  1. i'm pretty sure the fzr clutches use stronger fibers.my big reed motor eats up clutches.i tried different barnett clutches and the carbon fiber one actually lasted the longest.i ran fzr clutch fibers and they ran much better but would still tend to slip off the line a bit .now i got a lockup and almost any clutch will work when you use one of these.my sons passion motor will destroy a clutch in one or two 500 ft passes so he runs fzr 1000 fibers and plates with a lock up and it works ok. also you should not run automotive oils and tranny fluids in them.
  2. i'm at 3000 and ran 34mm keihin pj's with k&n pods, 175 pds compression, timing at +5 and used 38 pilots and 142 mains, air screws out 2 and a half turns and temp then was averaging 70 degrees.this may give you a starting point.i would probally go with 40 pilots and 145 mains air screws out 2 turns if i were you.keep check on your sparkplugs so that it is'nt burning to lean.hope this helps ya.
  3. they are, thanks again odaen.
  4. shock will work with an extended swingarm as long as the swingarm is made for a shock and is'nt a no link.
  5. yep if i were you i'd get some 33 pwk's .they'll make big difference.
  6. ok now this post is going way to far.statements like that just aint right.i don't care who you are.thats just asking for trouble.its time for alot of people on here to grow up.this name calling and and argueing wether or not we should be able use certain words and things of the sort is really starting to get very annoying and i'm sure i'm not the only one that thinks the way i do.this used to be a much more pleasant site.
  7. passion is your best bet .he'll beat the competetions prices.
  8. like i said alot depends on your set up.there is no perfect pipe that will work on every motor you put them on!!as for dyno's they may measure hp and torque but they don't show actual performance on the track.i have ran shearer in frames ,shearer out of frame, grand river, wicked and cpi's.the cpi's performed THE WORSE FOR ME.the shearers pulled great from bottom thru the top.the wicked pipes pulled great but did'nt have the topend that grr and shearer have.the grr's work the best of any pipe i tried so far with my motor setup.you must keep the shearers in the power more than grr's.i don't have a dyno graph but i can truthfully say grr's and shearers will show better results than cpi's.i have seen numerous dyno results.ask the guys over at ps and i bet 90 percent will say shearer all the way.
  9. i got 7 or 8 inches here and 10 degrees .
  10. i would say go with the grr's or shearers.i have run cpi's ,shearers and grr's.i love the grr's ,they pull harder on bottom than the shearers but the shearers pull a little more on top.grr's deffinately out perform cpi's all around.rdz's were the same as shearers but not sure about rdz's new pipes.we run drags with guys who run cpi's,power pro and a few other brands and when a few of them seen the grr's perform they switched to shearers.alot depends on your motor setup and jetting when it comes to pipes.talk to andy at grand river about his 420 suicide pipes.
  11. i have ran against two banshees at the dirt drags ,one with a cbr600 engine in it and one with a gsxr engine in it and had no problem smoking both of them.imo i'd just stick with the shee motor.
  12. i ran across these on ebay and this just aint right .the guy that buys this set of cylinders to get his shee running might be a bit mad when he gets them.lol.can ya see the problem with this set of shee cylinders? ebay cylinders
  13. yep for trails and jumping and such i'd deffinately stick with stock frame.if your only draggin or riding dunes then an aftermarket would be great.
  14. yeh i've seen them .my good buddy banshee332 on here [the guy with the green frame]lol ran them at the drags and they hooked up pretty hard.they seemed to work great on hard packed ,loose dirt, sand clay mix and even at the grass drags we ran.
  15. if your shee is pretty much stock i'd just go with a barnett carbon fiber or dirt digger clutch .if you have a more powerful modded motor go with fzr600 clutches.
  16. a few guys told me never to mix methenol with gas.i was also told you should'nt run aviation fuel in a banshee.something about wrong additives or something
  17. smi motorsports seem to have decent prices heres the link if it works:SMI MOTORSPORTS
  18. ebay theres a brand new stock crank for $309 and 4 mil long rod for $432.the might be junk but there cheap.
  19. we're at 3000 ft and we can run 17cc domes on pump gas if the motor is basically stock.my sons motor was pretty much stock a few yrs back with 17cc domes and he had over 225 pds compression and was running pump gas in it.with 18cc domes we normally have 175 pds compression.
  20. rdz's motors sure don't run like they should when you consider what rdz charges.
  21. shearers and grr's ,the two top pipes for real performance in mid and top.cpi's are ok but don't come anywhere near performing like shearers and grr's.
  22. hell of a deal, thats about 5000 bucks less than i'd take for mine.lol.as for ideas DON'T PAINT THE FRAME GREEN,it will make you really slow.
  23. those new kenda radials hook up like a mofo in the dirt.a buddy of mine bought a set of them to try at the dirt drags and they hooked way to hard.he runs a wild west chassis.banshee332 on here is also a buddy of mine ,he runs a stock chassis with a 10 mil stroker and they work just fine for him.myself i run either the turf tamers with every forth row cut out or if i want better traction i run the ohtsu radials which are a great tire for dirt drags.for trail riding i'm told they puncture easy.the ohtsu's look almost like the dunlops.
  24. wes them dang girls are distracting, lol.nice but distracting.
