If you have a SE the chain is O ring. If not then its not a O ring chain. Yes you should lube your chain every ride. If you keep your chain clean and lube it properly. It will last and perform better than if you don't. I would imagine you will eat through sprockets a lot more quickly without chain lube.

if its $50 or so I say do it. If its more, just save ur cash and get the 28mm. that will be my next mod as well.

Ya was just trying to clear up some confusion. That really sucks man, have you heard from the builder yet?
-
you said early this was a brand new build, and had maybe 5 street races. now you said you had about 13hrs according to our vapour? 5 races was 13 hrs of ride time?

If your quad starts first kick with no choke, doesnt that mean your pilot is too big as well?

ya i ordered 27.5 and the 32.5 just in case. It runs great right now, at 0-1/4 throttle kinda seems like it gurgles a bit. So I think a 27.5 would prob be my best choice. But since im getting new reeds ill stick with the 30, then do a plug chop. thanks guys appreciate the info. ill be posting my stage 2 LT elkas with external reservoir soon as well. asking $800 paid just over $1200. they are 16 1/2'' eye to eye. I have them on eyeball engineering +2+1 A arms. My cousin can get me a deal on some stage 5's so I figured I would try to upgrade. great shocks in great shape, they have about 10 rides on them. set up for 185-200 LBs intermediate trails/mx -

hey guys just an update. seems like the dirty carbs was the problem. there was alot of shit in them. seems to be running good, revs up nice and seems to be normal. cant really tell till tommoro when i take it for a ride ( live in townhouses) only problem i had was i bent one of the needles on the cap, wasnt too bad, managed to straighten it out pretty good, tho. is that a huge problem? slides work fine. also ordered some vforce 4, should i still go down to a 27.5 pilot? or keep the 30? thanks guys!!!!! so happy to have her running again -

Ya I was happy to see my compression was still very good. I thought the 30 was a little too big, kinda bogs from starting to 1/4 throttle. But if I get some new reeds im supposed to bump up the pilot. so the 30 should be a good size, right? or should i maybe order the 27.5? -

Thanks guys, ya from what I researched I thought maybe my pilot was a size too big. This is the first time I have ripped apart my carbs (noob I know) The only reason its like that is cause thats what it came with. The airbox im running s not stock. its the bottom part of the stock airbox with a K&N filter, and the Lid is a filter as well. (if that makes a difference) I also think it was just a dirty carb as well, it was smoking white smoke from the right cylinder i believe( dirtycarb side) so If I order some VForce 4, should i keep my pilot at 30 or go down to a 27.5? or go up to 32.5? I read that they need to go up 1 size on the pilot, but i think as of now im running a size too big? ill be getting some 28 pwk eventually , but for now i wanna start with the reeds. thanks guys!!!!! -
hey guys Been off HQ for a while, old comp and cell crapped out on me. anyways decided to start tearing apart the banshee. last ride it started to feel like it was running on 1 cylinder, and was smoking quit a bit out of the cylinder. checked compression im at 124& 122 psi. I took out the carbs and reed valves. one carb had quit a bit of dirt/sand in the top of it, also looks like i may have sucked a bit of dirt into the cylinder:( How bad is it if this happened?? could only see a few specs just past the reeds. also wondering what your thoughts are on my jetting i have 280 mains, 30pilot, air screw 1.5 turns. I am at sea level have FMF fatty's, K&N filter with power lid, +4 timing, billet water pump. im looking at gettng new reeds soon, so i know i will have to go up a size on the pilot jet, just wanna confirm this. also i ride sometimes at arond 1,000 ft . do i bump up the main jet a size for the elevation? thanks guys , appreciate your input

Rox anti vibe riser or +2 anti vibe stem?
06BCBANSHEE replied to <2002banshee>'s topic in XC/Hare Scramble Forum
I have the rox risers. They are a nice quality riser. However I think they are the reason i bent my stock steering stem when i rolled my shee last week. ( going way to fast into a corner lol). It didnt seem like a bad crash, but somehow the stem is bent now:(. Ive heard its cause of the risers. So needless to say ill be ordering a +2 stem, and skip the risers. -
I think motosport.com sells replacements
-
Do you have to re jet for these? I have heard you shouldnt have to. Is this true?
-
How do these affect the handling of the quad? When fully loaded with gas/cooler etc
