The top swivel part can be put on wrong. There is a stop on that part so it won't go out more and you put it on wrong it will swivel open the wrong way.
The Banshee has stayed the same all throughout these years except for some changes with the tail light and plastic colors. From what I've heard yes a Clymers manual is much better than the Yamaha because of instructions. Also yes the power band does cause some vibrating.
Can you twist it the other way towards the motor? You can put the little levers on the wrong way. I did this once and checked it again just as I was about to put it back on my bike and it was on the wrong way.
Ok thanks loco. I will take a closer look at it tomorrow. I'm sure its probably just the cable considering its 21 years old. I'll have to get myself a nice new Motion Pro cable.
When I start my bike up in neutral and pull the clutch in and put it into gear if I give it a good amount of throttle I notice that the rear wheels just move forwards a little like the clutch isn't fully engaging. The fitting that plugs I to the clutch lever is screwed all the way out so could it just be a stretched cable and is there an adjustment on the other end of the cable just below the carbs?
Nah man sorry I just wouldn't have the money. I am supposed to be going up to the dunes one more time this year so I will be very happy with how much of a power difference it has now.
Yeah. I'm on my way home from up north and it ran good so no complaints really. I want to pull the Fatty's off and see how much shit is in there that I can just burn out. I wish I had money just to buy CPI inframes and throw away those shitty FMF's.
FMF says middle position needle. I put the 270 in, reset the needle position, and now the top end really comes out. I drag raced the Banshee that was my dad's yesterday and beat it by a long shot and the top end really came out, no hesitations.
So about that hesitation, now its all the time and it stays. I have to give it a good couple of blimps of the throttle for it to get past it. Other than that my bike runs solid. I went to a Yamaha dealer and bought another 270 jet so I'm going to pop them in and put new spark plugs in.
