  1. hey loco, you just gained 16 more posts from your 10,000 post celebration thread...sweet
  2. damn, i thought that said "BOG", no wonder it didn't make any sense
  3. the bushing in the arm that connects to the swingarm is getting sloppy, so i'm replacing all the linkage bearings at once, just as the kit comes. what's weird is this - first of all, the directions in the package for "all balls" states to grease all the "needle bearings" well before installation. all balls bearings uses needle bearings anyway, i start into the parts, and there's no needle bearings/roller bearings, any kind of 'bearing', just the steel centers and sleeves that fit over them, and seals of course. any other bushing/bearing i've ever replaced has needle bearings or something, so is this supposed to be better or what? i actually kind of like the idea of it over the others which usually get trashed really quick with the smallest amount of dirt in there, fall apart and destroy the rest of it. anyone else ever use these all balls bearings, and like them or not??

  5. post whore!! and you don't even charge for your services -- cheap post whore!! or is that more of a post slut congrats bud you need to hit up lee for a higher level description
  6. imagine have septuplets or some shit and having one of each of those. that would be a crazy household.
  7. just imagine that you are on your shee running from the cops, rather than being an escort for one. they award extra points for a quicker time through the course, so you shouldn't have any problems seriously bud, don't worry about it. don't let the instructor intimidate you, and just do what you've been taught to do. stay cool and you'll be fine. let us know how it turns out.
  8. recently i've seen different explanations of rich and lean on here. it's no wonder newbies get confused. so correct me if i'm wrong but here's my take on it: if you're talking mixing your gas, like a typical 2 stroke, mixing 'more rich' is adding more oil to the gas. mixing 'more lean' is less oil mixed with the gas. the gas is what it is, so it's the amount of additive to it (oil) that determines more rich (more oil) or more lean (less oil) if you're talking fuel to air ratio, on any gas powered vehicle, then a rich mixture means an increased amount of fuel to the mix, while maintaining or decreasing air flow, and a lean mixture means an increased amount of air flow while maintaining or decreasing the fuel flow. this is why anytime you modify or increase air flow, you have a 'lean' condition in which you need to 'richen' the fuel flow to compensate for it. i thought this was kind of an across the board definition of rich/lean, no matter where you are or what your dealing with. but i still see different takes on it all the time, and not just on this site. is it seen differently in different areas, or just misunderstood??
  9. i would think that 40:1 is pretty lean for breakin purposes. that is less oil than 24:1, or 32:1, so as far as 40:1 providing better protection, that's bass ackwards. i ran 24:1 for the first 2 tanks or so in mine when it was new, then switched to 32:1 after and still run it. as far as mods, nothing is going to breathe life into your shee like a set of pipes, new air filter kit, and rejetting to compensate. it's not cheap, probably like around $500 to guesstimate, but without them anything else will only produce minimal gains. that's your first best move, then intakes/reeds. after that it's only limited by your budget, the mods are endless.

    shane?

i've seen several referrals to you for shock questions, so here it goes. do you have replacement bushings for Works triple's w/o rezzies? I talked to somebody at works this evening to order some new ones. i've gotten new ones once before and they were a little different than what was orginally on them. the original bottom was 2 steel bushings w/rubber o-rings and a thin sleeve over them on the inner part. upper was a straight urethane bushing with a spacer on each side and a steel sleeve center. the first replacements i was sent was a 2 piece urethane bushings that look like a top hat with thinner spacers and a steel sleeve center. others were just a straight urethane bushing with a steel sleeve and spacers. the guy at works seemed to be giving me the 2 steel bushings with o-rings this time, and the straight urethane with spacers for the other. what's the deal? the straight urethane with the sleeve and spacers seem to work top or bottom and is a lot cheaper, any reason why you can't run this set up instead?? thanks.
  11. kind of off the subject, but i just bought a HP Photosmart printer (8250). our old printer was junk, hasn't worked right for months. this thing's pretty sweet for digi-pic's, and it's super fast printing anything else. camera plugs in to it, or it takes 4 different kinds of mem cards. it has a little preview screen on the printer to scroll thru pics, etc. no computer needed to work with digi pics. awesome!!
  12. i've done exchange deals with them before and never got a free t shirt but they still kick ass for parts/accessories
  13. best wishes to you and your family...i believe in prayers more than luck
  14. i'd keep it on. i'm sure you'll see shorter chain and sprocket life without it.
  15. what's your friend have to say about it?? i'd hit him up for some history on what he did to it recently. maybe it's something simple like having the carb bowls swapped, or the carbs out of sync or something
  16. if it's that hard to pull, maybe it's kinked, or you have other problems. try to lube it with wd-40. if it doesn't loosen up easy, get a new cable. if it's still hard to pull, check the push lever assembly and bearing. mine was trashed once and it was super hard to pull. i have a motion pro cable now, which is pretty slick, even with 6hd springs in my tusk kit.
  17. i wouldn't ride it bud. it's bound to lead to more problems. i hate torquing clutch parts. i just snapped off a spring bolt this morning on my nephew's blaster. i hit up the local hardware for a new bolt and then snugged them by feel with a small 1/4" ratchet, like i usually do.
  18. mine is a kodak easy share cx7530. 5mp. it's worked great so far. not top of the line, but a pretty good middle priced camera. it has lot's of options, even takes short videos.
  19. the 'wrap' looks like it has more surface mounted to the trailer, and would be more sturdy... go with the wrap.
  20. cool good to see ya back, lol.
  21. hey tithead, sounds like your spending a lot of time "sliding along the ground on my front". lol i've only used my fox airframe and it's great for roost deflection etc. haven't had a crash with it on yet though, not looking forward to it either. they aren't indestructable but even if it did crack/break, well that's better for it to absorb some of the impact than your ribs taking it all. i had open heart surgery a few years back and i'm really concerned about rib/chest injuries too, so anything is better than nothing. try some on and see what's the most comfortable for you. the air frame is really comfortable for me, i don't even notice it's there when riding till i hear something cracking off of it, lol. unless one of my buds punches me in the chest to test it out, which seems to happen pretty often. by the way, not sure where you're pricing them but rocky mtn. atv has pretty decent prices and lots to choose from.
  22. hmm, that's a good one. sorry man, can't help ya much there. having a new computer shouldn't make any difference. i've logged on from a different computer at work from time to time without a problem. and if you started a new account just fine, i guess this one is up to lee. yeah bud, where's the pic's of your cut plastics??
  23. nope.
  24. yeah, i go off of the gas pump too. 4 gal of gas in the jug cuz i mix yamalube 32:1, which is 16oz (1 bottle):4 gal. pretty easy mixing if you ask me.
  25. i kill every little critter that i can in my garage/basement. never seen a recluse that i know of, but when it comes to spiders and other little legged bastards, the less the better.
