  1. Alright one last thing I wanna ask is how did you have the electrical set up? The internal battery, 9V, stator?
  2. Lol I don't have an iPhone or a bar bad. Maybe I could custom make a bracket for my phone and just download a speed app for that.
  3. Ok yeah I wouldn't really care about the tach. I don't really care about water temp too it was just a neat feature IMO. They do have those GPS speedometers that people use in their Traxxas RC cars...
  4. Ok. Is there any other brand that makes these computers?
  5. Were you guys running resistor plugs?
  6. Lol ok. Well is there any other brands that make computers?
  7. I am reading that the Trail Tech Vector kit is having better reviews. It has a lot of similarities to the Vapor but this shows your total distance too and it is $10 more. I think I will go with that. I already run BR8ES plugs so I'm set with the resistance.
  8. ^Those two reviews sound like everyone else's lol
  9. I have some extra money and I heard about the Trail Tech Vapor system so I looked into it and it seems like a lot of people have issues with the tachometer not reading correctly or the speedometer. I was just looking to see if there was a system better than the Vapor system that has no problems and something for just dicking around with. No drag racing or anything here. I want something that is similar to the Vapor interface. Thanks.
  10. It says its billet so yes that is a good one. Also it is T6 aluminum which is a very good aluminum.
  11. Well it's not just Sparky. AKheathen's write up on the mod said that 1mm = 1.136 degrees. Also when a couple of other people posted about the timing plate mod the people giving them instructions said the same thing.
  12. I looked it up and everyone that did a write up on the timing plate mod said that 1mm is actually 1.136 degrees.
  13. I watched Sparky's video and he said 1mm is equivalent to 1 degree :/
  14. Yep. What a sick motherfucker.
  15. It worked. I took a drill and elongated the wholes 4mm and it fit on the engine case fine. I can hear it sparking a lot faster now in the exhaust.
  16. Nevermind I found out the right carb was out of sync. When I cracked the but loose the entire hex cap that goes over the throttle broke. I will have to order a new carb top and hex for the cable.
  17. Hmmm the left one smokes as it goes down. Well I pulled the plugs to check on them and the right plug got fouled because I was running the air screw too rich. So I put new plugs in and now the right cylinder isn't even firing. I put my hands behind the exhaust and the left exhaust is nice and warm but the right is cold. It only smokes and is warm at 1/2 throttle so I am going to take the carb apart and clean out the pilot and main and see if it changes. I should take a look at my reeds too.
  18. Are you going fast through it and what air filter set up?
  19. Also I've been meaning to ask this, the right exhaust doesn't put out smoke when it gets around 3/4 throttle. When the RPM's drop it starts to smoke again and smokes at idle. No backfiring or anything so is this something with my carbs?
  20. Well I finished my plate and got it mounted, out the stator on, put the flywheel and key on and set the coil pick up and I am impressed! I weight 200lbs and I was putting around my backyard blinking 1/4 throttle and the acceleration is tremendous! I was popping wheelies like crazy! Here's a video of me revving it. I had to adjust my air screw a tad but it is all good now. I hold it WOT in neutral and it revvs all the way to top end in only a second, no bogging or spuddering. Also helps idle.
  21. ^lol
  22. Aight. I should get a compression test done. 80-90 hours on the motor since last rebuild and still running fine.
