  1. I thought about that too, believe me. But that means finding a way to haul it too. I have a trailer but a banshee and grizzly and it's full. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

  3. I decided to start fresh here versus continue on in a 20+ page thread from the past. As most will recall, I had some issues with my engine and, Thanks to everyone that helped I got it all straightened out. My bike pulls so much harder i the upper gears than ever before. This time however, I'm after some more info regarding bike setup I mostly just bullshit on my bike, trail ride, wheelies, drag race, i like to air it out some on MX tracks at busco, really just ride it anywhere and everywhere. Lately though I've really been getting the itch to drag race, I never understood why people found it interesting before, and then I got my banshee and very quickly got the itch. With that said, I definitely have the motor for it, but this past weekend, on every launch in 2nd gear it still fails to just go. She doesn't stumble, break down, nothing like that. It's more like it just doesn't have the torque to pull the gearing (14/40) so I ordered a 42 & 44 tooth rear to do some testing with tomorrow. Going to start on the 42. Sometimes it'll get a solid launch and just wants to stand straight up in both first and second gear. I noticed all the drag bikes running 4 snow rear tires and after some reading it looks as though they work like an overdrive for the trans. Expanding at higher speeds and making the gearing seem taller. Not sure if I should potentially look into a +2 or +4 roundhouse swingarm Get some 4 snow tires change gearing or some combination of those 3, I'm also open to suggestions. I'm hesitant on the swingarm since it is still a woods/trail bike but I am not sure, most of my reading tells me not to do it, I also don't want to lose the bikes wheelie ability, although it wouldn't be the end of the world if it did. Thoughts from BHQ?
  4. There were a handful of really nasty 2 stroke dirtbikes, slammed and stretched and I have 0 issues with them. That 1 goon though was getting under my skin. He was fast, but his bike looked and ran like shit. It really wasn't all that impressive until about half track when it absolutely came to life and hauled ass. Maybe he was sandbagging, I'm not sure
  5. Hell, I've hit 6th out in front of my house. This kid definitely doesn't deserve that bike. It does have a boost bottle though....
  6. This one kid, red dirtbike. Had an older style real round tank on it. Anyway, his pipe was flopping around loose all day saturday, idk what kept it on, and because of the way it was made he had no right footpeg, so he just held his leg out and he kept kicking up dirt at other people beside him. All in all dude was being a douche all day
  7. Yeah that's what I thought. It was still a decent time, even though we went somewhat unprepared and I had a massive gust of wind saturday night destroy my canopy while we were loading up. I was really looking forward to the MX track like always but that bitch was underwater
  8. Man you're just a short drive away from me. Is there any type of actual store front or anything? I love shop settings and would be down to make a ride out one weekend to see some cool shit, since none of the power sports places in Fredericksburg even acknowledge that the banshee exists. Ive been laughed out of 2 shops for asking about some OEM yamaha parts I wanted to order
  9. Oh, I had never seen it closed off before. so that's only on drag event weekends?
  10. I had a Barnett in my pulling tractor (has a 1991 Yamaha fzr 1000 engine) and we found out the hard way that a Barnett does not like to be slipped. They are an on or off clutch. No in between. We ended up shearing the basket off the drive gear. Went to falicon for a new basket, and went oem Yamaha clutch. It's much smoother, less grubby and is holding up great Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  11. Yes. If you're running braided then you don't need them. So cut them off Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah, exactly. They even roped off the track Friday night so nobody could get on it Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  13. Believe it or not, a 400ex pulled me right out like it was on dry ground. Overall, still pissed about the racing situation. $20 for 3 hours and only 5 passes
  14. We continued to ride in the rain. Other than this one shit spot where I got stuck, it still wasn't all that bad
  15. So here's how it went down. We got in around 930, set up camp and went straight for the strip. It was sick, tree, timing equipment, grading equipment, but had to pay an extra $20 to some dude there. Got paid up, and they keep holding the track for this monster 4 cylinder snowmo powered bike that was trying to break some record. between his passes we could race for a few, then he'd come back, they would prep the track again and he would run. so all in all I think I got 5 runs in before they shut down for the night, and he ran out of paper for his printer so nobody got time slips Next day, we were told racing started at 8. Head over, no equipment. Found the guy in charge and he said because of a chance of rain at noon, he wasn't getting any of it out. It ended up being beautiful all day until around 5 when the skies absolutely opened up. track was still nicer than most days. Idk if it was just drag race weekend that brought out the Douchebags or what but there were a few dudes on 2 stroke drag dirtbikes acting like absolute assclowns
  16. I haven't cut it yet. I haven't gotten to that stage yet. My subframe is bent from a rollover (previous owner) and I haven't decided if I want to chop it and make one, buy a weld on, or swap the frame Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  17. I got a jds bracket for behind the gas tank just to clean my subframe up. Didn't want any wires or hoses running back there so I deleted it all Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  18. I ran mine a little different. Works good here and easy to adjust depending on what kind of riding I'm doing Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  19. Make no mistake about it mate Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  20. You posted this yesterday too word for word in a different section Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

  22. you mean running lean. there's a difference
  23. listen to doobie, someone that has had ported cylinders vs this other douche. If you want a list of builders not to go with. PM me and ill save you all sorts of trouble. Nevermind. Just read my signature
  24. Have you messed with your air screw or needle clip Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
  25. Camp is telling you right. Unless someone near you has a vacuum gauge for the carbs, look into buying one from fast racing. $55 I think and it's a very helpful tool. I use mine all the time Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
