  1. Who told you to get rid of a "cool head?"
  2. I'm not sure where you're located but in most places $3500-$4000 will buy a nice bike with a built motor and other aftermarket parts. I guess if you're dead set on a brand new one that's not a bad deal, but I'd look around and see what's available used.
  3. Welcome to BansheeHQ! It's really hard to say what the motor could be. I may be what he says, then again, it may not be. The best way to know for sure is to tear it down. CT probably means CT Racing. They're not really known for their Banshee performance stuff. If you need any parts, be sure to check out BansheeHQ's sponsors. They have everything you could ever need.
  4. Dumbshit is my new favorite poster.

  5. You can throw the coolant rezzie in the trash. As long as your coolant system is up to spec and the bike is jetted properly, you will not need that rezzie. What kind of riding do you do that you're keeping the air box? What kind of filter system are you planning to run? As far as mounting the electrical stuff, I would keep the CDI away from the coil just to avoid any possible interference.. Here is where I mounted my electrical stuff.
  6. In your opinion huh? So you have tested them side by side? Doubt it. Have you even seen a set of these pegs in person? I have. I guarantee you that the grip on Richie's pegs is much better than the IMS. I currently run IMS and they're nowhere near as sharp as Richie's.. That said, Richie will do custom work at additional cost. Just shoot him a PM and get some details worked out with him.
  7. I hit my magic delete button.
  8. I don't blame him for wanting to make money.
  9. Richie had these at the BansheeHQ Play Day.. The pegs are sharp as shit. They're definitely sharper than my Roll pegs. These pegs look sweet in person. Welding look bad ass too. And with the addition of the third row, there is no way you can go wrong.
  10. Yep, he already sent me a PM.
  11. Probably going to be a lot cheaper and easier to replace all the gears and the shaft. Taking those things apart takes a ton of time. I doubt you will be able to get the rod and ball out of the one you have now. Just snag another transmission and swap the whole thing.
  12. Don't be silly. The government will take care of you if you decide you don't want to work anymore. Just doing my job and promoting my sponsors!
  13. You own a Banshee.. How can you be a penny pincher?!
  14. Why on earth would I wanna put Raptor pegs on my Banshee?
  15. I bought one on eGay for my new bike for less than $40. It was brand new.
  16. You mean the pegs you can't even get now?
  17. When will people learn? Trying to save $10 and now you don't have shit! Richie Petty and JD both offer pegs at great prices. Mild steel, aluminum and stainless. What more can you ask for?
  18. Stock (14/41) is a pretty good all around ratio. If you want a little more top speed, you can fine tune by dropping the rear sprocket down a tooth or two.. Here are some things to remember.. 1. 1 tooth up front = 3 teeth in the rear 2. Going up in the front gives you a higher top speed. 3. Going down in the front will lower your top speed. 4. Going up in the rear gives you a lower top speed. 5. Going down in the rear gives you a high top speed. Make big changes with the front and fine tune with the rear.
  19. Putting the motor in it should lower it down quit a bit. Then, you will be sitting on it. I wouldn't do anything until the motor is in it.
  20. This is what you want... http://farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=174
  21. It's very possible that the guy didn't know shit. The Banshee motor is a very simple one. First thing you should do is buy a Clymer manual. It will show you step by step how to do pretty much everything you need to do to your bike. For everything else, there's BansheeHQ. You need to pull the clutch cover and inspect the clutch components. Here is a pretty simple order of things to do. 1. Drain the tranny oil and coolant. 2. Remove the brake lever, foot peg and kick starter. 3. Remove the clutch cover bolts. 4. Remove clutch cover. Now you're in.. The clutch components will need to be inspected for wear. The pressure plate, inner hub and basket should all be checked. Depending on how old the motor is, it may be time for all new parts.
  22. Welcome to BansheeHQ! That's one of my favorite stock color schemes. They look really clean with cut fenders and some chrome.
  23. Don't be getting all sappy and shit...I mean that with the least amount of feelings possible.
