  1. I was thinkin the same thing. What's with the bends in the bars?
  2. I didnt mean anyone was bashin FMF's in this paticular case, only meant that its been said that they are not the best choice at times
  3. Check out the tech section on lower end walk through, that with a clymers you'll be headin in the right direction
  4. I rebuilt mine last year, went from non-ported with pipes, sent crank off and had rebuilt, cylinders ported and stock shaved head, VF3's, I wanted something for trails and wanted it reliable. Ended up at 150 comp, already had FMF fatties and Toomey silencers (how it was when i bought it). I put pods on it and installed timing plate at +4, stock carbs, i feel it is a very "useable" power now. Lots of guys bash FMF's, but ill say this, not much bad is said about Pro Circuits with a set up simiar to mine, but i actually just tested a set the other day and just today i put my old set up back on if that tells you anything. My point is don't be scared of gettin your stock head milled and there is nothin wrong with FMF. (With the right silencers, personally hate the sound of FMF silencers)
  5. You're less than an hour from havin engine out and tore down. Might as well pull it and tear down to be safe. You'll get all the answers you need here but best advice is to get a Clymers
  6. Ive never seen or heard of anti sieze corroding anything.
  7. With billet its easier to see where the level is at and it dont crossthread
  8. I take my chains to a local shop, they have tons of different master links, just keep tryin until we find on that fits right
  9. Theres your problem. Kits come with 200 mains usually. Way too samll
  10. One stock swinger you can remove some material from where the bottom bolt mounts, this will let the carrier move forward so you can run the chain you shortened. I had to shorten a chain to run a 13 tooth front and had to take about a 1/4"
  11. That sucks. Few extra minutes woulda prevented that
  12. ^^ That damn sure dont happen often, I would never get that lucky. To have my wallet returned or a $200 "blaster"
  13. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/snw/4958159409.html
  14. True. Most of the time though letting them meet would not be ideal
  15. Who the hell wants to put up with 2 of them
  16. Pay attention to intakes too, mine leaked like hell after rebuild
