  1. ya for now on i will be avoiding water completley. and putting garbage bags over the carbs and air box, when cleaning. I didnt know that they were so tempermental with water. Do you know why ppl take off the air lid? i ride mostly trails, and im in BC so it rains alot in the winter/fall. if you take the lid off arent you just asking to suck water in through the intake?
  2. how exactly would i do that? im running k&N filter with outerwears. also has the k&N lid filter with outerwear.
  3. I did unplug the TORS box, it didnt solve the problem. I then turned the fuel off and reved it until it ran out of gas. started it with the choke on and full throttle. It still did the same for a few minutes. started revving a little higher, so i rode it out in 1 gear, and it eventually cleared up. so my guess it was the two oils mixing together? cant be the TORS because it was doing the same thing after i unplugged it. right? its plugged in for now, and its running fine (for now) I just dont want this to keep happening I appreciate your help guys
  4. also I switched from redline racing 2 stroke oil to belray. I ran the engine till it was pretty much empty then added the new fuel. I ran 40:1 with redline and i am continuing to run 40:1. The bottle recommends 50:1. seems way to lean to me. anyways it seems to be running fine now. is it because the two fuels where mixing bad together? I was also running 89 octane and switched to 94 with the belray. Could this cause it to do the same thing as it did when i ran through the puddle? or is it the TORS system sorry guys im new to banshees, and im trying to learn. I had a z400 when i was 16, but never had a chance to learn anything about it.
  5. so I have been having this same stupid problem. It was running fine friday, washed it. went to start it today, and again it will not go faster than 5mph . It is bogging down like crazy. when i do ride it in first gear, it is bogging down like crazy and just wants to die. it is also blowing alot of blue smoke now wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! getting pissed off someone please help!!!!!!!
  6. alright thanks guys Yea i wouldnt wanna be shot full throttle on some of the places i ride. Ill keep it on then. Whats the best thing to do when this happens? just let it idle for a bit? keep giving it gas or just let it sit? why do ppl take these off? seems crazy if it can send u flying into something full throttle.
  7. also so if i unplug the black box, under the gas tank. this will disable the TORS system? so if i go through a puddle again, it wont do what happened to me before? acting like a rev limiter. also if i unplug this, will i still be able to adjust the idle? my banshee only idles for about 30 seconds before dying if i dont blip the throttle. should i bump the idle up a bit?
  8. unplug the wire that goes from the TORS to the black box. unplug it and re plug it back in? or leave it unplugged. its running fine now, only seems to happen when i go through a puddle.
  9. Made a world of diferance on my 02 mustang GT. I had the diablo predator tune. 93 octane performance tune. I was able to adjust my gear ratio, select what mods i had done etc. gave me better gas mileage even o the performance tune. Was one of the top 3 mods I did to the stang. and it was heavily modified
  10. yea it still has the TORS. noob question, but the screw on top of the TORS is that the idle screw? i would like it to idle a lil higher
  11. so I went riding today, the trail is just loose gravell. It had a bunch of water holes only about a foot deep but really wide. I usually try to avoid puddles but i hit a few of them. Shortly after it had no power at all, would go only about 5 MPH in 1st gear. It was constantly bogging down (almost like when you rev it with the parking brake on.) I drove back to my truck (slowly) had to push it a few times because it died. I was thinking it was my piston rings. By the time I got home i started it up and it seems to run fine. was it just water in the carb? do banshees really hate water this much also how long can u let a good running banshee idle for without hitting the gas. If i dont blip the throttles, after about 30 secs or so it dies. is this normal? seems like it didn do this when i had the boost bottle on. I recently replaced it with the stock crossover tube. thanks guys
  12. alright i guess ill have to take it apart. Is this bad? it seems fine, jumps fine and everything. Im getting a elka elite soon anyways.
  13. My rear shock moves from left to right about 1/4-1/2'' is that normal? or do my heim joints need to be replaced? sorry im a noob

I dont know why ppl think banshees are such bad trail bikes. thats really all i ride and the shee is great. my friend has a raptor 700 and he is always behind me. or if i do let him in front hes fucking slow as shit. all you need to do is use the clutch more often, and rev it up a bit. choose the right gear and always keep it at the begginign of the powerband. simple as that. I tried the raptor and i hated it, felt slow, and doesnt give you the rush that the shee will. you sell ur shee and i gurantee you will regret it.

  16. I checked out your website matt, and have heard nothing but good things about SO CAL. Do you sell shocks by any chance? or do you just rebuilt them? I live in BC, and havent had any luck finding used ones, So I have been looking on ebay. I would prefer to buy used and get them rebuilt and set up from you, these are what i have been looking at. For a 175lb 180-185 ish with gear, doing mostly trails, some jumping, would like to occasionally go to the mx track, stock cant handle too much.   18. hey guys pretty much a new member, joined last year but havent posted much. kinda forgot about the site. but anyways im here now just thought id get your guys input. I recentlly bought some eyeball engineering a arms. I believe they are +2 + 1 . But not sure. the lower a arm measures 17'' to the ball joint. and the upper is 15". are these arms any good? I want to get some better front shocks and im torn between the works steelers or the stage 2 elkas. I do mostly trail riding, jump a fair bit nothing huge 5-10 ft, stockers suck. would like to occasionally hit up the mx track. lemme know your guys opininons. thanks alot!
  19. ok thanks. Does everyone else agree to do a 40:1 fuel/oil ration? The guy i bought it from said he was using Bel-Ray H1R Synthetic 2 stroke oil. should I stick with the same stuff?

  21. cool thanks man, ya i figured it would be around 40:1 . The outerwears are completley clean, but i will most likley take it off. Im kinda dissapointed that the boost bottle is a waste? Does the stock set up gane more HP, and throttle response than the boost bottle?

  23. hey guys, I just bought a black 06 banshee. Got a sick deal on it, $2800 and traded a 90 civic. It has fmf fatty, Q silencer(i think) K&N air filter with outer wears. 8 inch rear tire. a couple billet accessories, its super clean, and maybe has 10 hours on it. I was wondering what fuel/oil ratio I should be using? The manual says 24:1. What do you guys recommend? I used to have a 02 z400, and I thought that was fast. Their is nothing compared to the SHEE, I love it, cant wait to go riding, have only driven it for ten mins in a parking lot. It runs perfect.
