ive got a 2001 dodge ram diesel and i like it alot. its an auto, gets pretty decent mileage even tho its chipped, exhaust and intake. it pulls my 20 foot enclosed no problem. ive had it coming up on 2 years now and have yet to have had a problem with it. it also just turned over 100,000 miles. i drove a ford one time and didnt like it. id say just go drive them all. auto and 6 speed and see which you like the best.

id go with a boss intake. they look good and they eliminate the crossover deal. you arent gonna notice any gain or loss from not having it there. i would hit up "passionre" here to get an intake. they run about 150 bucks if im not mistaken.

as far as i know those wont fit stock intakes. if they are like the 33 and 35's they wont. at least i dont think they do, thats why i bought that boss intake right? my bro and me have 33s and 35s and hes at 165 main and me at 160. youll prolly end up down in the 160s but like banchetta said its good to start high and work down instead of blowing something up. as for the pilots 42-45 should be fine. thats what we run too. i think the 33 and 35mm carbs run very close jetting wise so maybe the 30s will too. we are also at 1000 ft. let us know how it works out.

yamaha bolts and worthless. they strip and break so easily. i dont have a bolt kit but sometimes ill go to westlakes and buy a few bolts here and there. they are cheap. plus i only buy the ones youll see. if u cant see it, i dont care too much about it.

i got some tech 6 for x mas. rode in them sunday and they are sweet as hell. just need to break them in a little. i dont think u can go wrong with any of the tech boots.

thats cool and all but i thnk id stick to my thumb throttle. twist would feel weird on a quad.
