  1. 2hp on a ported shee, but will lose hp if you have stock porting....
  2. Sounds to me that one of the ground wires (black/ white striped) is disconnected. There is one by tthe gas tank coming from the handlebars, and one on the side of the air box going to the back. BTW, keep flaunting!!!
  3. You won't get much answers on this subject. Everyone has totally different views on this..some perfer the forged, others perfer the cast....vitos and wiesco are both made from wiesco and are forged....You decision is as good as anyone else's.....good luck.
  4. Yea, thats what all the companies I called about 4 years ago said. They won't warranty the aluminum for mx.....WTF, they make them stock!!!!
  5. Jetting...if the carbs leak all the time, then the floats are out of whack and need to be adjusted...
  6. Damn I love that dumb assness!!! Keep flaunting baby, keep flaunting!!!
  7. W/ stock porting, I'd guess around a 165-170 main, needle in the 4th clip from the top, 50 pilot or 48, try both....this is a guestimate, but should be close....
  8. Work it baby, work it!!! You might want to run a mix of race fuel. Shaving the stock head that much is a lot and might preignite on pump gas...If you don't ride in any mud, then get the clamp on filters (2)...Your jetting will be too lean w/ the small separate K&N's...Start w/ 330 mains, try different needle positions, adjust air screw, you might need a larger pilot (27.5). Can't get you any certain answers, everyone seems to come up w/ a totally different jetting when it comes to Toomeys..... You might want to get different reeds to add to your list...
  9. Go up a couple more sizes and do another wot run.....Guaranteed your running too lean now.....Its not that your jetting was too rich before as much as your motor just couldn't get enough air to run those pipes properly.....
  10. Yep, you have to rejet everytime you change the air flow...Probably just go up on the mains. Try a 250 and go from there.
  11. What are you dragracing the 1/4 mile!!!! Most quad drags are only 300' or 500'..
  12. They legalized slot machines in some counties, but the casino isn't coming in....I don't get it. They'll vote in slot machines w/ a 60% vote for horse tracks, clubs, etc.. But voted the casino out w/ a 65% margin..The casino is 80% slot machines!!!! Mainers can be sooo dumb.......
  13. What do you mean "not much difference"!!! Did you have stock pipes on there before??? Or another set of aftermarket pipes???? You should notice huge gains from stock pipes.....sounds to me between the jetting, etc.. that you already had aftermarket pipes on it....
  14. Well I didn't have time to weigh my swingarm, but if the stocker is 12lbs and I know the stock bearing carrier is 7lbs, then that makes the stock at 19lbs......so the Ti swingarm and bearing carrier is 10-11lbs lighter w/ the brake stay......that is awesome!!!!
  15. He was using the pro-x pistons....I dont' know where the head is. He might still have it. I sold him my stock head and he changed them so I don't know what he did w/ the shaved one. I'll call him tonight and find out, maybe he still has it. If he does, then I'll send it to you Boony...maybe you can make some sense of his mess...
  16. A compression test will tell you a lot. Definately check it out...A chipped reed petal could also make it run richer on one side. I've also seen old plugs do the same though. Put new plugs and they smoke evenly.....
  17. what kind of carbs??? what size?? which k&N (s)?? Did you get the twin filters or just the single in the air box?? If your still running the air box, then is the lid still on?? or modified??
  18. yes, larger carbs will make it sluggish, but so won't leaving the air box cover on....also if you already had larger main jets, then you might have larger pilots to... maybe they are too big....that'll make a big difference on the lower rpms and throttle response.....have you tried adjusting the air screws yet?? Adjust them to throttle response....also the size jets your running are about right for stock carbs and also means that your running mikunis....
  19. The rich jetting doesn't help and is there any fuel running on the ground from the overflows??
  20. Try 175 mains, 38-45 pilots....
  21. 1200!!! was that gold plated??? You can purchase a set of pistons and rings w/ gasket kit for $250 or less and bore both cylinders for around $125. So for $375 and about 4-8 hours of labor everything is new.......The new clutch is around $90-$165 depending on what kind of clutch you buy. Take about an hour to change one...
  22. That would be about right for jetting. I was thinking that you had the lid removed. You might want to think about cutting the end of the lid or keep it off if you have the K and N w/ the flange....You'll gain another four hp and better throttle response..You'll probably have to go up another two to three sizes on the mains...
  23. Could it be polished aluminum??? Aluminum will fade if you don't keep it polished though, will Ti?? Didn't mean to get you worried, but if you want just pay my plane ticket so I can go Duning and I'll break some arms and legs for you....
  24. What are the properties of ti?? Will a magnet stick to it?? That would suck if you didn't have one, but at least you'll know....There must be a way to tell the difference between the two.
