Cotton eyed Joe Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 i dont drive it, last time i did i got poped doing 130 on the 105 freeway, i bought it about 7 monthes ago, it only has 3000 miles on it. insurance is a joke on it. id rather have my trucks anyway. the wife wont drive it, it scares her. he heee. all i did to it was a breathless performance intake and new rims and tires. the thrill only lasted about 2 weeks with it. plus im not that big into the vettes. but i had to have it so if this guy comes through, i wont be sad to see it go, besides i still have a slantnose porsche i want to get back into fixing up later Evil. You don't know how bad I've wanted a vette. I've wanted one since my dad had a smooooove '77 vette that I helped him restore as much and as often as I could, being that I was 16. After owning my Chevelle, nothing even came close to fun to drive besides his car. We both sold our cars about the same time, and I've been driving trucks ever since. "Sports" cars and "muscle" cars these days consist of NOS stickers and like BigBoyBanshee said, fart cans or paint cans for mufflers. Every day I wish I had my Chevelle or my dads Vette back when I pull next to one of these cars that some kid has spent $10,000 on to make it look like a fuggin spaceship. My buddys parents bought an '03 vette this summer, and they won't let him bring it over into my hood so I can "look at it". hehehe.... If I want to look at it from 4 feet away I have to go over to their house. Quote

tats4life Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 If I want to look at it from 4 feet away I have to go over to their house. i feel your pain! a buddy i met at the drag strip just finished his twin turbo ZO6. The first time i passed him in it not know it was him there was a 12 ft shower of sparks behind my truck. i passed him running about 85 and drug the piss outta my truck. Needless to say he won't let me sit in let alone drive it. Mr. Giggles your 33 is just sick. The guys that help me build my truck own a rod shop, much respect. Quote

got1banshee Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 Here's my truck. 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with Cummins Turbo Diesel. Chipped, 4" exhaust, intake. 3 inch Tuff Country lift. 33x12.5 on Helo Maxx 8 rims. Pulls anything i want. After owning a diesel I wouldnt bother with any gas truck. I agree with that, I have a extedend cab F250 power stroke 4wd and i love the power. I pull a trailer every day and I wouldn't have a gas truck Quote
boonman Posted December 12, 2003 Report Posted December 12, 2003 That's why you don't run low profile tires on shitty roads. Either that, or slow your ass down and avoid the holes. I laugh when I see some rig with the blingin' 17's and 18's that the kid spent all his BK money on and the sides are all ripped up, beat to hell because people didn't learn how to drive. And the 20's on an SUV. Are you kidding me? Low profile tires on a big clumsy Expedition? Yep, boy oh boy, lemme ttell ya, you can rail corners in that beast. A real road course racing machine.......
