  1. so a small update, looks like Kevin has finally given in. Hes agreed to refund me for the crank and im sending it back as soon as I get the go ahead. Hoping to order the new bearings and crank this weekend if the return happens by then and also going to grab some fresh copper washers for the cool head.
  2. I was looking to just get a max load and tz from fast when I order a crank Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  3. http://www.cascadeinnovations.net/store/store_View.cfm?STORE_AREA_ID=13&store_dept_id=129 Try Google next time. 1 minute and answer found Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  4. I have a 4mil on a stock swing arm but as you know my engine isn't up to par. It's still a fun ride though, comes up fast, easy to ride in trails, slides really easy Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  5. The next time my shee runs, it'll be with a hot rods crank. It's just whether or not I pay for it or Kevin decides to swap me straight up. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  6. Someone told me to run the HR crank with stock outer bearings and let it eat Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  7. Your description exactly matches the guy I bought it from
  8. Pictures of carbs? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  9. The first time I ran this engine it started chattering really bad. Flywheel had come loose. I thought it sheared the key. It was torqued down too. That nut and lock washer were on this bike when I got it. I thought it was stock. I reinstalled the flywheel, torqued again and it's been fine since. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  10. Google must be broken today
  11. I'm not going to buy a crank until the PayPal claim is settled. I might end up with the hotrods like I originally thought I was getting. Kevin is clearly not going to give. He just went from criticizing my leak down test to telling me my jetting is the issue. Dude is looking for an out bad Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  12. Sheerider, it's still an issue. Toofast, I'm only going to mock the engine up on my bench to see if the squish changes with the parts torqued in a different order. Kevin is still fishing for info and looking for an out in this deal. He hasn't mentioned the PayPal claim but I am sure that's what sparked this conversation today
  13. I didn't say I was going to run it, merely put the head on the jugs and snug it up before I torque the jugs. Don't remember who made that suggestion but it makes sense Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  14. I'm going to give his parts one more shot, I'm going to reassemble the engine, try putting the head on differently, and check squish again. I'll have the new domes from Justin this week. That would make the squish on this crank right. Although I know she needs a hot rods crank. He's staying on the path that I have an air leak though. He thinks my jetting is like way way off and that's all that's wrong. Idk Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  15. I'm about to. Anyone interested in a mint 4mil crank? Lol 5 days of riding on it. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  16. So I'm torn. He's finally talking to me and taking this seriously. He told me where to set timing, pickup gap, and plug gap and I'm very close on all 3 already. He's asked for jetting, what the plugs look like, he's asked what carbs I'm running 3 times, pipes, and everything else. He thinks my 4mil being 2-3 lengths ahead in 300' is a "huge gap" and that if I want more power I just need different domes. Idk, I'm debating reassembling the engine tonight and putting the head on first and then torque the jugs to see if my squish changes. To a more even number. So far, he's said my pipes are holding me back (I know that) and he thinks I have a leak after the carbs however my leak down test was perfect 2 rides ago. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  17. I'm prepared for him to refuse to help me after this, I'm also prepared to come out of pocket for a HR crank and I'll sell this one off to someone that can rebuild it
  18. I hope so. They said it can go one of three ways, they side with him and I'm on my own, or they side with me and he replaces the crank and the I ship mine back or refunds me the $390 and I ship this one back. There's also the possibility that he doesn't reply in which case in 10 days they'll side with me and just give me the 390 back and I move on, but that's a long shot Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  19. The call started as just asking if they could even help me, by the end of the call it was a done deal. I hate to be like that but for what I paid, I expect the work to be right Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  20. I do take my cylinders down in steps, usually 3-4 much like the cool head, however I have always put the jugs on first, got them torqued and then done the head. I hadn't considered using the head to square the jugs first. Good idea there. I did put in a call to paypal, the guy listened to everything that happened and said that if I was expecting a HR crank (based on Kevin talking me that hot rods are standard in his kits)and that's not what I got, then I had a claim worth starting. Guy was super helpful, I told him the measurements that were off, and that I had contacted Kevin and he refused to fix it. I hope paypal can help me resolve this, that's why we pay them right? 21. So, the webs have no name, one just says 58mm, the bearings say TPI, Taiwan RL.
  22. It has G115 rods, I won't know on bearings and webs until I get it out in a little while. It has a silver labyrinth seal with 2 o rings, webs are black. Im clearing the work bench now so I can get the engine apart and get you all some pictures of this race winning crank I got
  23. I would like it to be on record that I did ask for one from the start and he didn't want to sell me one Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  24. I'm honestly just considering replacing the crank at this point. I want to make it right, and reliable. For what I have in this bike I refuse to settle for anything less than 100% Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  25. Yeah, I'm going to pull the jugs back off and measure both cylinders overall length Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
