  1. 927 is what i use and never had any problems.i use a mix of 40:1 .i mix it with turbo blue.castor 927 is probally one of the best oils out there.yeh i do love the smell too.
  2. I MUST SAY I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH THAT STATEMENT RNBRAD .PRICES ARE NOT ALL THE SAME.
  3. lol. i used a long blade in my sawsall to cut my turf tamers.i aired them up and tried a knife and different things .i noticed my sawsall setting there and got to thinking .it worked great on them.
  4. that 364cc sounds more realistic to me.i'm running thick walled sleeves and they can be bored to 72mm maybe 73mm .they are .40 over or 65mm now.
  5. wow 14 out of 16 right.
  6. talk to andy at grand river racing ,he makes about the best drag swingarm in just about any length you want..his prices are very hard to beat.as for tires ,i found turf tamers with every forth row cut out work great as do the otshu and dunlop radials but it depends alot on track.the radials are a great tire for almost any track.
  7. i'd check the vin number to see how hot it is. j/k
  8. pulls the same to me.as for the cost ,you are lookin at around 400 bucks give or take a couple bucks ,for lock up ,cover and bearing kit.if you are going with the 4mil cub i would seriously think about getting lockup set up,you won't regret it.especially if you are making higher hp and torque and have any plans of drag racing your shee.the hydraulic clutch system is great also but thats another 200 bucks give or take a few.
  9. damn wes you mean your agreeing with pops on this one.
  10. thanks loco

    wheelie bar

looks good mad ,where did you get that spring set up?
  12. should work ,i'v seen it done before.
  13. stock rechambered
  14. nope as far as alowing the clutch to slip a little it won't.you can however remove some weight by removing bolts and nuts from the fingers that squeeze against pressure plate so there is'nt as much force squeezing on the clutches.as i stated in an earlier post ANYONE who installs a lockup on they're clutch should also install a bearing kit to keep the adjuster ,ball and pushrod from welding they're selves together.i'v been there and done that and it aint pretty.the bearing kit is an inexpensive item compared to having to replace the parts it welds together and quite possibly the tranny shaft that the pushrod slides in.once installed do not rev the motor with the tranny in gear and clutch pulled with out the bearing kit or i can almost guarentee a welded and ruined adjuster ,ball and pushrod.jim at passion can sell you one of these bearing kits as can andy at grr.the bearing kit is also great with no lockup it will help take the friction off the adjuster, ball, and pushrod and the lockup cover is great with no lockup so then you can work on clutch without pulling entire cover off.just some advice and knowledge from experience.
  15. i think you got that backwards type f has the friction modifiers and the others don't.thats what i was told back in the early days when i was driving 50's,60's and 70's fords.
  16. lockup's are a unit that is bolted on to the pressure plate and works by centrifical force .the more the motor revs the harder it squeezes the pressure plate against the clutch plates to keep clutch from slipping.you must have clutch cover modded to use this unit and unless your motor is putting out close to 100 hp there is really no need for one.also almost everyone that sells a lockup dont tell you to also install a bearing kit to keep the clutch adjuster ,ball and pushrod from welding they're selves together from the extra pressure put on them.
  17. 175lbs at 3000ft stock modded head ,big reed conversion
  18. if your interested in a cub set up talk to "passionre" on here or call him 918-232-3950.jim's a great guy to talk with and he knows his shit.he will probally have the best deal you'll get on a stroker crank ,porting or cubs or what ever setup or parts you might want.
  19. i like my airstrykers .took longer to tune but they work great
  20. i think most guys that drag shees will disagree on that fastoys.i run a 1-5 overide and many times i crossed finish line in 4th gear.my sons x3 passion motor turns well over 10000 rpm's and with a 16-38 gearing i ran it at the drags that was 500ft and crossed finish line everytime in third gear and ran a best time of 5.8 secs. and a worst of 6.2 secs. and every pass it was still pulling like crazy.i didnt need 4th and 5th gear. a lot of the guys at the sands run 2-4 overides.they only run 300ft most all the time.it does all depend on your gearing and motor setup though.just my 2 cents worth
  21. i run gear saver in mine.i run a 1-5 overide done by rudy kurtz and he told me you should'nt run automotive type oils in them. i do know the detergent oils will cause the clutches to develop a glazing.just my 2 cents worth
  22. i run pwks and pwk airstrykers and they tune about the same although i think the airstrykers are a little more difficult to fine tune.the airstrykers are supposed to atomize the fuel better ,they have more vents and they also have fins in the inlet that direct airflow over the main jet .
  23. sorry but theres alot more to it than that.sure you can just cut them off the yz jugs and weld them on the shee jugs ,but thats not a conversion done right.all you are doing is grafting the flanges on. i think passionre will back me up on this when i say the average guy is not going to do a conversion he is only going to modify the intake flange to make the bigger reeds fit.thats why my jugs with conversion run so great.when the mandone the cylindersi have,he actully cut probally a quarter of my jugs off at least and reformed them.he did'nt weld on he built them into the shee jugs.i don't want everyone to get the impression that i think your better off with a big reed conversion compared to cubs , cheetahs or t-rexs or what ever.all i'm saying is that the guy that done my jugs knew exactly what he was doing and i may have the only set left in existance.to get a set of conversions to work like mine it will take a lot of work and know how.jim [passionre]had my cylinders awhile back to bore them, ask him about them and what it would take to build a conversion.if you change your mind and would rather have cubs or some other setup passionre would be probally the best guy to talk to in my oppinion.
