  1. Nice pics, but people are expecting this in the images section on here.
  2. Damn! I was so going to give you $!@# you for listing this FIRST on your performance parts list... My sources tell me the lowest point in Illinois is on the Mississippi River and it is 279 feet ABOVE sea level. You riding in an old coal mine or something?
  3. You seem to be surprised it has independent front suspension. Why is this? I recall a friend buying a new 1985 Yamaha sled when I was a kid. It had independent front suspension. I recall the older one it replaced having a much different steering design, but I am not sure if it had indepedent front suspension or not. I know the older one tipped much easier. In shallow snow where you cannot "bank" independent suspension would help with this. Maybe the 1980s ushered in new front suspension technology for sleds? There are some books on snowmobile history, but nothing I could find for free online.
  4. There was a thread here in the last couple weeks talking about the changes to the 'Shee since it's birth in 1987. Nobody could come up with much differences in about 20 years of product. Considering Yamaha put about 2 hours of R&D into the Banshee since 1987, I doubt they are going to put any more into it now.
  5. I have a plow on the front, a hitch on the back and sometimes pull a wagon. The air resistance of the plow slows me down at the sand drags and the trailer is a little heavy on the triples at the mx track, but I'm getting better.
  6. Uh, Brad Paisley Mud on the tires? Knew that without looking. You might try something without words like New Age music. That would stump me...
  7. George Strait - I Get Carried Away http://www.cowboylyrics.com/tabs/strait-ge...-away-1703.html
  8. Marty Robbins - El Paso http://www.cowboylyrics.com/lyrics/robbins...paso-11889.html
  9. No way the lights are real, but still cool photos. And that isn't a sand storm headed out to sea over Africa. It's the roost of someone on a Banshee riding the dunes of the Sahara...
  10. Well, CNN won't televise it because it would upset the terrorists. It definately should be televised. If you think of it like Pay-Per-View (PPV) I pre-paid a lot of tax money for this event.
  11. That is just unbelievable! More horsepower than most sports cars! I mean I see it, but I don't believe it. There are so many ways to get hurt on that thing...
  12. Define cool. I think mine is the coolest. In fact only cool people can see it!
  13. Red you missed your calling as a head hunter...
  14. Bless you for trying to take a big rig through there! I know the area, but not the exact route. Even people who live here get confused coming from Illinois in all that mess. Going East is slightly easier for me. There are 4 Interstates (44,55,64,70) going across one bridge there so a lot is just volume and confused people. Although technically I-44 ends on the Missouri side it still dumps people out there. If you make that I-55 run from St. Genevieve you are pretty close to Saint Joe State Park which is a great Banshee riding spot. If you took 32 West of St. Gen you'd come right past the park. Might be a problem on 32 if you were heavy though. Best route would be to stay on 32 when it becomes W and then take B Hwy North through the park. Anyway... I'm quite sure you couldn't get a big rig into the riding area. Might be fun though. Put a flag on it and have fun! EDIT: Get rid of white space at bottom of message... How so?
  15. I agree. There was one scene I paused caused it looked like Inge was going to bawl. It right after he made the perfect snag, but threw it wide to first. They tried so hard. I really did feel for them. It is funny how many people are acting like Cubs fans now... Sore losers
  16. It could be worse. You could be stuck downtown tonight... Are you talking about the PSB err... that's St. Louis speak for Poplar Street Bridge - the interstate bridge over the Mississippi - construction or just a rough and bumpy section? I don't get down there much. I think the entire interstate system is in terrible condition the nation over. They cannot seem to fix it fast enough. I know places where asphalt becomes rutted a few weeks after they finish. Concrete doesn't do that, but it is more expensive, invasive and time consuming to use. The thing I've noticed about Saint Louis is they work on a road and all the feasable detours at the same damn time! They had been resurfacing I-270 on the North side of the metro area this Summer too... Sorry you had a bad experience here... EDIT: Break-up first paragraph.
  17. End of thread. Man this place isn't going to be safe for a while. Gunshots and/or fireworks outside. I hope fireworks...
  18. Well it sounds like we agree on something... I really think this message thread is about to die here in the hour of less. I just hope we don't tear apart the town. There is supposed to be some huge parade planned downtown tomorrow.
  19. I guess I just feel like I'm saying, "Come over!" and we all know these days if you tell an American to do anything they'll resist at all costs. In the old days it was a courtesy. Now I think some feel they don't need any help. I usually do it if the truck driver: Has someone on his rear bumper and needs to get over soon. Otherwise, he can keep passing and get over when it is clearly safe. Puts their blinker on "early". As if saying, "Let me know when I am clear". Pauses slightly - stops passing and doesn't come over yet. As if he's looking in his mirrors.
  20. I don't know much about Detroit, but I assume you're talking about the "motor city" aspect. Saint Louis has lost a Ford Explorer shop here recently. Chrysler plant is always on the edge of that too. Only good thing about losing the Ford plant is now Bigfoot 4x4 (the original Monster truck) is not right next to the Ford factory. Many Chevy fans made jokes about that over the years. It used to be a stop-over in the middle of the country. Now many airplanes fly right over St. Louis so airport is going to hell. Big companies are following the lack of a good airport... Based on this logic we should be playing China, Japan or Mexico. This country is sorely hurting all over because of the jobs that went there. EDIT: Change went to still going and politicians don't care to stop it.
  21. I'd like to know if the old "flash your lights" when a truck wants back over in the slow lane is still useful? Either the new trucks can't flash the trailer lights to say thanks or a lot of drivers are insulted by this. Maybe we just have rude big rigs around here...
  22. Alright. I was reading back through this thread and I am starting to cry for the poor Tigers. All the people who were all excited when they beat the A's have abandoned them now. Only Dajogejr is loyal to the end. What a shame.
  23. I don't remember what happened. I was playing on here at the same time and must have missed it. I have to get up to early in the morning. These games are killing me at work... :-( I have to hand it to you Dajogejr... you're taking this too well. If the Tigers win I am not sure I can handle what I'm dishing out... As for the other Detroit fans who posted and ran...
  24. Anyone know how to change the topic of the message thread? You just gotta love those World Series shutouts... EDIT: Forgot to add the next 2 games are in St. Louis. That would be the two St. Louis needs to win the series...
  25. Exactly. See my previous post about them being entertainers. I didn't watch the ALCS, but it doesn't sound like it was very entertaining compared to the NLCS this year.
