  1. Not from my experience. Ive raced a few T5 bikes and beat them all. It always seemed to be top end power that got me the win. Of course porting differences play a huge roll though. My advise is for anybody that thinks they want to try DMC 916's... Get them. I almost guarentee youll love them. The sound, power delivery, and look are top notch. If you want everybody else has got get the T5's or some FMF's.
  2. Might not have the spring wrapped tight enough. Spin it over one more time and then hook it and see what happens.
  3. Stock flywheel? Had a Ricky Stator flywheel burn up 5 or 6 stators.
  4. I think i could port jugs and be good at it. The problem is I dont have the extra jugs to learn on.lol Im not screwing mine up making trial runs.
  5. You sure its not coming form the heads and running down and appearing to come for the bottom nuts. There shouldnt be coolant coming from those nuts. There are no coolant passages around that area.
  6. Huh? Still not getting it. There are no screws. Lets talk nuts and bolts. Do you mean there is colant leaking from the nuts from the bottom of the engine cases?
  7. I had the Toomey setup. I prefer the pods over it.
  8. Could be the shift shaft. The end that is behind the clutch cover has an arm on it that actuates the shift drum. Sometimes that arm will loosen to the point that it spins around.
  9. The stockers are pretty damn tough. If you havent bent one I dont see the point in changing.
  10. I bought one and burnt up 5 or 6 stators. Bought a OEM one and havent had a problem since. The tolerances were to close form the inside of the FW to the stator. It would make slight contact at several different points.
  11. I think the point was the kind of guys that kind get this done dont need to ask questions. I think thats what Snop meant.
  12. Ive had Razors and razor 2's and I cant say enough about them. Great tire IMO. They wear good and hook very well. Ive never had the Kendas but cant imagine them being any better than the razors. Plus I only paid $297 shipped for the razor 2's. All four. Thats hard to beat.
  13. Thats impossible. Theclutch cant work that way. It has to have the fingers around the fiber plates that go into the basket. If you only had steels the hub would just spin.
  14. Thats the needle jet I think they call it..? Ive had that a happen years ago to my stockers. Seems like it'll just screw back into place.
  15. Yeah thats too much. I use Vito's. They do great work and are reasonable. Ask for Lane.
  16. That color is usually from the clutch plates wearing.
  17. Well I always say get the DMC 916's. They are a great pipe. They hit really hard in the mid range and pull good up top.
  18. Yep. 20lbs. A $25 Clymer is the best mod for a Shee.
  19. Sounds like it may have not been milled true. Id spend the money and get a aftermarket head. Im pretty sure the stock head gasket is top and bottom though. Thats probably the problem.
  20. I wouldnt mind loading some different maps to mine. I run the stock setting because im not sure of the other settings. The person that said they loaded maps on it im not so sure about either so a reputable source would be cool.
  21. Backfiring can be caused by a few things. Being too lean or being to rich. Also the timing can cause a backfire. You may have an electrical issue. Swap some parts off of your shee onto his and see what happens. Stator, flywheel etc..
  22. Thats nothing to worry about. Id worry about a builder who told me that was detonation.
  23. If its been ridden in a week or two... One carb choked and one kick.
  24. I putting my stock pipes back on right now!
  25. Man the Banshee is the Cadillac of quads. Its much more roomy and comfortable than any of the others. Im 6' around 210-215 and it fits me perfect. I cant stand the newer quads. On my brothers TRX450R I feel like "Fat guy in a little cooooaaat". The thing is Im not fat. These new bikes are just cramped as hell and the seats suck.
