  1. I was going to give Kevin a call later on also and give him a chance to chime in before I go anywhere else. I'll always let the manufacturer of something try to fix an issue before I blast them. Not my style. If fresh gaskets and domes get it right, that's fine. From now on I'll go elsewhere though. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  2. Sleeper, that's what I want. A bike that borderline scares me everytime I ride it. Not saying it's a slouch right now, but I think she could be much better Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  3. So I asked him specifically about the quality of his crankshafts and he assured me that his cranks were fine, not saying that's the truth, and at this point I'm not backing him due to these issues. What I have is certainly not a HR crank Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  4. The hell with it, I'm busy the next 2 weekends so why not try to get it fixed now. I'll call Cam and get his opinion and see if he wants any other info and I'll tear into it tonight Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  5. I may very well pull the head and jugs tonight and get some measurements. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  6. I ran that for 10 gallons, the last mix was straight 93 once I came to my senses. I added the extra octane to combat the (at the time) 6 degree advance. I have no issue mixing fuel to get what I need, just want to avoid going straight 110 on a trail bike Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  7. I might also call redline, I have read nothing but good things about the guys there. I called noss last week to ask about some of this and got no answer. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  8. I've been somewhat disappointed ever since I checked compression after building it. Showed 130 new and 140 after 2 heat cycles. Maybe I don't know enough about all this yet but it seemed kinda low to me based on what I've read on here Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  9. I'm going to call noss with all this first and get his take on the domes. I'm thinking that I might as well grab a fresh .020 base gasket too since I'm only 8 studs away. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  10. I am not sure. It was supplied by Kevin. Next time around I will measure everything and make notes Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  11. Found a picture I took where I can see the gasket set. G star gaskets. Can't find anything regarding them online, and it's different from the one shown on his site Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  12. I can't remember the manufacturer of the gaskets. I think it started with an S? I've seen them on banshee depot. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  13. I've done some reading on squish tonight, I know what you're referring to. I have 4 pieces of solder from squish tests tonight. The flat portion from the cylinder wall to the inner edge of the dome measures at .415, I checked all 4 and they're all almost identical Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  14. Surf, in regards to the width, are you referring to the flat portion of the dome inside the cylinder? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  15. Okay, pulled the right side pipe, put a finger against the piston as I pulled the kickstarter over and the piston drops just below the lower edge of the port. I cannot give a value but it's noticeable Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  16. I did not. I admit, I was anxious to get it running and assembled it. I just checked squish again, on the left cylinder, checked in 4 places, 12,3,6,9 o'clock I showed less than .001 variance. From .066-.067, so perhaps it is my base gasket Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  17. I'm not running straight 110. I'm not sure where octane numbers came in but I run 2 gallons 110 and 3 93, comes to 100, mixed 32:1. When it comes to the port, I originally asked for his opinion on what port to run as this is still a trail bike first. I just also like to race, Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  18. Yes sir Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  19. I am not sure of the duration on the exhaust. I did not ask him what those numbers were. I'll ask him, but not sure if he'll know or remember for my cylinders unless he just knows what the 4mil specs are for his MX port Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  20. Either or, I can call noss if it's easier for him to set them up based on my specifics. Idk what's best. On the invoice he sent me the domes are listed as pump 23/13/115. What do those 3 values represent Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  21. Any recommendations surf? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  22. Well shit. This might get expensive quick..... Again Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  23. Right on. It has new reeds, intakes, brand new crank and pistons and all that. It has a few Sunday Funday rides at a buddies house and has been to Busco twice as is. So I don't imagine much can be torn up or anything. I definitely think it needs domes and maybe some different gaskets Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  24. I started at 152 mains. I made a pull and the porcelain looked as white as new. So I jumped up to the 160 and made another pull to get this. Before I do another chop I think she needs some dyno time to see if it's living up to some similar 4mil builds Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  25. What all did you end up doing/replacing to get it right? Not saying my issue is the same or anything but just curious. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
