I'm talking about gaps and lobes rubbing not big end clearance. Just something weird

Honda has a service limit for every part in their motors. The banshee has no thickness tolerance or inside diameter size or anything else to tell me when those are worn. Then look worn to me, they look like they have lost a little metal from the wear surfaces and 1-2 3-4 seem to have more play than 5-6. Should I just pay the 90 bucks and replace them ? Any advice. Helps Oh, my crank seems to be more towards the starboard (right) side of the engine. It has also eaten some metal away from the cases. This does not seem normal to me. Does anyone know what might cause this? The crank pins were in the grooves but it just seems to be hugging the case. It must be old damage because I have no problems with piston grooving or cylinder damage. Seems like the shavings would have eaten the motor rather quickly. How much, you can see the case over the crank and a larger gap on the port side Adam

Tyler, Did you say you had a sponsor for anodizing services? I looked through sponsors and didn't find one. Does anyone have a recommendation for small parts? Most industrial hate to deal small stuff. Thanks Adam

Contact Rootracing. He is a dealer for chariot. He has a post up in sponsor section and is great to deal with. His prices are cheaper than the eBay store too Adam

Buy a K&N Power lid. It's a KN filter lid for your Airbox. Has outerwear cover too. Contact Jeff at FAST. He is a lot cheaper than Autozone or local auto parts dealers. Adam

Then buy a crappy one to trail ride and save bling bling for for what you turned it into. A Trailer Queen! Just ride it, clean it and repeat

water pump issues? aftermarket needed?
ticktock replied to 11AGUY's topic in General Banshee Discussion
As long as the clutch cover could be designed with Lock Out option and expanded clutch basket options I think people would pay. Those that are running engines that require lock out, or extra clutch plates would be your target market anyways. We spend 300 on a lockout cover and 600 on a billet cover for extra plates. A water pump that has less of an option to fail seems like icing on the cake. I don't think that the average banshee motor needs anything more that the billet pump. The average motor is stock ported or 4mil ported stock cylinder. The market for cubs, DM and servals is specific to a smaller portion of all banshee riders. This is just my opinion here Adam -

That impeller from Mull looks awesome. It is also cheaper than a lot of other aftermarket billets out there. I will have to get one soon Adam -
Call Wildcard racing. I purchased a 120link oring for 48 bucks. Adam

Come on over! Working on the banshee, drinking beer and listening to tunes! I wonder what my roomie will say when I start it around 2 am. Lol. Have fun riding this weekend fellas Adam

Ya, sorry that was a bad post! I typed all that shit in my truck pissed off this morning. Well worked with the seller, I am getting 500 dollars returned. I have a good stock head, cam, crank, piston, cylinder. So basically I bought a complete base for 600 with expensive shipping!. Troy, I have been so busy I have not had time to work on them : ) I have been studying at school, trying to get things good there. I have been working on this during my lunch breaks, so 45 - and hour and half a day. Tomorrow I should have it running if I get out of school early. It will take an hour to do the parts swap and another hour to put it in the bike again. So I need 3 hours with it lol. Banshee I am ready to put that back together. It will take me about 3 hours to get it running 250R I have all the parts I needed now. Everything is in the garage, pressed in all the motor bearings and the crank, just need to assemble - 10 hours for motor and complete bike. Im riding something Saturday - Are you and Bridget interested? Adam

I bought a 450r motor that as described was. 502 big bore stroker ported head running condition 1100$ + the ride 167$. I got a motor that would not start. Failed lead down timed incorrectly. Was told by seller to change heads. Piston in backwards. Valve strike on piston. Piston wrist pin grooved and totally shot. Cylinder walls grooved to the shape of the piston!! Stroker HR crank is stock stroke lol. It's going back to him. Did this guy think I was an idiot? Wtf is wrong with people? Adam

Was the machine running well and then it started doing this? If so then the answer is electrical. Especially if it will not even stay running with the choke on Adam

The difference is there are no screws to strip, fall out. It is a 1piece reed and there is less restricted airflow. It is going to be a crisper throttle response overall because of the design. What does that mean? A properly tuned banshee carb at optimum conditions is going to respond 30 milliseconds faster than the same setup with B power reeds. Haha Adam

J arms are awesome! Buy that shit and call JL for his awesome J Arms. Everyone has a banshee but few have a J arm banshee! Adam

Are the spark plug wire on right? Does it have an adjustable timing plate? Set at 4 degrees advanced. Are the carbs dirty? Does the choke being on help with back firing while riding? What pilot jets do you have? All I can think of ATM. Adam

The best option is to call a site sponsor. Jeff @ FAST I know is very good with information. He will also do a quote so you know what you want. Many good references for him all throughout BHQ. Another is HJR there are strong recommendations for him aswell. I believe Wildcard is also another good source. Their shipping is fast, and customer service is great. I know it's not the answer but I hope that helps a little to point you to resources for great information. Adam

Well, it's possible I sold my bike last night lol. I need to spend time with my GF more than go there. So I'll let you know

cascade or FAST cheetah cub set up?
ticktock replied to bigpanther2004's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
That's weird that they didn't help you out a little better at FAST. I have not but great things to say. Although I just found out they have beer copies and I haven't got one yet! Hope that you get to talk to Jeff and you see what everyone talks about!! Adam -
These are also good Tires. But the bearclaw and those are also great. Adam

Vitos Pistons run strong, in my Banshee. I had about 20 hrs on them and pulled it apart to do some work. They hardly look like they are used. I would say that they are an upgrade over stock in an unported cylinder for sure. If your banshee is stock and piped with T5's or PC you will see an increase in power for the money spent. It will cost you atleast 500 for a port job + pistons + gaskets. if you are just looking to add a little, it is a good deal. If you want a lot out of your motor, Port job is the only way to go.
