  1. Mines been that way for 6 years atleast. Ive rebuilt the engine several times and been through several clutches and havent had any problems.
  2. The only thing I could think of is if you're running really rich. Maybe some carbon or oil build up.
  3. Yeah, some more info would be helpfull. You both have the grammer of my 6 year old son. It may sound silly, but proper grammer and ledgible sentence structure will help you get answers much faster. Just try it.
  4. Hold the throttle open and keep kicking untill the needle stops moving. It generaly takes more than a few kicks. Like 10-20.
  5. A backfire usually means its loading up on fuel.
  6. I dropped down to a 50 pilot and a 175 main. I tell ya what. It runs much better. Previous was 52/180. Its still not dialed in yet but it runs hard. Now Im starting to feel like it was money well spent. I think they'll really wake up my port job once i get them perfect.
  7. I wouldnt change piston sizes unless you need to. It sounds to me like you need to send the jugs off to a reputable shop and let them handle it. Also, two stroke engines do not have cams. We're laughing at you not with you.
  8. In all seriousness. These may help.
  9. Cams. Definitely cams.
  10. If installed properly the said screw CANT come out. Ive had them for 6-7 years with no problems.
  11. I run Castor 927 @ 32:1. Seems to work fine and smells good.
  12. Mix ratio depends on your brand of oil and jetting.
  13. Well Ive got the OKO's form CPW. Im not sure what they put in it. The numbers dont match anyhting kehein makes. I guess Ill have to give them a call.
  14. No its very simple. Its just you can get torque specs out of the book. Good luck with it. Let us know what you find. Could be something as simple as a jetting change.
  15. Yes it could. Thats the point I was making earlier. I would definitely take the clutch cover off and check everything out. I mean heck it couldnt hurt. Do you have a Haynes or Clymer manual for it.
  16. This borders on the stupidity of 24"+ wheels.
  17. Yeah thats exactly what I was thinking. With no load it can rev and the hard hit overcomes what ever the hell it is holding it back. Im gonna think on this one. lol!
  18. Thanks differentstrokes. Thats around the size I was thinking. Yeah we are gonna go do some chops on both our bikes pretty soon. Ill also try those needles. I wonder how those needles would work on my setup?
  19. LOL! Yeah like I said its hard to tell by those pics. The angle of the top pick makes it look ok but the bottom gives a whole different angle. Good luck with the build.
  20. It sounds like it doesnt want to come up on the pipe? Or its just sluggish? And it does it even in first? Sorry if Im being redundant. Its done this since you got it or it just started? This is very important.
  21. Man. This is a strange one. So the bike was running ok but all of a sudden it started running like this? I know you said it sat up for a while. All wheel bearing ok? Does it roll freely? You said you werent sure of the clutches condition right? Maybe check that. And this happens even in 1st? Sounds like something is binding and/or causing drag. The hard hit of "clutching" it over comes what ever it is. What is it is the question.
  22. Well the left piston doesnt look bad. It looks like it should. The fact that you can see bare piston on top of the right piston is what tells me something went wrong. Like I said though its hard to tell with pictures. The reason I asked what saide is because everytime Ive had trouble with mine its the right side. I wonder if its something this engine is prone to or just coinsidence.
  23. Hmm. Yeah Its hard to see depth from the pictures. It just looks like to me they had a carbon layer over them then something caused it to burn off. Like I sadi before I had it happen twice like that. I just remembered the second time I broke a ring and pieces of it got on top of the piston and basically beat the carbon off the piston. The more I look at it the more I think it leaned out or detonated for some reason. What reason I dont know. Is that the right side piston?
  24. Something caused that cylinder to go lean and /or detonate. Possibly an air leak? Ive had two do that as well. One turned out to be cracked intake boots. Cant remeber on the other.
  25. Hey guys. I just finished a rebuild for a friend of mine and now it needs some tuning. He's got FMF pipes, Trinity 35mm single, Vito's power pistons, stock porting. The bike has never been right since he bought it. The jets are 50pilot, needle third clip, 175 main. It runs way too rich on the pilot and possibly the needle. It does rev out pretty clean once it gets going but the main may be a little rich as well. I know what it needs Im just not sure of a good starting point for the pilot. Any suggestions? Thanks guys. Michael
