between the two pipes since the ends of the pipes and silencers are both female connections. Fits good though
  3. From one of my all-time favorite South Park episodes.... don't forget to bring a towel....
  4. I had an issue that was similar to this one a while back....my keyswitch had a short in one of the wires causing it to work sporadically. I went through checking my stator, coil, CDI, and proceeded to the wiring and that's when I found it. I bypassed the keyswitch and bam, problem solved. When you get the chance, trace your entire harness and look for any pinched or broken wires. Insulation may have worn off a critical wire and it's grounding itself out on the frame or something...Make sure all connections to your coil and CDI are snug, maybe something rattled loose I can't imagine it being anything too major, it's just finding it that can be the PITA
  5. You don't want to over-ride the kill switch, how would you turn it off then? You haven't let us know if you checked your coil, or checked for any broken grounds, etc. We can't just pull the answer out of our ass without you telling us what all you have done. It's a two way street man, what have you done or checked?
  6. Hawaii is badass!! I got married there last year, hell of a place to go to!!
  7. DING DING DING! Winner! Of course it's good for the trails, all the way to the bank
  8. I know this sounds simple but have you cleaned the semi-dirty air filter yet? If it started running shitty once you put the air filter on, that's the first thing I'd clean / check. If you're running an outerwear on it (and it's dirty) I bet you're choking it for air
  9. Nobody said you couldn't ride it in the trails dumbass, the point we're trying to get across is the fact that it's not practical. Since your such a man why don't you go spend a 1200 bucks on a set of cylinders to trail ride with and prove us ladies wrong Show me the trail you're gonna ride that'll allow you to even hit 6th gear WOT with a set of cubs...Why don't you be the first one to show us how "trail-friendly" a set of cheetah cub cylinders can be if you're so convinced they'd be good to ride through the woods. Since we're all a bunch of dumbass ladies why don't you show us how easy they are to control in the trails
  10. That's real intelligent....since we have different opinions you call us stupid? That's OK, you go spend a small fortune on your "de-tuned" cheetah cub cylinders, I could care less how you spend your money. I'd rather spend my money where it counts
  11. lol
  12. Not sure how much fabricating it takes but here's the thread with pics of it...his name is svtjames and his post is about halfway down. I think it looks badass http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...ic=29803&st=120 Don't mean to hijack your post SSTbanshee, figured this might help sell them
  13. I agree...buying a set of cubs and "de-tuning" them to make them trail friendly is like buying a turbo for your car only to run 2 pounds of boost What's the point? If you're going to spend that much on a set of cylinders why not open them up as much as possible to achieve the highest possible HP, etc.?
  14. My best suggestion is to find a solid rolling chassis, that way you'll have most of the essential nuts and bolts you need to get it moving. That way it would be easy to tear down and get the frame PC'd or painted and clean up whatever needs it. Then you could either buy an engine complete or build it piece by piece and slap that puppy in there
  15. Well in another month or so my banshee won't be "trail ridable" anymore so I gotta get something! The yfz450's are mean machines!!!
  16. It takes some fabrication but the 450 arms can be used on a banshee. A guy on here (I think it was svtjames or something) did it to his, looked tight as hell
  17. Yamaha all the way! If all goes well, I'm picking up my YFZ450 tomorrow
  18. I hear ya, but....I still think he needs a rebuild!
  19. Outstanding!!! That's an animal I could hunt every day all day....All those damn scratches on my car from their dirty paws I hate seeing cats just roam free through the neighborhood
  20. A what? Do you mean boost bottle?
  21. It's almost worth creating a false ebay ID
  22. You are a real asshole!! If all you're gonna do is knock people down around here why don't you go fuck off?
