has anyone used these in replacement of the stock cylinder head nuts? i think that they would look good but i was wondering if they would stay torqued and not cause leaks if they were torqued properly, i assume they will providing that there is enough clearence inside of the cap to allow them to thread down the stud enough to give proper seating. i would measure them first before i use them but would like to hear others thoughts.

i've been running the 2000 series for well over a year at 50:1 (rejetted of course) and i've been very happy with it. a good buddy of mine has been running the 100:1 at 100:1 in his 420 and he hasn't had any engine problems by using this oil. he doesn't normally ride for extended periods of time so that maybe why he can get away with it. he's been trying to talk me into using the 100:1, if i do i'll probably run it at 80:1 just to be safe because i ride for longer periods of time than he does. i also use their 10w40 oil in my tranny and in my wifes 250ex without any noticeable problems and i'll continue to use it until i have problems with it but i don't foresee there being any problems. amsoil is good stuff.

welcome aboard. the letters CAM are my initials and the #2 is because i'm the second CAM so i use CAM2 as my user name for just about everything that i login to because it's hard to forget but of course after several coldies i tend to forget that as well sometimes.

yeah it's called "fromunda" cheese maybe it's head cheese, that crap stinks right from the package. break fluid will mess up the paint real bad if it's left on long enough.

i love this kind of stuff. like stan said with the shrimp we've put blue crabs in my buddies van, vents, doors seats, anywhere you can hind them and boy to they stink and the oils will soak into the fabrics and the stink will last a long time. potatoes stuffed up the tail pipe is funny and harmless. if you can get into the car you could pull fuses and disconnect wires under the hood, done that hahahahaha . liquid hunting and fishing scents are great because they are cheap and they stink like hell and they soak into fabrics good and the smell will last a long time. a buddy and i poured some skunk scent on this assholes convertable top at work years ago. . use your imagination and you can mess him up real bad without going to jail (hopefully).

yeah i think this is going to suck. i've been in the bay area since '86 and this is definitly the worse that if seen it so far. i live in north Tampa and work in east Stpete, it usually takes me 25 minutes to get home but because of the evacuations in Stpete I-275 was packed and it took damn near an hour and twenty minutes to get home. i knew that the traffic would suck so i bought some liquid refreshments for the stop and go ride. good luck to everyone who may be effected and try to be safe, i hope to talk to everyone after this crap passes.

you might want to try it again and kick it over more than 10 times. when i checked mine before and after i put on the coolhead with 20cc domes i had to kick it quite a bit in order to get a good reading. i know it sucks but you'll need to kick you butt off. i'm basically at sea level, the bike was about 8 months old when i put the new head on and my new gauge read 130psi on each cylinder before and 181psi after. this chart is from nossmachine.com. remember these are approximate numbers, but damn close to what i read. Sea Level 1000' 2000' 3000' 4000' 5000' 18cc 238 229 221 213 205 198 19cc 211 203 196 189 182 175 20cc 184 177 171 165 158 153 21cc 157 151 146 140 136 130 stock 130 125 120 116 112 107

i use it and will continue to do so, i believe that it does make a difference. i put it in my shee at the same time that i put in a new aluminum impeller and a temp gauge so i can't tell you how much better it is than normal coolant. but after i intalled the coolhead i noticed that it runs about 8 degrees cooler.

cutting the springs sounds like a good idea just as long as they're not cut too short. if you wanted to stay with the thumb throttle then you should look into getting an extended thumb throttle lever. i bought one from cascade and it does make a difference. i don't have 35mm's (yet) but my thumb doesn't get fatigued as quickly as it did with the stock lever. i ride a lot of tight trails so i'm on and off the throttle a lot and my thumb would get fatigued quickly but not now with the new lever.

led that is ingenious and hilarious as hell.

yeah terraserver is cool, i've used it for years to search out hunting, fishing, and riding areas as well as topozone.com for gps reference points.
