  1. Just got a buddies bike back together, has a hard time starting. Needs choked every time and kicked about 10 or 12 times. Has FMF gold series power core silencers, shaved head not sure how much, 280 mains, 27.5 pilot, needle in middle, 120 on each cylinder, K and N filter stock box no lid. Good color on plugs runs good once it gets going. Carbs have been cleaned several times with detail each time. Each has been properly set. My question is should we try bumping up pilots? Is a biatch to start sometimes. Appreciate any help Oh and tank and petcock has also been cleaned
  2. Must be talking about Driptroit. Worked on a few 6V92's in the day
  3. LOL I remember seeing that I need to get the carbs off and see what jets I got, but by the looks of the old plugs its plenty rich. BUT I dont think these pipes have been on there long, I seen that ad on CL and it looked like it had the raw pipes and the dude put on his listing it had Toomies, I even mentioned it to him when I was lookin at it that they were mis-matched but didnt think about the picture until I was drivin home
  4. Picked up on 01 a few days ago, has quite a bit of small isues to deal with, but I did have a question may be dumb but I don't know. Its got FMF fattys and T5 silencers, is this possibly going to cause any issues? I dont know what jets are in it yet, still has TORS and am waiting on delete kit before I remove carbs, (going to clean anyway) while carbs are off going to do leak down. Compression on both sides is 120 and it runs good. just wondering about the pipe combo.
  5. Me and some friends were ridin one day got done just before dark. We had unloaded at a friends house shoulda loaded up before dark but we stood around bullshittin too long. Anyway we loaded up and strapped them down and headed home. Only had about 4 mile drive to my house which was where my other 2 buddies parked and rode with me. When we pulled in my driveway we found my buddies banshee was NOT on the trailer! After a brief panic we got back in the truck and re traced our route totally expecting a pile of scrap metal when we found it. About a mile from my house we found it on all fours in the middle of the highway. Not a scratch on it. To this day my buddy swears he strapped it down. And we have no clue how it didn't get destroyed.
  6. I'm still waiting on the guy to get back with me, made an offer and havent heard nothing. I get the screwdriver thing. Kinda like a sledgehammer mechanic and chainsaw carpenter.
  7. Well good news is idiots tend to tear shit up then sell it cheap
  8. Cool thanks. I didn't know this method. I just figured if you were fouling plugs it was too rich. I'm in process of trying to get a 97 that's had the top end pulled. A few friends are gonna help me pull engine and tear down and rebuild if I do get it. I wanted to buy a runner but I guess its good to rebuild and know whats inside
  9. I got 2 buddies that have all the comp and leak down test tools. What is plug chop?
  10. That's what I've heard but not much experience as for as if they run too lean on one side they tend explode. I'm not all too familiar with 2 strokes
  11. Hello all, fng here new member. I have been on the site quite often just now got around to signin up. I dont currently own a banshee but am in process of gettin one. (Had a Raptor) Always been around guys who rode Banshees and always wanted one but was scared away because of all the talk about "fresh rebuild" or "it blew up now needs rebuild". Anyway I have decided I am going to get a banshee finally and I was hoping not to sound like a rookie but I do have some questions First, I rode with guys who had all bone stock banshees and never had a bit of problems out of them. It was the guys who went to modding stuff that seemed like they were always blown up. So my question is what steps can you do to prevent engine damage? Short of not abusing it. Another question, probably a dumb one but what's is the TORS system? I know some safety crap but that's all I know. Any help would be appreciated.
