People like you are your friends - machinists and fabricators - can go there and get work. It could be the store front you are looking for. Albeit you might get a lot more odd jobs than just ATV bumpers and such. Something to consider. -bill

off topic: raptor 80 intake restrictor removal.
STLBILL replied to csrmel's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Hi Csrmel: Unless you are the Auto Technician asking the same question on The Power Sports Network you are not alone. However, the question remains to be answered. Yamaha definately suggests it is possible. I suppose you've looked in the owner's manual which is where I would expect the procedure to be. Have you asked your dealer for a service manual? I haven't been able to find them available online for anything newer than 2004s. I wonder if Yamaha makes you go through the dealer for so-called late model machines. Good luck! Oh yeah, it's okay to admit you ride an 80cc 4-stroke...  -Bill -

Suggest you search for "dyno" across all forums. That will give you a hint at what people are testing to. Here is a start: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...380&hl=dyno -Bill -

suggestions on digital cameras?
STLBILL replied to black sunshine's topic in General Banshee Discussion
It is like Dajogejr said. Choose video or still and stay with it for a while. I started in video back in the late 1980s when it was very expensive to do professional editing and that is why I switched to still a few years later. One thing to consider: Nobody hangs a DVD over the mantle and gazes at it. At least not unless it has a still picture imprinted on it. For weddings and events I provide a DVD slideshow in place of the traditional photo album of days past. -bill -
suggestions on digital cameras?
STLBILL replied to black sunshine's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Well, I'm definately no role model for what you want, but: I shoot weddings, sports action, outdoors/wildlife and many other events. I may finally start a studio over the Winter. Maybe one of these years I'll take BigRed up on his offer to go out there and do some more practice. I use Canon EOS pro digitals for their wide selection of lenses. Occasionally I'll rent a Leica or Hassey for specialty stuff. For me a body (no lens or toys) starts at $4,000 and goes to $7,000. Lenses range from $1,200 for a 24-70 L telephoto, macro or a nifty tilt-shift to $7,000 for a 600mm L IS prime. You do get what you pay for, but it's impossible to afford if you don't work it. I use a $500 Canon S70 when I want to travel light. It is a pro camera in a point-and-shoot form factor. For example it does camera raws, has focus (not flash) bracketing, and accepts memory cards above 2 GB. I was surprised to find my 8 GB cards work in the little bugger! Wireless remote control and a waterproof housing are pretty cheap add-ons. If I can be of any more help let me know. -bill -
So the adage that says only poor men blame their equipment is invalid when a Honda is involved? EDIT: Trying to remote all the white space at the bottom...

I thought PayPal was designed to avoid these situations? If you plan on collecting the debt that way don't leave a paper trail... -

Does anyone else get all turned on by this game? Me either. I was just asking!

Interesting that you chose 10 seconds: Motor Trend Indy Car Performance, June 1999 (scroll to bottom of page 8) Sorry, for the dated material. I'm disappointed in myself too. It's the best I could find right now. I'll keep looking... :-( -Bill

Does the aforementioned lock go on the front or rear?

If you can find out who did it this might be helpful.

It does not seem to be time-based and you cannot win level 3. The picture and sound appears when you approach the first left turn of the narrow final section. It took me 30 minutes to make a script that replicated mouse movements to figure this out. Replaying the script over and over making final adjustments in mouse position and how fast to move the mouse. Say what you want, but if that site monitors the game they're going to be wondering who the hell can solve the puzzle in .75 seconds 55 times in a row (the fastest I could get the script to run through all three levels). -Bill

In the old days that town was called Flat River. Most of the old timers around still call it that. I *think* someone tried to start a repair/service outlet in the staging area a while back, but the state would not let them. I *think* this may have been them. They are a little hard to find because Park Hills is on the other side of the highway. Maybe tell people how to get there? I cannot remember if it is easier to get there by going left across the railroad tracks and make an immediate right on 32 or do you go right, on the four-lane, exit before the overpass and go into town that way? -Bill

I was thinking the same thing for 2,3 and 7. I suspect #8 has some extra details missing in the final still photo. For example someone parked meant to back away from the curb to the right and was in drive instead of reverse. The Toyota on the gasoline pump bollard looking thing is amazing. Even if you were trying to do that I don't see how you could without some body damage. Of course half of these were probably photo-chopped.... :-(

I bet California liberal law makers are staying up late trying to craft legislation against this one. Wonder who his insurance company is?

It looks like hell on a Blackberry. Is there going to be a BansheeHQ.mobi come October? I don't know that Lee has a trademark of he could snag it now.

If the hard drive is some decent size you might try to salvage it. You can get one of those kits that converts it into a USB drive for not much money. If you cannot salage anything from it and ever did anything remotely private on it destroy that @#!$er. Go to great lengths. If you don't Murphy's Law takes over and someone will find some way to get your personal data off it. It is worth it to get your frustrations out and not have worries in the future... -Bill

Hi there: You may want to try the folks at PWCToday.com for help. SBT (www.sbtontheweb.com) is a company in Florida famous for refurshing two-stroke PWC engines. SBT bought PWCToday sometime last last year. I'm sure you can get free help there. If nothing else send the engine back to those guys and they are supposed to do wonders - for a price. I've seen pics and videos of what some people do to their machines... :-) Yes, I realize you are trying to do it on the cheap, but this is all I can do to help... :-) Good Luck! -Bill 2003 Honda Aquatrax F-12X

Are you talking about the Land Between the Lakes (LBL) near Paducah, Kentucky or about 90 miles North of Nashville along I-24?: Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area - Turkey Bay OHV Area I take the waverunner down there and play once in a while. Locals around here call it "Kentucky Lake" even though there are technically two lakes and more. It is a pretty unique place because of the way it originated, but the closest point of LBL is at least 50 miles from Missouri... :-) --- EDIT BELOW THIS LINE --- If you are going to go that far from Michigan you went right past Little Egypt in Southern Illinois: Little Egypt Off Road

Hi all: Some of you guys spend hours polishing your 'Shees because you've spent hours installing mods and tuning them for pure straight-light performance. That is understandable and they look awesome! However, I see no problem with getting dirty once in a while. The high power and low weight make it pretty good for moist trails. Sometimes opening her up across a muddy patch of trail is the only way to blow the smoke out. I wouldn't "bog" with a Banshee though and definately not with a fresh engine. You need air moving across the radiator. While there are as many ways to break-in an engine as there are riders I don't think anyone seriously suggests running near wide open throttle with little to no air movement and cool water splashing all about.

Welcome Duke: So that's what a stock 'Shee looks like? I forgot what they looked like with stock pipes and fenders. Banshees are almost to the point where being factory stock makes you custom... :-) I had an '03 just like that. I traded her in '04 after my accident (amazingly - just a dented bumper). I ran into the guy who bought her afterward. He did all the stuff everyone else does to them. She is a full-bore drag quad now. As for packing a camera - a couple Ziplock bags do wonders. Just ask anyone with a waverunner. The expensive cameras just give you creative options. Rarely do you have enough time to exhibit creative photog talent while riding anyway. That stuff takes too much time and detracts from the riding experiece. You can get dust and water-resistent covers (e.g. Aquatech) and waterproof cases for many cameras. They start at about $200. -Bill
