maybe its because up here all our hills are much bigger and steeper than the little bumps you guys down there call hills, but you sure did'nt look like you were hill climbing a hill in the vids i,v seen . you boys sure have little hills you's climb.we got 12 yr olds up here on kx 80's that would climb the hills you climb a hell of alot faster than u do.maybe it all falls back on riding skills. when "b" was only 6 yrs old he was climbing higher and steeper hills than those with his kx60. i believe the only guys that tried passion motors and did'nt like them are the ones who did'nt have enough knowledge to tune them and have the balls to actually rip the throttle wide open and hold on.

i know brad very well.he is a very good friend that goes to the drags with me everytime theres a race.he is a very honest ,hard working guy.although if you ever have to race him and he says "yeh i'll give ya a head start" you better not believe him. just kidding brad is a great guy all the way around .i've even seen him help a guy at the races that he knew he would have to race against and may not be able to beat just to help the guy out of a jam.

you get the intakes and cages or just the cages?

i don,t need these pistons but i will say i rebuilt a stock motor with no porting 2 yrs ago and used super stock pistons and it made a huge difference.deffinately gave a noticeable power increase.i ran k&n pod filters, coolhead and drag pipes and it really ripped for a motor with no port work and stock crank.

i believe when a criminal is found guilty they should be handed over to the victims family or families to carry out what ever punishment they feel he should have as long as the criminal is publically tortured before he or she is killed so that anyone else that gets the idea to commit a violent crime gets to see what the punishment will be.

your right i may never of seen your bike run, saying you'll loose your title is not so much bravery as it is confidence.as for seeing my bike run ,no you have'nt really seen it run,you may of seen a vid of me playing and having fun.the only way you will see my bike run for sure is when you are actually lined up beside me at the starting line.i don't care who built your motor or anyone else's.you pull up beside me with stock cylinders ported by anyone who ports and a stock stroke running gas and i guarentee you will not beat me when i'm running my toomey motor.if you have stock cylinders ported and a 4 or 7 mil on gas you better pull a hell of a good holeshot on me or you'll get beat.i have'nt ran against any cubs yet ,but i'm still not afraid of racing against them.the way it looks i will have maybe 3 cub motors to run against when season starts and all i can say is they beter be well tuned .you think maybe we could see some dyno results on some of these F.A.S.T built motors.both the cubs and stock cylinder motors.?maybe i missed them but i don't recall seeing any.

i almost forgot about this if you care to see a real drag motor in action here it is click here

.first off when your running a drag motor you gotta take time to tune it .we tuned on the x3 for quite sometime.since there is'nt a drag motor like it your everyday tuning technics will not work like they do on other motors .to get it to kick ass you don't run trail pipes on a motor of this type and you don't run stock ignition with this motor and you gotta be in touch with the builder and be able to explain to him and then you gotta be able to listen to what he says.it took alot of tuning and communication with jim to get B's x3 to run and kick ass the way it does.i guarentee if you put your title on the line and raced me on the x3 you would loose your title.you see b's x3 has proved itself against 535 cheetahs by rudy and trinity ,it has beaten rdz triple exhaust port on alky a couple times ,it has beaten a white knuckle motor ,it has beaten a motor done by wicked ,it has beaten a 7 mil rudy motor ,a few other rudy kurtz 4 mil motors.how many reputable builders motors has your new motor beaten so far.i bet it won't beat a finely tuned port magic motor. the x3 will.time after time.

Installed New Clutch, But it Doesnt Seem to Engage
blueshee03 replied to smkmupbanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
mine done the same thing.i installed a new barnett carbon fiber set.the fibers are thinner on these and and since these were thinner and my pressure plate was worn down enough the clutch would'nt take hold.i had to put a new pressure plate in it. -
i will vouch for "b" on the x3 .i know how it runs because i'v ran it myself against the rdz on alky twice in one night in two different classes and smoked his ass both times .the x3 impressed me enough to order one from jim and i don't impress that easily.i don't know who you are strokrbanshee1 but if you would enlighten me on the cylinders you are refering to i would like to hear about them.i'm pretty sure the x3 cylinders "b" has is his original cylinders.oh by the way in case you don't already know i am "b"s dad.

first off the +10 is probally to much.how much you weigh? i weigh 175 pds run a +4 .your weight is probally the biggest factor when choosing swingarm length.when i launch i set back on the seat bring it up on the wheelie bar and keep it there till it drops unless it gets a little to wild.lol.when i ran without a bar i ran a stock arm and would set almost on tank to let it spin and when it started spinning i would slide my weight back till i got the traction i needed.takes practice.

i might give these a try along with a set of they're intakes.price is right on reeds and intakes.both for price of v-forces. click here

whats my hp going to be
blueshee03 replied to THEREALBUDLIGHTBANSHEE's topic in General Banshee Discussion
those are good numbers with the mods you have.i don't think you are going to notice as much horsepower increase with changing carbs as you will torque change.like i said before ,stroke it 4 mils and try it again.if ya can i'd jump up to 33mm pwk carbs or maybe 35mm carbs.i bet then you see 68-70 hp .alot of guys make the mistake thinking bigger carbs mean more hp but that is not true in most cases.in most cases people are way over carbed. -
yeh it takes away from topend, but higher compression does give more bottom end.165-175 is a great compression range.

58hp , 39ft lbs torque throw in a stroker and try it again -
barnett is not the best clutch made i agree .who manufactures these fast clutches?what is the fibers composed of?not being smart or anything but just would like to know a little more about the product.loco you think if i bought one of the fast clutches i could take my lockup out and run the dirt drags without having it slip, smoke, rip the fibers off, muddy up the gearlube or anything?that lockup is extra weight i could get rid of.
-
sorry if i offended anyone ,i'm not trying for a pissing match here.everyone must realize that the thickness and width don't mean everything.you can have thin narrow fibers that grip and hold up better than thick wide ones and also the other way around.the material that they are made from is just as important if not more important.i know from my experience with being on bikes almost everyone of them yamahas, that the street bike clutches are alot stronger and more reliable than the banshee clutches they sell.if fast uses fj600 fibers and people that buy them and swear by them, then i guess fast and i agree that the street bike fibers are the best way to go when replacing clutch if you want a clutch that holds up.again i did'nt mean to offend anyone just trying to shed a little light on the subject in question.
-
so basically if its aftermarket fj600 clutch fibers they are fibers that are cork based with aluminum particles embedded in them to increase wear life and heat resistance.i used to run yamaha maxum street bikes and that is the fibers they used.also basically the same as the numerous other yamaha power bikes including the r6. they sound like the aftermarket clutches EBC makes and they sell for around 70.00 bucks.these were some very good clutches to stand up to the power and torque these bikes had.just some info from a longtime yamaha rider. i did a little research and the fj600 used the same clutch as these applications : Yamaha FZX700 S/SC/T/TC 86-87, Yamaha FJ600 L/LC/N/NC 84-85, Yamaha FZ600 S/SC/T/TC/UC/U 86-88, Yamaha YZF600 R R6 99-02, Yamaha YZF600 RRR R6 03-04, Yamaha XJ600 SD/SDC/SE/SEC/SF/SFC/SG/SGC/ SH/SHC/SJ/SJC/SK/SKC SECA II 92-98, Yamaha YX600 S/SC/T/TC/U/UC/W/WC/A/AC 86-90, Yamaha XJ650 G/H/J/K Maxim 80-83, Yamaha XJ650 LH Midnight 81, Yamaha XJ650 LJ/LK Seca Turbo 82-83, Yamaha XJ650 RJ Seca 82, Yamaha XJ700 N/NC/S/SC Maxim 85-86, Yamaha XJ700 XN/XNC/XS/XSC Maxim 85-86, Yamaha FZ750 N 85, Yamaha FZ750 S/SC 86, Yamaha XJ750 J/K/MK Maxim 82-83, Yamaha XJ750 RH/RJ/RK Seca 81-83, Yamaha TDM850 D/DC/E/EC 92-93, Yamaha XJ900 RK Seca 83

in my oppinion i prefer the stock ported cages over v-force.for what they cost compared to the performance gain it just aint worth it.
-
they look like they would flow pretty good to me.they also are a heck of alot cheaper .might have to try a set.as for v-force reeds in my oppinion they are just an over priced product that is not worth the price they want.stock modded cages will flow just as good and perform as well.but then thats just my oppinion
-
i wonder if i can get one of these "f.a.s.t" clutches free of charge to do some testing on up here at the drags with the passion motor and the big reed motor in april when race season starts. what alot of guys don't realize is when they're clutch gives them trouble alot of it could be in the pressure plate and inner clutch boss its self .they get worn and it does'nt take much wear to cause a clutch even a brand new one to slip.
