  1. Those will barely last 30 seconds unless you do a DC conversion. LEDs don't pull as much as an incandescent bulb so Watt rating isn't the problem.
  2. Make sure the orange and black wires attached to the spade terminals on the coil are on properly and the wire is still connected to the spade inside the insulating boot. Seen them get bumped and broken while working in the vicinity.
  3. The extended ears for the caliper mount on the spindle and the lack of countersink on the hub for the rotor bolts tells me you for sure have the early stuff.
  4. Yamaha still sells OEM carbs, that DO NOT come with the T.O.R.S boxes. RMATV has them for $301.45. Maybe you should take your own advise.
  5. Although I don't see how they can compare their straight weight to a multi weight. especially when you know "W" means "winter"
  6. Anyway, for the OP... This is from Bel-Rays website to help clarify weights of motor oil vs gear oil . "A 10W-40 motor oil’s viscosity is actually similar to the viscosity of 80W gear oil, and the viscosity of SAE 10W-30 is similar to 75W gear oil."
  7. Well yeah, but he specifically said Klotz.
  8. Klotz flex drive 30 trans lube is 75w80. 75 cold 80 warm. not one or the other.
  9. usually happens when running out of fuel, or sticking slide or cable.
  10. Also, pistons in the right direction? Chock crossover tube in correctly?
  11. plugged up exhaust. Popular nesting spot when the pipes are laying about during a rebuild.
  12. forgetting the choke cross over hose can cause that.
  13. Drain hole so crap doesn't collect on top of the case and/or run into the stator area if the wiring boot has been breached. That hole is one of two.
  14. Not the two holes. should have a square stand off lower on the frame.
  15. You should already have the "L" ones, they hold the radiator too. The holes are threaded from the factory. But who knows what happens in 25+ years to one.
  16. 2GU-21513-00-00 STAY, FENDER 1 and 2GU-21514-00-00 STAY, FENDER 2
  17. There the tubular ones and the flat "L" shaped ones, left and right each.
  18. Bracket to frame is a flange head bolt 6x1.0 x 10mm, bracket to fender is a pan head screw 6x1.0 x 16mm with a nylock nut. I bought the cheapest ones I could find once too, threw them away and bought OEM.
  19. If it won't loosen or tighten it has galled threads. Will have cut and replace for sure. The top is the pivot, the bottom holds the adjustment. I lost one at the dunes once and replaced with SAE common bolt. Has held forever.
  20. Toomeys perfect jet kit is made for factory Mikuni carbs, of which no parts interchange with the Keihin PWK
  21. My crew will be down that weekend too. All the damage from the last encounter with Dano has bee repaired. (not that it was his fault, mind you) LOL
  22. That should be really close. You might try turning in the air screws a little. Also, if it sits a lot and depending on the fuel quality, the pilot circuit might just need cleaned.
  23. Does not matter...I run OEM 5k on one, NGK 5k on one, and cheap lawn mower no-res boots on one. Ohms don't multiply the more resistors you add.
  24. All OEM boots are resistor. Not all years recommend a non-resistor plug, only a few. I've read Yamaha did the non-res thing to try and thwart a potential CDI problem, don't know why but they didn't stick with it. Also, NGK no longer offer the B8 in a non-res configuration. So there's that.
