  1. 421 Serval! Stock Cylinder 4 mil is also an awesome choice. Adam
  2. If you have an Autozone around you, they will rent a decent compression tester for 42.00. When you return the Compression tester they refund that 42 bucks back to you. Make sure that you are WOT when you do a compression test or it will not come out correctly. If you need any help, there are quite a few guys that can point you in the right direction. The banshee is an extremely simple ATV with its limited computer and wiring harness. With a basic set of tools you can accomplish most of the maintenance on the bike. With a few more special tools, 32mm socket, 27 mm socket, flywheel puller, clutch basket holding tool, the rest of the jobs can be done with little effort. If you do not have a service manual you can DL the one in my sig for free. In regards to compression testing, the closer you get to 100 PSI the closer you need a rebuild and if the cylinders are ever more than 5 psi it can be bad. Make sure the test is done with an engine at operating temp. Adam
  3. No, skydiving is Adam
  4. Sweet! Glad it was something simple brother. Now you know you have no air leaks!! The only other thing now it to check compression. Drops below 100 or more than 5 psi difference per cylinder warrents a rebuild. Enjoy the shee man Adam
  5. Sorry this was painful to read I cleaned it up with spacing... Adam
  6. None really that I can think of, swap out the cdi and give that a try. I really cant think of too much else. Switched out known good coil - same problem. The carbs were cleaned and put together properly? Different parts in each carb! Choke tube on, both have fuel? Running out of options, leading to the cdi\stator adam
  7. Swap out the CDI, leave your coil on, then do the stator with your CDI and try to narrow the problem if you have access to another set of electrical. Adam
  8. How is your cylinder compression? How are your reeds? Are both cylinders firing? I can't think of much else other than its electrical or fuel problems Adam
  9. Street is your TORS system completely unplugged? Are the pick-up magnets on the outside of the flywheel clean? Is your pick-up gap set to around .020? Check out the TORS and flywheel pickup. If the flywheel is rusty might want to clean it up and try there.
  10. There is not really anything different from any of the model banshees. 87-90 are jarms, 91-01 are aarms, 02-06 they added brake lights. There has been little suspension changes, minor wiring changes but basically a banshee is a banshee. The 06 is the last model year sold in the USA, other than being that there are few cons to them, only pro's is they do have brake lights. Hope that helps, Adam
  11. Still run the same premix as always. You can check the NOSS machine site for a dome elevation/compression chart. Best off on talking to a sponsor for the best info. The stock carbs are great and useable well into the 4mil engines. So you won't have to change them. Just rejetting. Which pro design intake?
  12. You won't have to replace your V2 reeds. Those are a great reed system and you won't gain much of anything by spending that money on V3. Where is Very Va? I live in Va Beach with 3 other BHQ members. Adam
  13. Check the for sale section here on the boards. I remember a couple sets of cases over the last 2 weeks. Adam
  14. Hi, The TORS elim kit removes the TORS system from the carbs. This will help will free up area above the carbs and give a cleaner look to the bike. Aside from looks it makes it easier to sync the carbs or idle adjustment. TORS generally becomes a problem as the bike gets older. It is one of the main problems with no spark. Most of us will unplug that right off to eliminate any issues that occur with them. We have some other Aussies here at BHQ. You should talk to them about where they get their parts from! I am not sure about trinity pipes but the T-5 add more midrange power.
  15. Greetings, The 450's are beasts. They have so much torque it's crazy. You need to port your engine as suggested, add an adjustable timing plate and a NOSS or Chariot Cool Head (these types you don't have to change the head studs). The get the appropriate domes for elevation and fuel. As suggested call Jeff at FAST or Brandon at Wildcard. Both do awesome work at Great prices and will help you out with all your needs. For the money you put into a banshee you will get 10x the return on anything for a 450. For 2 grand they will never touch you with a 4mil serval with dune porting. If you are looking for more dragging then the 4mil cub is the way to go. Both of these engines are 80ish hp on gas. Good luck. Adam
  16. Hi and welcome to BHQ! T-5's are a great all around pipe that will add power to a stock motor. TORS eliminator kit will help you out with general maintenance and try are generally the first things to cause problems. If you are going with a cool head I would go with NOSS or Chariot - you do not need to change cylinder studs with this design. Adding an adjustable timing plate and setting at +4 degrees will give you 2hp across the Curve (as advertised) Personally I would spend money with Jeff at FAST or Brandon at Wildcard. They are both awesome dealers and information is free with them! I'm sure all of our sponsors help you out but I personally deal with them. I have a K&N lid. I like it, I got it from FAST racing. Also 2-1 kits can help if set up correctly, but go with Chariot over Trinity. Enjoy the banshee!! Adam
  17. Welcome to BHQ! Congrats on your first Banshee. A quick couple of popular mods that you might want to think about doing are the adjustable timing plate and set that at +4 degrees. It's will add 2hp across the entire curve. Second is the TORS eliminator kit. If you buy the TORS kit make sure the one you get has the tap/drill and idle adjustment screws. Use the Site sponsors for parts rather than eBay they have the best pricing. I personally use Jeff at FAST and Brandon at Wildcard. Awesome shipping and great prices from either one. Post up some pics of your bike! Again welcome to BHQ! Adam
  18. All you have to do is unplug the small box under the gas tank on the left hand. It's actually in front of the tank but you can't miss it. Located just opposite of the coil. I disconnected all of the tors plugs and removed the extra wires Adam
  19. We need a little more info: What type and size of carbs including current jetting What exhaust What is the bore/stroke? Stock Have you checked the pickup gap on the flywheel .020 is good. Are the carbs sync'd? Let us know, Adam
  20. I like the tag bars. I ran the Tag bars, Tripple Trees on my MX bike and you could not destroy them. They are a quality product. Fuck Renthal http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tag-T2-Handlebars-Handle-Bars-Yamaha-YFZ450-Raptor-Kit-/4621162975?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1137159df&vxp=mtr Adam
  21. I would love to go, come out on St. Patties day!!! Myself and a few friends are going - 1 banshee 2 raptors lol Adam
  22. Thank you Wildcard, I needed some parts, so I called up Wildcard Racing. Pretty awesome Sponsor up there in Utah. The prices are good and the customer service is awesome. I would recommend Wildcard to anyone. They are pretty top-notched and will help anyone with anything from questions to getting what you actually need at the best pricing in the industry. They are full services with everything from custom domes to porting to engines. A no BS type of guy Saving you money so you do not waste the banshee Budget!! Thank you for the help Wildcard!! 23. They are awesome tires because they are Honda tires! Honda really only has the best things available on the market. They have been running those tires since 250R's I have a few sets myself. Only thing I have found that compares to them as a trail tire are the Dunlop KT 533's. Those also hook up extremely well but they are non radial. Adam
