  1. Pods or air box k and n filter? Your jet size should be marked on the mains and the pilots. DitCh the boost bottle and get a stick cross over tube. Get a clymers manual and it will walk you through carb setup.
  2. List your jetting. Mains and pilots and all mods. Pipes? Filters? Reeds? Porting? Everything you know about it.
  3. I had no clue what was run in mine. This is what I did. I didn't give a shit what mix the oil was at. I ran up the main to a 340. Mixed at 32:1 then worked my way down. Obviously 340 is was too much. Not knowing what mix or jetting is the thought process behind that. Took it down a main size at a time till I had a 2.5mm brown ring and been beating on it ever since. Also did a leak down and boiled carbs before anything.
  4. If you don't know, read your plugs. Just guessing 40:1 is good to go will blow a motor.

  9. Firestone destination mt's Period. I have averaged 50-55k out of the last four sets of 35's. Just rotate them every 3k miles. They were on back order and I had to buy some cooper discoverer stt's and don't like them so far.
  10. Don't get into a ratio debate. Just pick 40:1 or 32:1 and jet accordingly.
  11. One carb bowl has a brass bb in the casting which goes on the left carb.
  12. You will only have one choke knob, but you should have a hose connecting the two carbs.
  13. Does the right cylinder pick up if you rev it up?
  14. Have you switched the plug wires to see if the problem follows?
  15. I was talking about the " I will check for air leaks when it's time for new jugs" part. Do a leak down and make sure it holds.
