In my experience backfiring has been a problem with a small pilot jet. 25's are ok for stock motors or bored motors with pipes. If you have are ported might want to go to 27.5. Also play with the air screw. You should be between .5 and 1.5 turns on a properly jetted bike. If you have had some big backfires check the reeds. They can break because of backfiring. Adam

Good information here. Hit up Ride.race.live. He is a Canadian and pretty savy about getting parts from the states. Another route for the head is to talk to Mull Engineering and have him do his magic on your head. Then you could have a sleeper motor (stock head stock cylinders). This is one of the ideas I have bouncing around in my head. Faster and more power than all the stock motors but looks stock! Adam

Only thing I would add to the above is Permatex Aviation Form a Gasket. It is designed to work in oil and gas applications. I have used this many times in dealing snowmobile cases and the banshees. Stuff is great! Pick it up at any Napa for 5 bucks. Hope that helps

When you adjust the essentric screw make sure the bike is in gear. First or second it don't matter. Then adjust the claw so that it is even on top and bottom with the shifting pegs on the shift star. Then tighten the lock and the folding washer. Adam
