  1. Hell yeah!!! Glad to hear he's home! I'll drink a jager bomb to that tonight Thanks for keeping us up to date Preston!!!
  2. I agree with JJ...but also wonder could your carb slides sticking? Are both carb tops tight? If those are good I would definitely check your reeds. If one broke it would cause it to this....good luck and keep us posted!
  3. I agree with Rod, he's a pretty strong willed guy from what I've met of him...he definitely has my prayers and best wishes. If / when you see him let him know we're all pulling for him!!
  4. LMAO, too funny!!! I may try and make something in flash today......
  5. Coors light when I'm broke, New Castle when I get paid
  6. My best guess would be to just add more oil to your existing premix. It'll probably run like shit but you'll definitely smoke more You could always strap a dead skunk to your grab bar if you wanna stink em out
  7. ^^^^^^^^ What he said
  8. I know for a fact they cannot be...I broke mine a few months ago and had to buy another lower a arm. If you have the cash, get some aftermarkets. If not, hit ebay or pm 8HONDO, he's got a set of lower a-arms for sale off of a 99
  9. It's normal, just don't get on it "hard" until it's fully warmed up, you'll be OK. Also, what premix ratio are you running? If your premix has too much oil then it'll smoke like a teepee regardless if it's warmed up or not.
  10. I wouldn't keep the rear wheels flipped with the spacers...IMHO
  11. Fro, instead of looking into getting the head milled, have you looked into maybe re-ringing it and seeing what bit if life you can get out of it?
  12. What's wrong with it and how much? I'll fix it and roost your raptor with that 80's styling non reverse having POS...Good maintenance is all it takes to keep a 2 stroke alive.
  13. It's funny you mention this...I was talking with a friend of mine about starting to do the same thing, but we were going to do motorcycle parts, quad parts, and car parts as well. I have a bunch of friends who own or know people who own motorcycles and quads, and business could be boomin' as long as I can get the right materials for the job and be able to produce a good quality coating. We'll see though.... I'm with loco and RNBRAD on this one, if you know a lot of people locally that would be interested in having you powdercoat their stuff, go for it. I wouldn't stick to just quads though, that would seriously limit you to what you "could" make in profits. It's a great idea... I know there is only one, maybe two powdercoaters here in Memphis which was what gave me the idea to do the same as you Good luck to ya!!
  14. I look forward to seeing them. If the numbers from jinx's dynos aren't close to what A&S claims, I'm gonna just send my jugs off to get an aggressive port job rather than get the cubs. Jinx, I'd be willing to paypal you some cheddar to help sport the bill on the dyno
  15. I'm hoping to get some cubs but want to get some more feedback too before I drop a grand into them...I'm really looking forward to seeing a dyno sheet from an HQ'r rather than their (A&S) website.
  16. Thanks guys! I had seen the pro wedges mounted on some drag bikes before but wasn't sure what they ran them in....I really appreciate the info!!!
  17. I'm about to get into dragging my shee and the track I am going to run at has dirt and asphalt strips. What kind of tires would be ideal to run on the dirt? Thanks!!!
  18. Absolutely, you can run premium pump gas with nothing to worry about. I have damn near the same mods as you do....the 450 should be no problem Welcome to the forums!
  19. Check the "slides" that the caliper slides on....Dirt and gunk will get in there and cause it to stick. I usually clean mine out when I change the pads.
  20. Have you checked your reeds / cages? A broken reed can cause one cylinder to run shitty, worth a shot to take your carb off and peek in the intakes with a flashlight... I don't think it's your stator or CDI...if the CDI went out I don't think it would run at all...
  21. I know they were talking about the 18-21st, so I'm assuming they'll be there till Monday....
  22. I like how my works shocks improved my ride....I don't hit any big jumps or anything but I ride real hard through the trails and they feel great. One concern you might have with the yfz450 shocks on +2 arms is that they may be too soft; but am not sure.
  23. When I had my PT's on I ran a 27.5 pilot at first and it had a slight sputter. I dropped it down to a 25 and it was smooth as a baby's bottom. But, in your case, usually a bog means it's not getting enough gas...have you tried adjusting your air screws on the carb? You might be able to tweak it out with those
  24. I would imagine that something is bent. Check your tie rods or anything else that plays a role with steering for bends. If nothing is bent, I believe there is a steering stop that you can buy to prevent the wheel from turning too much
  25. Yes, you should be able to pick up the wheel and the polishing compound at your local hardware store.
