  1. check the general disc forum to see if they are all hype!!
  2. well boys and girls here it is. CPI vs rockets. went to the dyno today to see the difference and it came out like i thought it would. there were about 20 guys there and they were VERY surprised, and disappointed. i even had a guy call my rockets "fugly". so after he saw this i rubbed it in that my "fugly" pipes make more fuckin power than his did...rocket made more hp and torque than the cpis. see for yourself. oh yea, it dynoed at 77.3 hp with the rockets and 74.2 with the cpis. cant remember exactly the difference on torque, i think it was right around 3 lbs. i also put the cr500 banshee on the dyno but for some reaosn it wouldnt read the rpm's right. once it got to 3800 rpm it wouldnt read anymore. the guy running the dyno said he never had that problem before and that hed get it fixed so i could bring it back and run it agian. at 3800 rpm when the dyno quit reading it was making 60 hp. i figure it revs out somewhre around 8000 rpm or so. i figure that thing is making some pretty good hp.
  3. you have a picture of it? what kinda parts are you needing? anything in particular?
  4. thats a direct fuckin challenge. there is no way that he can out-huck me.
  5. what it says there. or where are some cheap places to get this shit. 130 bucks for a brake lever is crazy..
  6. yea BenBB's calendar suits me fine. no need to praise one quad per month because everytime someone posts up a badass quad we all get to see it anyway. besides, it would more than likely come down to a popularity contest. i think thats what most of that shit is about anyway. and we all know that id win every month cuz everyone loves me the most...
  7. i wouldnt go anything longer than +2 for the trails. i used to run +2 in the trails but id prolly just run stock length now. i dont have problems keeping the front end down and i ran alot of hillclimbs last year with stock length swinger on. the longer you are ther harder its gonna be for you to turn, expecially if its tight turns. for mx type shit shorter would be much better..for hillclimbing its nice to be extended some so that you can keep your front end down easier.
  8. i would go for t5s myself. stay away from t6s unless you plan on staying stock forever. i have rockets and they are more of a mid to top end pipe. you will lose some in the midrange with rockets versus t5s. we tried it with my bros bike and it def lost. i think the bottom was a little stronger tho. dont know much about the fmf, i have never run them. i kinda always thought that toomey made good pipes that worked well with just about anything so thats the route ive always gone.
  9. im still waiting for his smartass reply...
  10. i can see how you might doubt the process but in fact the most accurate way to get these things straight is through the use of a jig. you can pull measurements many times on a bike and if one thing isnt quite straight it will be off. i have done 2 of these conversions now and im telling you that mine pulled straight off the line. ive got full confidence that even with the swinger off the bike i can still make the carrier straight, even if i dont make a jig for it...
  11. i dont remember your wife giving you permission to speak!!!
  12. shit bitch, thats weak. my granny did that last week.
  13. exactly. i dont ever weld anything up until i know its perfectly straight. its always a good idea to measure from a few different spots a few different times to ensure its good and straight. a jig is still gonna be the best way to go tho...
  14. sweet man. you are gonna love it. i would recommend either itp holeshot hds or the new maxxis i razrs for dirt. they hook unreal. kinda heavy but not noticeable in the trails.
  15. word. race him on the road. itll prolly be different. they hook too good in the dirt to be racing them there. banshees spin pretty bad on dirt, at least mine do..
  16. i should have but didnt fuck with it due to the swinger still being on the quad when i did the conversion. im doing one for "itsmyforte" and im gonna make his look cleaner. bansheekid, i never used a jig. i tack one side of the carrier tube, then slide everything in and adjust from there. pull a few measurements and im done. however this one ill be doing here pretty quick wont be on the bike. i think im gonna build a jog off of it. its really not that hard to get them straight. measuring carefully can do the trick. mine always pulled straight off the line and never threw a chain so i assume they were pretty straight.
  17. im the opposite of sredish. i go out riding everyday to prove to everyone how bad i am. i wanna prove im the toughest motherfucker out there. i do the biggest jumps and the hardest ones cuz i want my name out there and want people to know im great. i want little kids to look up to me. sredish is just weak and knows he cant do a double backflip like me, so he says hes not out there to prove anything. remember, losers say they tried their best, winners go home and fuck a milf..follow me? furthermore here in a few weeks ill be hucking a double backflip into my frozen over pond. im not exactly sure whats gonna happen but i have faith that the ice will give before the quad crushes me...ill let you guys know how it turns out. hopefully ill go head and get my own video and shit like them other wack ass freestyle dudes.
  18. no i dont think so. ive never actually measured it up but the carrier is in almost the exact same place as the stock carrier. i dont think you gain an inch out of it, but i could be wrong.
  19. look down the page about 5 posts.
