86 MPH. It's stock?! My buddies have raptors. 1 has exhaust, intake and programmer he gets 76. The other is stock and gets 71. The exhaust bike is fast off the line. He launches in second and it's a launch. Our banshees that are stock ported have been playing catch up with him. Raptors have good holeshots. If he does 86, you need a lot more mods. Adam

No no, Twister cylinders are silver. -
I've run them at 85 before. Had one sub 100 for over a year and it was fast. I know it's not right but I was poor at the time. Too much weed. Adam

I would say to stay away from big bore stock cylinders because you actually loose a lot of the transfers. Every bit that you bore out for those larger sleeves is what you loose from those transfers. This problem has been cured in other aftermarket casts. Serval is a great way to go without a doubt. A cylinder that needs little porting and creates great power. Go 4mil stock cylinder. If you want more power later you can change to the 68mm bores of Serval/Cub. 4mil ported cylinders will sell decently on the site to pay for the serval cylinders. Hope that helps! Adam

Providing we have some good weather that Saturday myself and 2 friends will be heading to Busco for the day. If anyone wants to come down it should be fun. We will bring some grilling, a few beers and a day of riding. If anyone wants to go we could get a little extra fun in and hang out, tell lies and have a few beers. Hope to see you there, Adam

Those are stock cylinders. -
It would just be better to buy a set of 4mil domes and then sell your old ones to cover the cost. Is you have Pro Design/NOSS/Chariot heads the Rootracing can get the domes you need. Hope that helps, Adam

Clutch Cushions are shot as they are saying. Call Jeff at FAST. He can get one out to you quickly. You could rebuild a stock basket but there are no bolts for it because they are riveted in. The new basket comes with cushions, bolts, basket and plate. You need your old ring gear. Just grind off the rivets. 169 $ for a Magnum Billet basket. noise goes away, clutch is tight, no issues at all afterwards. Hope that helps, This is another Video of the shot Cushions Adam

Start fine and then right cylindre quit firing?! help
ticktock replied to yosteff's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Welcome to the forum! Does it run on both cylinders with the choke on? I also suggest cleaning your carbs, do them one at a time as they are different with different pieces in each. Then try again. Also check your flywheel to make sure the two magnets on the outside of the flywheel are clean and shinny. Check pickup gap too .020 or the thickness of a matchbook cover. You can download a manual from my Sig. Adam -
Yup, that is correct. Just dont forget your two halfmoon clips that hold the bearings in. One big and one small. There is also one on the crank shaft. Without any of these you will have problems. Manual download in my sig Adam

WCR override dunables transmission
ticktock replied to miami350's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
So should I buy this transmission here or eBay? It's only 300 on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-Banshee-Drag-override-dunables-transmission-WCR-/190641163227?hash=item2c63194bdb&item=190641163227&pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_500wt_922 -
Are you ported? 700's hav a lot of torque. Torque=power to the ground in those big bikes. Banshees build power from RPM. If you had a good ported 4mil you should be smoking him but more than likely he is going to take the holeshot because of tirespin. The banshee is the most reliable build able bike on the market. For under 500 you can rebuild and port your bike. For under 1200 you could go cub/serval since you have a crank. Banshees are a blast! Adam

Banshee 3 piece Stator Cover Bearing Support
ticktock replied to Poolman's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Sonofabitch! I was told at 100hp you will start having enough torque to cause the bearing to wear out relatively fast and the bearing support stopped that. Information was from someone I respect so I took it for what's its worth. Well I guess I was informed wrong. I could have gotten away 120$ cheaper. Grr Adam -
Welcome to BHQ!! Banshee's are not an investment. They cost money all the time. Lol You are prolly better off spending 2800, getting a nice bike then sending out the cylinders for porting with the money you saved. Boost bottles do nothing and you will find many laughing at them. Stock crossover is great and will not cause the added weight and stress to the intakes. I would spend less and port personally. Use one of the site sponsors for porting, we have a plethora of them. Try to stay away from folks that offer porting in stages as they do not tailor to riders needs. I would also go with an adjustable timing plate @ +4 and you will see improvements throughout the power band We have a lot of info here on the site use the search and you will find the answers to most of the questions. We also see lots of nice parts go through the forsale sections so keep an eye out. Adam
