  1. got1, have you tried adjusting your timing? like the others have stated, it's probably your jetting, but if you think that you're close on the jetting try adjusting the timing + and - , some setups work good with some timing changes, just a suggestion.
  2. thanks guys. i ordered the RS on friday. i don't think that $35 was too bad. i like the idea that it's marked. stan, that's a good idea to be able to move the pick up especially if you're adjusting your timing a lot due to different conditions, definitaly convient. Trinity racing's plate is like that (pro design isn't) but that option wasn't worth $100 in my opinion, i'll set it for +4 and maybe mess with it a little to see if a degree or two makes a difference. i have a +4 degree key on now but i plan on doing some motor work this summer so i don't want to chance sheering it off with the extra HP.
  3. hhhhmmmmmmm, some what touching if i have my way there will be a banshee in my possession for a long time to come and one thing is for sure is that it will always have a place in my heart and it will never be forgotten in my mind . these so called self proclaimed world beater four chokes have a long way to go in order to beat a top notch banshee in a drag race. the banshee was designed to haul a$$ in open terrain not to piddle around on a mx track. when in a drag race the further the distance the further a top notch banshee pulls away, i've seen this happen on several occasions. LONG LIVE THE BANSHEE
  4. don't worry about it. run it at the recommended 50:1 ratio. the most important thing is that you're JETTED PROPERLY for running WOT for long distances. amsoil is good oil, the 2000 oil is designed for severe racing conditions so if you're JETTED PROPERLY you won't have any problems, atleast not from the oil. when i first started using 50:1 2000 oil i was nervous as well but no longer, as long as they continue to sell it i'll continue to use it with confidence.
  5. ooops, pics of the rocket pipes.
  6. hey guys where can i find picks of these pipes. i did a search here on this site and i couldn't find any pics and this link that was posted earlier doesn't work: borrinckracing.com thanks.
  7. hey guys, i'm planning on putting small automobile driving lights on the front and the lights come with 55 watt halogen bulbs so i was wondering if i will harm anything in the electrical system by running these lights with the stock stator? i know that the lights won't be as bright as they could be but i'm not concerned with the brightness because i can't ride at night in the areas that i ride, i just want a different look with the new lights. when i decide if i want to get them i'll check and see if i can put 35 watt bulbs in them, i'm pretty sure that i can, that way i won't have to worry about it. thanks.
  8. everything that reas11 said is exactly how i feel, that was some what disturbing and i've been hunting and harvesting game animals since i was a kid and that never disturbs me. i guess because it was a fellow country man is what makes it some what disturbing. after this i hope some of the peace mongers realize what horrible people we as a nation our up against and start supporting the effort to rid this world of the peace of $hit people like that. "KILL THEM ALL"
  9. do you guys who have removed your parking break miss it? i kind of like having it but i want to start lightening the shee a little and i know that it's not much but every little bit helps. thanks.
  10. i agree with nater006. if you didn't take your carbs off and drain them completely of fuel before you stored it then you will have to take them off now and clean them real good. even if you ran the bike until it stalls there will still be some fuel in the bowls, the gas will evaporate and the oil won't so what you will end up with is crud in the bowl that will eventually clog your jets when the new fuel flows through the system.
  11. first and fore most you will need a class three fedaral firearms license to buy and possess a fully automatic weapon legally(there are other ways). secondly you better have a lot of cash in order to purchase one and to shoot one. you can't just go down to your local gunshop and purchase one like you can a semiauto............that's if you are old enough and aren't a convicted felon.
  12. Scott, what pipes are you using? thanks.
  13. if the carb came from trinity then it's most likely a keihin. if you look on the side just above the bowl there will be a series of letters and numbers stamped there. if you see 70R within the series of L&N's then it's a 35mm, if you see S46 within the L$N's then it's a 33mm.
  14. yeah they're not for me. it probably would look better with a different set of head lights. i kind of like the rear fenders though.
  15. also what bad things can happen when it does seperate?
  16. tats4life were the delta3's tested with the sst's and k&n, and if so did you test the delta2's with the sst's and k&n? thanks.
  17. how often does a stock crank seperate? when is it usually recommended to have a crank welded, after what level of horsepower, compression, mods, hours, etc..? thanks.
  18. Has anyone who has used these have problems with the carbs popping off of the carb boots(intake boot) or the carb boots tearing due to the lack of a support for the carbs after the stock air box has been removed? Thanks.
  19. like fixitrod has been saying it sounds like you're rich on top. after the first time that i had ridden mine after i put SST's on it i put a 15 on the front. i'm with bigboybanshee, i feel the same as he does and all i do is ride in the woods. "I ride mostly trails and I found that the bigger gear in front helps with fewer shifts and it stays in the powerband a little longer."
  20. i like the SST's as far as an all around pipe is concerned. i like the mid range pull but i wish that they reved out on top a little more. for my type of riding i need and enjoy a mid to top pipe. also i keep wondering if i'll be better off with the DMC's or possibly another pipe after i get some port work done, most likely a mx style port job. chuck.
  21. thanks guys. it sounds like i'm on the right track but i'll find out for sure next weekend.
  22. i'm a happy amsoil user as well. when i use up the three quarts of 50:1 i have left i'm going to try the 100:1 mixed at 80:1 for starters. i like the fact of using less oil with the same or better protection than the standard two stroke oils. less chance of fouling plugs(never happens) and longer life for my silencer packing.
  23. i'll take one.
  24. when i was looking at getting an exhaust system for my 03 i was fond of the DMC 916 system but i settled on the FMF SST system because the consensus was that the SST's were a great all around system. i keep thinking that i would like to try the DMC's and compare them to my SST's so i keep looking on ebay and i can't seem to find a set. i was wondering if the DMC's are so good that everyone wants to keep them or are they that bad and they never caught on with banshee riders. i like the looks and sound of the 916's but i'm more concerned with performance and i was wondering if they would out perform the SST's as a mid to top pipe. thanks. chuck.
  25. i have the opportunity to try a trinity 2:1 35mm keihin setup and i was hoping that i could get some help on some base jetting. my bike is stock except for FMF SST's, +4 degree key, coolhead with 20cc domes (approx. 180psi). i will be using a clamp on K&N and i'm at sea level. i picked up 170, 175, 180 jets thinking that i should be close but if the consensus says differently then i may have to pick up some different jets before i try and run it. i would like to be close when i install it because riding places aren't close. thanks. chuck.
