Dunno, it's up to you. I've never had a problem with my tors, but many people have. It looks cleaner & would probably make it a bit easier to rejet if they weren't on the carbs, but it's whatever. You can always disconnect the plug on them too so they're not really doing what they're there for.

Hey now...copycats? I've ran both, and I prefer PC over toomey myself; and I'm primarily a duner. PC's aren't top end pipes. Bottom line, banshee pipes are like pussies, everyone has their own opinion upon which are the best. For instance, how the hell else does a fat chick with an amazonial woopher-hole get pregnant?...someone must have liked it. I'll show ya just how crappy the old pro circuits are this weekend! hehe

Sucks to be you guys!
-
Yes, you will want to run them. And yes they do aid in the backpressure, that's why it's suggested to keep your silencers well packed.
-
Whichever you prefer. What's your current jetting look like? If you rev it up & hit the kill switch, what's your plugs looking like?
-
Ummm...No. I guess if you're innovative enough you could find you an older 110atc & steal the tentioner off of it, and mod it on your shee somehow. Would be like a bastardized amp link. That's the one thing on a banshee that really, really blows ass & should have been fixed a long time ago. But it works, so you'll just have to get a nac for doing it. Or if you got the $$, look into a swingarm with a round-house bearing carrier.

How Many Think The Spam Thread Is Almost As The
ledofthezep replied to sredish's topic in Roostin' Room
THe thread doesn't have a nut-hair compared to the dildo dick boy. That's one sick arse mofo, after having his dick split like that; I don't think he's too much bothered by pain, nor would he a shit in the eye. Hell, one could successfully drop a turd in his dick! Sad thing is, the sick bastard would probably get off on it! -
Right And Wrong Way To Ride A 2 Stroke?
ledofthezep replied to trail rider's topic in General Banshee Discussion
God isn't that the truth. Very well put. I just spent about 9 hours dialing in the jetting on the g/f's EX & all I did was add an exhaust. -
Insure A Banshee For 10k Or More?
ledofthezep replied to bansheeman95's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Dunno, you may be able to insure it & also get it included with your home owners insurance to get you about what you're wanting. Just a thought. -

I hear that! I probably wouldn't know what to do with myself... -
Good question?

How Much Timing Advance On A Banshee
ledofthezep replied to gonzoret's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I wouldn't go with anything over +4 unless you got a motor that can handle it. If you were building a drag motor running on alky, with a badass crank & other internals...I'd say you'd be ok. With your mods I'd just go with +4, you won't be dissapointed, I sure as hell wasn't. -
Bored is an understatement...is it 5pm yet? I'm ready to go home. Work sucks!

Good input Lightninn2...you're an HQ natural. Atop of that, if you have an OHM meter, you may check the stator after checking what was already mentioned. Again, get yourself a clymer's manual. It will more than pay itself off in the long run, plus it will give you all the specs & troubleshooting assitance. And welcome to the HQ.

Just got to thinking,...I know there are some other Monty Python fans here. Anyone ever see the Flying Circus "SPAM" episode. It's flipp'n great! Here's the skit for those interested... Scene: A cafe. One table is occupied by a group of Vikings wearing horned helmets. Whenever the word "spam" is repeated, they begin singing and/or chanting. A man and his wife enter. The man is played by Eric Idle, the wife is played by Graham Chapman (in drag), and the waitress is played by Terry Jones, also in drag. Man: You sit here, dear. Wife: All right. Man: Morning! Waitress: Morning! Man: Well, what've you got? Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam; Vikings: Spam spam spam spam... Waitress: ...spam spam spam egg and spam; spam spam spam spam spam spam baked beans spam spam spam... Vikings: Spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Waitress: ...or Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam. Wife: Have you got anything without spam? Waitress: Well, there's spam egg sausage and spam, that's not got much spam in it. Wife: I don't want ANY spam! Man: Why can't she have egg bacon spam and sausage? Wife: THAT'S got spam in it! Man: Hasn't got as much spam in it as spam egg sausage and spam, has it? Vikings: Spam spam spam spam... (Crescendo through next few lines...) Wife: Could you do the egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam then? Waitress: Urgghh! Wife: What do you mean 'Urgghh'? I don't like spam! Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Waitress: Shut up! Vikings: Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Waitress: Shut up! (Vikings stop) Bloody Vikings! You can't have egg bacon spam and sausage without the spam. Wife: I don't like spam! Man: Sshh, dear, don't cause a fuss. I'll have your spam. I love it. I'm having spam spam spam spam spam spam spam beaked beans spam spam spam and spam! Vikings: Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Waitress: Shut up!! Baked beans are off. Man: Well could I have her spam instead of the baked beans then? Waitress: You mean spam spam spam spam spam spam... (but it is too late and the Vikings drown her words) Vikings: (Singing elaborately...) Spam spam spam spam. Lovely spam! Wonderful spam! Spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam spa-a-a-a-a-am spam. Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Lovely spam! Spam spam spam spam! Ya gotta love it!

LMAO This thread's getting 'out of hand'! Back to the subject here....I've found that exercising does help, try to stay in decent shape, and stretch before you go out & ride. You'd be amazed at what 5 mins worth of stretching will do.

Is Riding In Sand Similar To.............
ledofthezep replied to trail rider's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Probably not much like sand, more like a freshly plowed & disked field...sand is unique, hard to explain...just plain awesome. If you own a banshee you should definately, at some point in your life, try the dunes. It'll be a life changing experience. They'll do great in deep, lose soil, if you can get traction. With a banshee, traction is the key in a lot of instances. What kinda tobacco you growing? Never met a person who grew 'legal' tobacco. -
Not my bro....it's that dude's bro. I have no brothers. But it'll be interesting, that's for sure.

I stopped feeling sorry for you there...sounds like you're doing a little too much But really, I like/agree with what fixitrod just posted.

Nothing with it's junk until something screws up. Don't listen to them, just ride the damn thing. If you break something, fix it; if not...well that 'shit' tranny in the shee is better than they say. I've had my shee for years now, it's a '97 and I've had no tranny issues that were major at all.

Not a bad idear...nothing wrong with custom work. I dunno man, I searched & didn't find anything, you may contact laeger.

Don't go over .030" Anymore than that you can encounter squish problems. That ought to put you anywhere from 150-160lbs compression, low enough for premium, but won't hurt to run race gas. From my knowledge, anything over 160lbs you'll need a higher octane. I milled mine .030 & did notice some power gains and higher compression. Haven't had any problems at all. No complaints. Fairly cheap mod, good bang for the buck. With the mods you have already, you'll be sit'n pretty.
