  1. I remember paying $550 for a full set of 4, SkatTrak 9 paddle haulers on 10's & front mohawks all on douglass blue label .160's. But then again, that was about damn near 5 years ago.
  2. I'd pull the clutch cover off & check for any visable damage, and go from there.
  3. Most likely from rocks getting flung up by the tires. I got a small one like that on my right silencer, in about the same place. WhiteBrothers puts a dent in their silencers so when the rear shock is compressed the muffler doesn't hit the brake calliper. At least with the E-series silencer anyway.
  4. No, right in front of the motor. See the pic...the swingarm isn't 'hard' to remove, but I'd rather them take the swingarm than the rest of the bike if it came down to it.
  5. Along with Roll Design & LS, they better be good for the price!
  6. Be sure & post the dates of when you'll be there! That may be around the time I plan my next trip. I'll be there next weekend!..18th-21st with some of the other guys on here. Can't wait! Weather's looking good so far...should be even nicer around the end of April, maybe a little more rain; but there's nothing wrong with packed sand!
  7. I think anymore paddles are getting to be like aftermarket pipes. Pick which one you feel will suit your style & go with it. I loved my 20" 9 paddle haulers, they were flawless for me. I now have those 8 paddle Turbo paddles & like them just as much as my haulers, maybe even a bit more since they were over $100 cheaper.
  8. Yes...yes you can. That sucks man, keep scratch'n your head though; you're bound to get it figured out. I've been at my whit's end more than enough with my shee, but always seem to get it figured out at the last.
  9. I have the same clutch & on the first few rides it was exactly how you describe. It's gotten better, but is still a little hard to push with the clutch pulled in---so I just put it in neutral. Nature of the beast I guess.
  10. I'm now running the same stator myself. I advanced the timing +4...no regrets. Now shee has absolutely no hesitation from idle to WOT. Give me a chub just think'n about it.
  11. Right on...what size did you get & how do you like it? I'm thinking about getting me one, or maybe for the g/f and am just curious. I like THOR products & gear myself...
  12. Haven't had any problems with my 3.9, but I only have 27k on it too. Has been a great little truck & good gas mileage. Runs better than my old Chevy1500 w/the 4.3 v6. The only thing I've noticed is a lot of condensation whenever I start it up in the mornings.
  13. Smells like stator. Same shit mine was doing. I checked EVERYTHING before I replaced my stator. It started & ran great up until WOT(Wide Open Throttle), then it would spit, sputter, backfire...shit all over itself, but only at WOT. $140 and a new rickystator stator on an adjustable plate, advanced the timing 4 degree's & Shee is screamin! Have you tried disconecting your TORRS? Still have E-brake assymbly?
  14. After reading this thread...I need a beer. Damn...lets get this strait,...you went to the dunes, with your banshee, & still didn't have a good time? Sounds like a personal problem to me. If you got such a badass ride, why bitch about others? What I think of your original post --> Cry to someone who gives a hoot.
  15. Good to hear! Sounds like you got 'the fever'. Ride safe & have fun with it.
  16. Let that be a lesson to ya! That had to suck.
  17. No chit there either! I use it on my plastics though, those armorall wipes are nice. As far as chaining it down,...I'd run it through the frame right in front of the motor.
  18. I'm in....figure out total price for one of them bad-boys shipped to 67156.
  19. You oughta check out LS, ok after a big weekend. Talk about some choppy ass, wooped up sand!
  20. I pimp the new Thor Force Protector...clear/silver mug. Very comfortable & breaths as well as protects very well.
  21. I'm sure to have me a pack o'smokes....I usually don't venture too far or for too long, so I don't usually take water, etc... Always ride w/a buddy.
  22. Yeah,...matchbook---good thinking. just use a ratchet strap tie-down. That's what I've always done. An impact is great to have around...but not everyone's fortunate enough to have one. I got pics of this on the digi cam at home, but haven't got them loaded to the pc yet. As soon as I get the pics on the pc I'll post them. Just take the tiedown, rap it around the flywheel, attach both hooks to the frame right above where the swingarm bolts on....ratchet it tight & unscrew the flywheel nut.
  23. Same here. Don't have the paperwork though, so the warranty may be no good. I've ran the UPP sliders as well, they're alright, wear slowly but surely...pretty good buy, but if you can afford just a bit more, go with TM Designworks.
  24. How about 'Jimmy'? Or 'deL'(Led backwards)? I've already decided without a doubt my first girl will be named 'Paige' after Jimmy Page. My last name is King & my old man always told me I was lucky he didn't name me Martin Luther. Just imagine that, being a white kid named Martin Luther King.
