Thinking about pulling the trigger on a set of floats or elkas to go with a long travel aarm set up..price is about even just wanted some pros and cons from ppl who currently run either set up.

I have Stage 4 LT Elkas, I think they are heavy...

Tyler, any idea in weight between the Elkas and Floats you had?

The Floats are a few pounds lighter per side.

I can check them if you want to know for sure.

Both great shocks. Fox is lighter, more adjustabity on the go with the pump. Elka is good as well. Not worrying about a seal possibly blowing with Elka ( not saying it would happen on fox but could especially on a used set) and you don't have to keep the front end jacked up in the air when storing. Can't go wrong with either imo. Pick your poison, setup right and enjoy

A guy with a yfz had to send his evols back 3 times because they leaked and had gouges all over the shafts.

Brand new.

After the 3rd time he is not going back to fox.

This is the first I heard of any issue with Fox like this.

I did not know that!

I went with elka over fox only due to opinions on customer service opinions from forum members on both fox and elka. I actually had the vendor send my Elkas to me wrong. They send me fronts for non LT arms. Elka took care of me 100% free and was fast about it.

The only way id go with fox if there was an independent shop/person to send the stuff to for repair/warranty.

Keep in mind these are just my very low rider skill level opinions. I can not even out ride stock suspension.

I do like the fox shocks a lot. If I were to build a new play bike, it would have fox shocks. I had elkas on my old bike and they were great but I like the fox because they are more versatile
