  3. Thanks for the insight, i'm thinkin about the +6. we do alot of hill shootin/idiot hills, and a fair amount of draggin at night. (definately more dunin' than draggin). I had a buddy that did the 4mil stroke, porting from trinity, shaved head, 32+- carbs, dyna,v-force and toomeyy t5's and ran with a +4. It was a good ride. +4 is still in the back of my mind. Whats the diffrence in stage four porting from trinity and a reasonably stock/unchainged cub cylinderin regaurds to horsepower output. thanks for the help...troyboy
  4. HEY GUYS, I'M HAVING A 4MIL STROKER WITH CUB CYLINDERS BUILT AT CASCADE INNOVATIONS RIGHT NOW. THIS IS MY FIRST MAJOR QUAD BUILD. I'VE BEEN RIDING DUNES AND TRAILS FOR YEARS AND CONSIDER MY SELF TO BE A GOOD RIDER. (i JUST SWITHCED FROM A 310'D ATC 250R THAT WAS STRECHED OUT W/ A +4"). I COMPLETELY TRUST CASCADE FOR THEIR OPINIONS, BUT WHEN THEY RECOMENDED A +8 SWINGER I THOUGHT THAT WAS A BIT MUCH. MIKE AT CASCADE REASSURED ME AND I AM INTENDING TO GO WITH THE +8, BUT I JUST THOUGHT I'D GET A FEW MORE OPINIONS. THIS MOTOR HAS ALL OF THE "FIXINS". LOCKOUT CLUTCH,DYNA,V-FORCE,COOLHEAD SET TO RUN 104 OCTANE,T5'S ETC. ETC. THE BIKE IS JUST A DUNE PLAYER. WHAT DO YA THINK?! THANKS...TROYBOY

  6. i AM LOOKING FOR A STOCK REAR SHOCK. i JUST SENT MY WHOLE SHEE OFF FOR A BUILD AT "CASCADE" . IT IS GETTING A +8 SWINGER AND I NEED A SHOCK TO SEND TO T.C.S. TO GET BUILT FOR THIS. (MY SHOCK IS ON MY BIKE, WHICH IS LOCKED IN CASCADE'S SHOP, AND THEY LEFT FOR THE NATIONAL DRAGS ON THE EAST COAST AND WON'T BE BACK TILL MID APRIL). THE SHOCK CAN BE BLOWN, AS LONG AS IT'S NOT BENT UP. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED! THANKS...TROYBOY

I always align my paddles. riding at coos, we like to have wheelie contests down the beacch and if your paddles are off it will pull left or right in a wheelie.as long as your front tires are down on the ground they provide enough traction to track straight. You would think that "bansh88" who has been riding in glamis for six years migtht realize this. To me it just seems like he is a dumb-ass that wants to talk down to someone, and now I've brought myself down to his level.SHAME ON ME!! Sorry about gettin on my soapbox, but slanderous people piss me off! troyboy
  8. THANKS FOR THE INFO, I JUST GOT DONE ON RONNIES.COM ORDERING 2 NEW INTAKE BOOTS FOR LESS THAN THE PRICE OF A COUPLE USED ONES ON EBAY. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANYTHING GOOD OR BAD TO SAY ABOUT THE BOOST BOTTLES. I STILL HAVE MY STOCK CROSS OVER TUBE AND I'M WILLING TO PUT IT BACK ON IF THE AFTERMARKET REALLY IS A LIABILITY AND A WASTE OF TIME. THANKS AGAIN, THIS SITE ROCKS!!!TROY
  9. I just got it back together and when i sprayed the right hand carb where the boost bottle goes, it bogged down. Upon further inspection I found a crack on each neck. I am currently with stock carbs and running the k&n dual clamp on filters with no air box. Can anyone tell me where to find replacement intake boots without going through my local dealer. thanks...Troyboy
  10. I JUST BECAME A MEMBER, BUT I'VE BEEN WATCHING THE POSTS ON THIS FOR A WHILE AND THERE APPEARS TO BE SOME PRETTY SMART PEOPLE ON THIS SIGHT. I HAVE A 98 SHEE WITH T-5'S, A BOOST BOTTLE, AND A COOL HEAD(NOT SURE WHICH DOMES CAUSE I JUST GOT THE BIKE). STOCK CARBS HAVE THE TOOMEY NEEDLE ON 4TH POS. I TOOK IT TO COOS BAY OREGON AND WENT OUT FOR A PLUG CHECK. RAN IT FOR A HALF HOUR NICE AND EASY ON A NEW PLUG TO BUILD SOME COLOR, THEN DID A TOP END SHOT AND BLEW THE PLUG WHITE. I GOT BACK TO CAMP AND PULLED THE CARBS ONLY TO FIND A PAPER TOWEL IN THE THE LEFT HAND REED CAGE(IT LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN THERE A WHILE.) I JUMPED TO A 320 MAIN AND IT WAS STILL BURNING WHITE. LONG STORY SHORT, I NOW HAVE A 430 MAIN JET IN THE STOCK CARBS OF A REASONABLY STOCK BIKE AND THE PLUG S BURN EVENLY AND A LIGHT CHOCLATE BROWN. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NO WAY I SHOULD BE ABOVE A 320 OR 330 MAIN. IT'S OBVIOUSLY A MAJOR AIR LEAK, BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE. IS THIS A NOTORIOUS PROBLEM OR AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS EVER HAD THIS HAPPEN. I'LL FED-EX A SIX PACK OF YER FAVORITES TO THE GUY THAT HELPS ME SOLVE THIS ONE... THANKS TROYBOY
