Has anyone ever traded a banshee in on a new machine from a dealer? Just wondering if they would even do it. I have never walked into yahama and seen a used banshee for sale! The wife gave me the go ahead for a new 450. Any ideas what they would give me.

I am sure they would take it but not give you much for it. I have seen used ones around here. I would try selling it privately first

For the most part,your gonna get raped no matter what you trade in.Even selling private,you'll never get as much as you'd like,especially if you have alot of mods.But you never know,the right person might come along and be exactly what they want.

I kinda thought that they wouldn't buy back thier most beloved machine. I want to keep it and buy the new one, but the wife just don't see why I would need two. Thanks for the heads up!

better off selling in your own. a dealership will fuck you hardcore on a trade in. why not just trade for a used 450?

If you are lucky they will offer you 1k or 1.5k and then if you stop in a week or two later you will see it on the showroom floor for sale for like 3k. Sell it privately or part it out.

When I worked for the dealer over here, They would give you blue book trade in value on the trade but then they would sell the new machine at suggested retail rather then the price marked.

Ya man if your gonna get a 450 sell the shee your self or part it out, the dealers wont give you anything, back when I had a blaster I bought it brand new an it was an 03 1 year later with lots of modds an it was better than new an I keep my quads immaculate they only gave me $1500 I was gonna sell it for like $2700, ya an that was back like 4 years ago when I was hell bent on gettin a 450 an of course $1500 dont make a big difference when you buy a brand new YFZ,

on the flip side last year when I traded my MX modded YFZ in on a brand new shee they gave me $4500 I was gonna sell it for $5000 an I payed off tha shee the day I bought it, I got my new 06 S.E banshee for $4700 OTD.

I crashed it pretty bad and bent the frame.
