  1. Just remember BOAT is an acronym for Break Out Another Thousand
  2. heheh apparently the chicks around here dig it!
  3. continued from first post. another sunset and the place gets live. sorry about the gay backpack was my turn to tote the camera bag lol riding the hills was fun, they had some 40 footers and 60 footers that were reasonably steep just hit em hammer down! MMMMMMMM donuts! our crew as seen from the rear fender of the shee some of these holes were hella deep! For the most part you could drive around anything that looked too nasty, this one clearly fooled me. note my badass LED headlights, they ran off my tiny motorcycle battery for two nights of riding with them + my underbody LED's on and were completely awesome. Just ridin, there were tons of hills and long elevated places to haul some ass The next couple pix are from this weekend, had a bonfire and invited peeps over with their rides and planned to ride, bout an hour before the party was supposed to start it dumped a ton of rain on us. Said screw it and rode anyways! me and my new buddy laura! she don't mind gettin dirty one bit! what my shee looked like after the bonfire rides.. god we were dirty dirty dirty this is what the people following me looked like
  4. Figured i'd throw up some pics of our trip to buscoe beach and some random riding pics from the last few days. Camp is set up, bout time to ride! my crew apparently thought it would be a real riot to constantly take the muddiest trails possible... So i just started roosting the shit out of them whenever I got the chance where I did LOTS of chillin one of several bridges we came across while we were riding, a couple of them were quite high others people just drove around crossing the creeks my fav parking spot back at camp. sunset, just when this place starts getting fired up! sand bowls! This is lana, she has a can-am and absolutely smoked EVERYONE on the drag strip launching in 4wd dusting EVERYONE with her radio cranked waaaay up. boobie on his 60cc tri-zinger, his buddy greg has one too and they're a huge hit when they ride em around camp, everyone trying to buy them tons of coolness. top of the world yo! there were tons of hills, a dragstrip, and a motcross track as well tons of trails. assholes... always trying to get me and the shee dirty. boobie starts the lets see who can get the dirtiest contest... and the aftermath of my sister talking shit to him about how SHE was dirtier
  5. Also if you're going to ride trails with this thing you probably don't want a +6 swinger, will make your banshee corner worse than it does now. I hear -1 swingers make for real fun trail riding though.
  6. Agree x3 Alf's a great guy and good to deal with, hooked me up with a great deal on some used pipes man these things SCREAM! thanks again alfie
  7. All my plastics looked like the ones on the left, i used steel wool to get the rough stuff out which will take out some scratches, if they're really really deep theres probably no fixing them. You can use a 3m pad which is equiv of about 1000 grit sandpaper. then wetsand it. Once you get them clean as you like wax them really good to keep shit from getting back down in the plastics. DO NOT try to use an orbital sander or anything powered, you can oversand them and never get a shine back. Took me a few hours to get the rough off mine, but it really brought these 23 year old neglected plastics back from the dead. Heres my tank plastic, you can see on the left it was HORRIBLE, on the right is where i was working on it with steel wool. and heres after i was done with the steel wool and after some wetsanding.
  8. Double checked that the black wire, yellow wire and harness coming out of the stator cover are connected & the connectors are good and tight where they hit the main harness?
  9. Oakley Makes these lol.... http://www.oakley.com/pd/1238/2576
  10. Okay, i've already fried one stator while I was washing the shee, which pissed me off because as much mud and water as i've hit i didn't fry it then.. Anyhoo I want it completely sealed and impervious to moisture to keep me from having any other stator problems. What im thinking about doing is cutting a stock stator cover, just before the second set of bolts (from the right side) and sealing my stator cover to the extreme. Cutting the stocker should allow me to remove half of it in case I need to do a sprocket change without disturbing the seal on the stator. Has anyone already done this? and what have you found to be the best method of sealing up the stator? I already shot both ends of the stator wiring harness full of clear silicone.
  11. Thats awesome!! I think mine has "Dune Hoppers" in it too!!!! Just take a look... See!? They look like the same style reed! Or maybe "Dune Hoppers" is just a fancy way of saying stock reeds and cages!
  12. No idle screws? will it crank if you give it just a little throttle?
  13. Thanks but I have brand new ITP Holeshots all the way around need wheels only!
  14. Maybe go back and re-read what I said... I was talking about the kickstarter seal which IS on the CLUTCH cover and he MIGHT be able to replace it without pulling the cover but no harm in doing so. He doesn't HAVE to, but if he gets an oil seal KIT which includes ALL the seals for the bottom end of his motor, I recommended to him that he should probably go ahead and replace his kickstarter seal while hes at.. He MIGHT be able to do it without pulling the cover but then again no harm in pulling it and taking a look around in there while hes at it. Maybe go ahead and do the shift star mod as well.
  15. Was just digging on craigslist and found a guy that sells/repairs shocks of all types maybe he's got a few sets of them lying around, if anyone is close enough to go check him out. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/rvs/1722839083.html
  16. Looking for some black wheels, if you've got some you want to get rid of hit me up. from what i understand 87-88 had a different wheel pattern, im not above changing hubs if need be. THIS is what im working with... They're dented, and scuffed, and the previous owner ran it for god knows how long with a couple loose lugnuts.. They're pretty much fucked.

  18. yeah tons and tons and tons of bad publicity / experiences on this site with those, just do a search for "ricky stator" and you'll find plenty of horror stories.
  19. Also might be intrested in the +4 wodruff key, this an alternative to an adjustable stator plate? Just pull the old one, slap the +4 in and im golden?
  20. interested in lightly used stock stator cover, I assume it's not broken and has no cracks. as well as your radiator grille, pm total shipped to 28147 please
  21. Nope, drain the fluids, pull the clutch cover and replace the sprocket, shifter and kickstarter. You MIGHT be able to do the kickstarter without pulling the clutch cover if you had a hook shaped pick tool to get in there
  22. I just changed mine tonight, Front sprocket, Kickstarter & Shifter oil seals. Very easy to do, pry them out with a screw driver then press them back in by hand, wipe some lithium grease on them before re-installing.. The sprocket seal required a very large socket and a couple taps with a hammer to fully seat. There are entire bottom end kits available I got mine for like $29 I got a complete oil seal kit from winderosa came with every seal needed to do the bottom end. I didn't change the one at the flywheel because it looks like to properly get it in you would need to split the cases. As far as I know none of the other seals require splitting the cases to do. If you've never pulled your clutch cover before you'll need to drain the oil/water first and I would recommend picking up a new clutch cover gasket because the first time I took mine off it tore. If you do replace this gasket wipe both sides of it with bearing grease to prevent it from sticking and tearing the next time you remove it.
  23. Thanks a ton for the water pump cover, arrived in good time in great shape! Good seller here!
