  1. I just taped off a pattern with some electrical tape & followed it with a fine blade on a jigsaw. Just go slow & take your time. Worked like a champ. Some use razor blades, some use hacksaw blades, plastic cutters, whatever you prefer...the jigsaw gig worked out the best for me.
  2. Dunno man, keep your eyes open. I just got a barely used WB full exhaust w/E-series silencer, jets & all for $200. "In Transit" by the Ups dude to my house now according to the tracking site.
  3. Same thing with my -2. + shee handles MUCH better in mid-air flight. Don't have pics of how-to, mine's an aftermarket -2 arm w/roundhouse carrier - Burgard. Here's some pics,...side & rear.
  4. There are kits, shoot an Email to [email protected] and ask him all the questions you may have. My sister runs a V6 corvair in her buggy, and so does my bro-in-law's brother. They have the cams & gears reversed I believe so it will bolt up to a bus tranny, my sister's currently running a swing axle in hers. BuGgY Specs: Fugitive Frame, 140 Horsepower CORVAIR Engine, REVERSE ROTATION 30 Series Cam and Gears, Holley 500 Carb, 091 BUS Tranny, Disc Brakes, Neal Peddles, Neal Dual Handle Turning Brakes, 16.50 Sand Tires Unlimited Paddle Tires, Ceramic JET HOT Coated Headers. 5. My roomate is selling his gecko's & getting the Turbo paddles for his EX. I let him try my paddles last time we were down when my stator was crapped out & he was sold after his 1st ride on them. The gecko's are a heavier tire. But for general duning they'll get you around just fine. As far as the difference between the strait paddles on the turbos compared to others, just some of the things that come to mind is they're a bit wider than my previous 9pdl haulers, couldn't tell a weight difference, they look as if they're constructed stronger than the haulers, are not 'buffed' like the skats were, and they were a little over $100 cheaper. The price is the main reason I went with them, and after Jim talked with me about them for a few. He said that down there they are one of his best sellers. The sand stars look sweet though, wouldn't mind trying some myself sometime. My g/f's little brother runs them on his stock blaster & he loves the chit out of them. At Jims I believe they were around $186 for the sandstars...somewhere around there.
  6. Couldn't agree with ya more! Again, thanks for correcting me.
  7. I 2nd that! Don't forget your painkillers either!
  8. 64hrs. Damn, that's a road-trip! Sounded like a blast though; wish I could have made it.
  9. Check out this link, give Tod a call or shoot him an email. He's a great guy, he built the 1968VW stroker motor I have in my sandrail. He does all kinds of shit with them, anything you need or can imagine. Tell him Brandon King told ya to call him if ya'd like. Hell, I built his site & so owes me one anyway! http://www.johnsonsbuggies.com
  10. Change of Plans. Will be down later on the 18th, staying until the 21st. Will be with my roomate(zephead400ex),...singlecab red dakota 'sport', little blue trailer, my shee & 2 yellow EX's with WB exhausts. Leaving the buggy at home this trip. I'll try & get a pic before we go. Ride on!
  11. I don't know man, I've never seen them anywhere else...have looked everywhere. Surely someone does. You could always call down & talk with Jim & see where he gets them... Take that back...I just did a search on google & found several results... They actually have a site now: http://www.kingstire.com/KT-177.htm (have fronts to match also!) other retailer... http://www.atv-tires-superstore.com/dune-atv-tires.html
  12. All in the name. I think they overprice all their stuff, except maybe their filters.
  13. You could do like I did,...get you some EX hubs & put them on your shee! I now run a honda pattern on the rear. Fronts won't match up though.
  14. Look pretty slick & sound like a pretty good deal, don't know that I'd get one for mine though....probably wouldn't compliment my PC pipes too well!
  15. If it weren't for computers I wouldn't have a job. Nor would WE have the HQ! Now just what would we do withouth the HQ? It's still ok to hate them though, I have a love/hate relationship with them. Just imagine spending your day talking over the phone telling people what to do & how to fix their crashed computers, heck, I just got off a 2hr phonecall helping an 80yr old half-def lady run her recovery cd. I need a beer.
  16. The paddles you have probably came on offset wheels. They're supposed to be wider, in most cases anyhow.
  17. Dunno, didn't know they were making seat covers.
  18. I got a 3 letter abbreviation to solve your whole problem... BFH
  19. Interesting. I've pondered that before myself...using shee a-arms & shocks up front, and attaching the frame of the banshee with motor & rear swingarm right behind the go-kart's seat. Would take some fabbing & with a shee motor you'd have to figure out where you wanted to mount the radiator. Would be cool, if ya go through with it keep us posted.
  20. Good idear big-boy.
  21. Yeah, I figure a dime is between .020 & .025, ought to be just fine. As far as the filing, don't sweat it...took me maybe all of 5 minutes to do.
  22. LMAO....I like the ones that are a little blue by the motor...
  23. No chit! That's a not a bad deal, looks legit too!
  24. When I installed my -2 arm I also installed +2+1 a-arms, the difference was night/day. Better handling, better acceleration, better balance in the air, just all around much better. I don't exactly know what my HP is, but it's far from stock, but not 85hp either. Granted, shee wheelies easier now...but still only when I want it to, it's not un-controllable at all. The only thing I can suggest is if you're 'iffy' about it, try & find someone brave enough to let you ride their's & make up your own opinion. I had never ridden one with a shortened arm before I installed mine and I have not regretted it at all. And I ride 90% dunes as of now. I'm going to be doing some MX also though. I have absolutely not one complaint, even when at the dunes. I can grab the holeshot like no other in the drags, shee hooks up well on both the dirt & sand, I'm running 20" 8 paddle strait cuts, similar to haulers but a little wider.
  25. 1st, get yourself a Clymer's manual. 2nd, you'll need an OHM meter.
