Hey NYUK - what do you do with all the 'Shees you buy? Seems like someone could load up enough East Coast 'Shees and haul them out West for a good profit. Is that what you do?
-
Wherever will they put their logos on the new clothing?
-
Okay, so he went down the back side of the hill/dune the Banshee is sitting on. I'll buy that, but I want to know if he took the time to plan the shot without foot prints or just got lucky. It really is a neat shot! Now let's do one without tire tracks...

I must have went to the wrong career day. Tell us what credentials must one posess to secure a job in your profession? I want your job! EDIT: I don't want to here any lame cover excuses such as "I was on break" and especially not "I was in the bathroom"...

Boats pull A LOT different. Just look in your the owner's manual for your vehicle. Chances are it will have a higher tow rating for boats. Mine small SUV is a full 33% more. I don't think you are supposed to move the axles on utility trailers. Boat trailers have a "slide axle" or "slide bunks" built-in for this purpose. Utilities do not. Is this a homemade model or something you picked up from a dealer? It sounds too small to be the enclosed Haulmark models I see a lot at riding area and races. Maybe just keep it to about 70 when towing...

What?!? I thought the Superbowl was something they are building at Glamis this year.

There is an info'mercial from Evinrude running late at night lately. I am not sold on it mostly because it is a paid advertisement by Evinrude made to look like an independent test. I do not doublt it produces more power. Two strokes have more power strokes. I do doubt it runs cleaner. They only measure CO levels. Not particulate matter. I really doubt the fuel economy is better than a Honda. They don't compare the E-TEC to the Honda V-TEC engine they stole their name from!

Huh? It is still the first week of the month. I just paid on Wednesday...

Damn I'm old and/or law abiding - you decide. I thought Mary Jane had her last dance in that Tom Petty video?
-
If that's all... Do as Brooke says and never buy a boat. Have you never wondered what people with modest-sized suburban garages in upscale subdivisions that do not allow boats in driveways do with their oversized toys in the off-season? Now you know. EDIT: ... and then go flip some burgers while going back to school so you can afford to, but never buy a boat someday.

Are you suggesting Gawd rides a four-stroke?
-
I do not know where here/there is. Are you sure there is no place to ride there? If not it sounds like she is forcing you to decide between the bikes and her. I guess she doesn't read bumper stickers or listen to country music or she'd know what dangerous ground she is on. Only you (and her) can make this choice...

Here is Mike building his version of the Internet map...
-
<Taps screen> Hello? Is this thing on? I think I posted the answer before you wrote the question.

Why is it always the white cars? Anyone remember O.J.? Glad to see it end the way it should - with the innocent walking away. It looks like he forced the driver to change lanes several times without signaling. I'm pretty sure that warrants the death penalty in Texas...

After breaking my back in four places getting stupid on a 'Shee I am officially in the "Old and Slow" category and would opt for a pokey golf-cart 4x4 model. However, I choose the Honda 450R from the list above, the Raptor second and will still yield the entire trail to any fool crazy enough to straddle a 'Shee.
-
Yes, he did it all by himself. Everyone knows his home state of Tennessee is famous for such high-tech cutting-edge innovations. I just wonder if Mike would find it more attractive if someone else invented it?

I completely understand. You cannot trust those damn phones! I once had cell service so bad... a friend wanted me to pick up a quart of 2-stroke oil and some things. I heard him say he wanted a cord of 2-ton coil springs. You should see him land jumps now! Sometimes you do not have to state how much experience you have looking up parts. You just have to say "microfiche" and everyone knows. I'm willing to bet many of the early 20 somethings on here do not even know what that is (nor care). Suzuki was the four-wheel leader way back until Honda introduced the first 4x4 model. I think the first TRX250R hit the dealerships in the fall of 1985, right? It was branded a 1986. ... Then in 1987 Yamaha released the first 'Shee and nothing else mattered...

Oh, this... is where we everyone is meeting to ride this weekend. It is a map of the Internet. Notice the domain names pointed out. BansheeHQ would be one little dot in there someplace. All this stuff links together. That is what www stands for - world wide web. The idea is that this thread gets you lost in that fine piece of art you don't like very well... :
-
Yes, we need more of these Lee. Keep the 'ol Banshee noggins working... or not. I knew it had to end or loop someplace, but I was beginning to worry it might be a weekend project to find out where. Now I am wondering what the record is for the deepest information link on the Internet? It could be worse. Consider the image below. The B'HQ is just one little dot on the Internet map!

Almost a good lawyer joke too, 'cept I had a professor who made us do some tough research in school... ( At the time of this writing the 35th level links back to the 19th level. ) EDIT: Forgot to add the webmaster at the 24th level is wondering where all the hits are coming from...

I know a bunch of you guys are running Avgas. Anyone ever looked into the numbers on gasoline? They say regular pump gas is based around a molecule called octane. Avgas is however based on the fuel's performance. They add lead to make stand up to higher compression engines, but nothing else for performance. I was surprised to read this. I found something that says avgas is usually expressed as two numbers lean mixture performance and rich mixture performance such as 100/130. So is Avgas really just modern pump gas with lead additives? I say modern day because old fashioned leaded gasoline was much lower octane. The lead additive brought it up to 85+ octane. These days they cannot use lead so the gasoline itself must be 85+. Adding lead then takes it up into the 100s.

I am pretty sure you have to be a 92 Octane (or higher) member. It doesn't work for me. However, I won the put down contest!

I also agree with what Joe said. The bill does fault the parents and restore a sense - however small it is a start - of personal responsibiity in America. The alternative would be a bill paving the way for parents to sue ATV manufacturers when their children get hurt.
-
Hi all: A couple of things: 1. The bill starts off with something I strongly agree with - kids (teenagers) need to wear helmets when riding. When you are an adult you can decide to wear one or not - that's a whole other debate I don't want to get into right now. 2. This bill will end sales of small ATVs in Oklahoma dealerships. It doesn't prevent you from getting one elsewhere. 3. How will this be enforced? Kids 12 and under cannot obtain drivers licenses so it is on the honor system. That never works. "Yes, officer he is small for his age" will become popular in Oklahoma. This bill does not earmark any state funding for state identification cards. If it does, kill the funding and you've castrated this bill. 4. The United States Supreme Court says you have to provide identification when an officer demands it. Whether you have to provide identification for your child when an officer is about to arrest you remains to be seen (and again we go back to the budget thing - is the state going to fund ID cards for every kid in Oklahoma?). 5. Because this bill will impact ATV selection at Oklahoma dealerships buy your kid a bigger one. Their definition of ATV in this bill is very specific. For example, your 5-year old and his friend could ride a 660cc Yamaha Rhino all day long... because you don't straddle the seat. This bill is giving parents that option which indirectly will injure more kids than it helps. Note to #5: Someone is bound to say, "Parents are not going to put there kids on something that will injure them." To this I say, "No $hit Sherlock. Now get rid of this stupid bill." 6. Vote Senator Cane out of office. That sends a pretty clear message. -Bill
