Smh....

If you have an ac/dc converter, YOU DONT NEED TO FLOAT THE GROUND.

If you want to float the ground, you will need a DC REGULATOR anyway.

I made my own ac/dc converter/regulator, the thread should be here somewhere....

Elaborate. AC DC converter as in rectifier?
Yes you will need a regulator as well , most use combined reg/rec unit

If you float the ground, it became DC.
But, you will have voltage peaks and you dont want that so you need a "regulator" to always have a stable 12v.

Or you buy a unit that do both and you dont need to play with the stator. You can find some of those unit on ebay.

Or you make one, like i did.

I though that the link i posted was an ac/dc converter/regulator, but it wasnt because you need to float the ground.

I hope it's clearer now ;-)

Hold on!!!!

You have 2 ways to get DC on a banshee

1- Buy a kit ( https://www.jdscustoms.com/product/jl-engineering-complete-dc-conversion-kit/)

2- Do the floating ground mod on your stator.

These are 2 differents things!!

What about using a rectifier? I bought a cheap one on eBay and run a Rigid light bar off my snowmobile that doesn’t have a battery. Zero issues.

I'm going to check the wiring harness tomorrow. Make sure the grounds are grounded and the connections aren't loose. I take a pic of the voltage regulator.

Kawa, I'm shipping your throttle cable tomorrow.

Just got the case saver. Its bigger and beefier than I expected. 45d9a195dd620ee21af8eeeb40a4314f.jpgb07ba23d66b2c80723e8b961b85f5ba7.jpg

Iirc, you usually have to do a little bit of triming. ( Might be for stock covers tho... Just don't freak out if it doesn't fit perfectly.

FYI also, they sell different ones for a different sprocket size ranges. so before you trim, make sure you got the right one

Thanks. Good to know.

Cant be any worse than these plastics.

I got the small sprocket case saver (12-15).
