What Size Paddles Should I Get?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to b_a_n_s_h_e_e's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I've ridden banshee's set up exaclty like mine with 10 paddle 21" Haulers. They go in a straight line real well, but they are a complete bitch to turn. I plan on running 9 paddle 21" Extremes. If I need more bite, I can always air down the rear tires a little. -
LOL Thanks man!!! If I can make it to Dumont we'll all have climb a dune to watch the sunset together. j/k I hope to make it out there and have some fun NOT IN FRONT of a key board.

EEESHH!! Around here, those 2 stores charge a little** more than everyone else for electronics. I hope CC is better in TN than it is here. **a whole lot

Blaster pistons from what I know, are usually ran with long rod applications. The wrist pin is higher than a stock banshee wrist pin, which keeps the piston in about the same place in the bore that it was before, execpt you get the longer connecting rod to ease the side pressure on the skirt of the piston.

OH BUT THEY COULD!!! Well, I guess I should have specified man-eating rather than just out right kill anything they touch...hehehehehehe Yeah, I've seen that Fosters BEEEAH! commercial where she smashes that keg of a beer can on her head, and they guy says....KAYPAH!! I bet that was real, first take.

Moral of the story?? I'm sure EVERYTHING in Austrailia is man eating. I bet one of those Koala bears could take me out. Spiders the size of small cars, man eating crocodiles, really hot women, sharks, jelly fish.....no wait....the really hot women wouldn't kill me....

Jetting Changes For Racegas?
Cotton eyed Joe replied to jstaguy24's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
The time I ran race gas and pump gas for a weekend, I noticed nothing on the plugs, or in performance really. I wasn't set up to use race gas anyway, but I wanted to see if it would in fact make a difference with my application. I don't think you would need to change your jetting unless you change the domes in your head (If you have an interchangable head design) or if you do some engine work like porting, or change to a different air filter, etc. -
LOL well that work bench gets used often enough.

Would Changing Gear Sizes On My Shee Help
Cotton eyed Joe replied to sandbanshee1818's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I think she is just going to screw that throttle stop in a few turns. Maybe put it in first gear and take the shift lever off. My mommy says I'm special. I believe her too. -
/me plugs ears, shuts eyes. SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP j/k I so badly need a decent workbench. I've actually got 3 or 4, but there are other projects going on at the same time all laying around here and there. I need a decent stainless bench that I can put Banshee only stuff on. It would have to be big though. Booon, what would you recommend for a bench top?? I can build the frame out of wood easily, if I know what size of stainless (guage or thickness) would work out well. I'm thinking 1/8 would suffice for my smaller projects. then make it about 2.5-3.0 feet by about 6-8 feet long.

I Need Help With My Website!
Cotton eyed Joe replied to Holyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Honestly Lee has done a great job on my site. Hit him up about some web design. -
Original purchase price in 1998 was $6100.00. I put about $300 in engine work, $400 in pipes, then my first powder coat was $350.00 plastic was another $250. Wrecked it, and got $3,000 for my troubles. Used frame was $600. New front tires and handle bars were $260. Stock a arms off of eBay $100. $380 in chrome so far. I spent about $500 in shit to polish aluminum, I also use it for my business, so I don't know if you can count that. I have billet parts that I made, don't have the total on them. My swing arm is worth around $480 right now before chrome. I'm sure I'll spend another $250 or so in chrome, and another $300 in new rear rims and paddles. I just got some braided steel brake lines in too. I've kind of lost track with all the other shit I've been doing. Mostly I just want the damn thing back together and running so I can feed Deuce some sand March 4th.

Would Changing Gear Sizes On My Shee Help
Cotton eyed Joe replied to sandbanshee1818's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I got a 44 aluminum, but I had to take the plastic block out of the skid plate. To go bigger like a 45 you have to take the plate off altogether. -
Sounds like you had fun though. There are some dunes here that once you "commit" which is basically going up 3 feet, if you get stuck its too steep to turn around safely. You either have to try to spin your way up the hill, or tea bag the bars, lock the front brakes, and feather the rear until you are more towards the base. I've been going at least 20mph down those very dunes with all 4 wheels locked, forward of course, but it still took a tractor to yank the seat out of the crack of my ass.

You could just drop it down where your carb overflows are and then cut the excess, but make sure it isn't kinked, and if it hangs about 2 inches below your frame, it won't get anything on the frame either. Some others on here know about relocation and removal all together of the over flow tank. Oh and I painted my Toomeys a couple years ago, I just finished sandblasting the shit off a few days ago.

LIke Reas says, IF they guy knows what he's doing. I had a local company here do mine, and all 4 exploded. I had to put the ball back in, and weld a new race on the back. They were never the same again.

I've learned (just as you have) that some people SHOULD NOT BE LISTENED TO!!! I do all the wrenching on my banshee. I never have anyone help me. I will ask for advice, or ask a question, but no one touches anything while I'm working on something unless I ask them to. Its alot easier that way. Good luck on getting it back together.

Actually you got a deal. Those fuckers at Layton Cycle (don't know if thats where you went) hit me a little more than that 3 years ago. Its because Yamaha is the ONLY place you can get pilots for stock banshee mikuni carbs. Any other type of mikuni the pilots are about $2.00 each.

I have found my states DMV page before, but I've lost it. It had some good information, although it didn't answer all my questions. I found that I had to register my trailer if it weighed over 700lbs dry. I had to have 1" of tire width for every 4-5 hundred pounds and trailer brakes at whatever they say I have to have them at. Its always a good idea to search out your states DMV page to find what regulations are required.

I built my own. I sold it for a measly $500 last year though. It was built to haul 3 quads, so it wasn't super heavy duty. It had 3" square .250 wall tube the entire length (14') for a back bone, and the deck frame was heavy wall 2" (about .125 or so) square welded onto that, then the 2 foot tall sides were made from light wall 2" square. It weighed about 350 lbs or so from what I could tell (I guessed by grabbing on and trap shrugging it) I had a 3500# axle underneath and some pizza cutter tires. I also made the tounge about 4 feet long. Made it back up so easy. My next one is going to be bought. I need an enclosed car hauler with a beaver tail etc etc
