Ya mine has worn about a 1/4" through the new chain slider, but i fugure that is normal and wont wear through much more. Ive been searching like crazy and havent gotten a concrete answer for proper chain slack, its about 1" of slack with me pushing down on the grab bar. 1.5 with no pressure on the grab bar. This seems good correct?

Really? Cause i was very inpressed with my TM designworks slider kit. Its extrmely thick, and a good design. I rode all weekend and there is only a tiny bit worn through, but thats normal. I weigh 200 lbs with gear on, so i dont consuder that fat lol. I also chain wax the chain, and dont leave it too tight. I have 1.5" of slack at the middle of the chain. Seemed to work great so im happy with it. Fuck stock!!

Well i might as well post pics of my -1.5 JL ..... Couldnt be happier with this, super beefy, and the traction is unbelievable. Im prettty sure if it can hold up to DDQ abuse it can hold up to anything you throw at it. -1.5 FTW!!!!!!

You might wanna look into a JL swingarm as well. I got the -1.5 mx swingarm and its beefy as hell. Great guy to deal with, answered all my stupid questions right away. Good prices too. Cheaper than everywhere else, couldnt even get a response from a cpl other places.

Also ordered a renthal R1 gold o ring chain justt to be safe. Cant believe im spending so much on a little piece of plastic

Well i ordered the best roller and slider i could find, Comtemplating ordering a new chain as well, even tho i dont think i need it.

Well hopefully this solves the problem. I ordered the TM designworks chain slider kit, the onr that zillafreak posted. I also ordered a TM case saver as well. I really hope this solves the problem. Ill be pissed if this happens again. It comes with a 1 yr warranty as well. My chain feels smooth so i dont think its necessary to replace it. Does having a -1.5 swingarm put extra stress on the rollers? And is 1.5" of freeplay in the middle if the chain the right amount? Thats with me sitting on it. Thanks guys

Ya thats a good idea with the sand paper, i mean its brand new, would hate for it to be hrown away. On the other hand i wouldnt want it doing the same hing to a aftermarket roller. I really hope that the problem is that the stock roller is garbage.

Thanks zilla freak. Ya i think i may go with the TM designworks. I would hate to have to replace the chain, its a brand new o ring chain!!! But if its causing it to eat through the rollers then i have no choice. It feels smooth, if it was cuttin through u think it would slice my finger?

Ya j dont think the chain slack is the problem. Zilla freak what kind of slider is that? And how exactly would the mod quad one get mounted? Which one of these two should i order? The second one looks similar to a dirtbike style slider. I wanna be able to ride for more than 10 mins:(

Anyone have pics of a aftermarket slider set up? Was my chain to loose or too tight? Or is my chain. Fucked from Rubbing against the skid plate. I do t want this to happen again!!!

I am running stock size sprokets front and back. And the upper and lower rollers are stock, but in fine shape

I wouldnt say its too tight, it has 1 1/2" of slack, is that too tight?

Alright well last weekend was the first ride with all my new parts installed. Quad ran great and handled great. Until i realized my chain had been rubbing up against my skidplate. Causing a groove in the skidplate from the chain. I removed the skidplate and continued to ride. After inspecting things i realized my chain roller, the one that covers the swingarm. #10 in the first pic. Had completley worn away to the point where its paper thin. So i ordered another one (stock). Only reason being i difnt wanna wait for a aftermarket one to come in. After 10 mins of riding the roller is paper thin again!!!!! Is this just stock garbage parts? Or is my chain fucked from rubbing against the skid plate? And somehow cutting threw this roller? The chain feels fine, smooth and everythig. Where can i get a aftermarket one? Amd what is causing this!!!!!???? Thanks for your input in advance! This is it new!

I ride trails mostly too, with mud and shit. Front ones i dont miss at all. I kinda like being able to see my front tires whem going over obstacles. Back ones i like the look cut, But sometimes wish i had full rear plastics. But thats only when its really muddy.

Shop around and dont be in a rush to buy right away, i picked up stage 2 elkas with remote ressy, eyeball engineering +2+1 arms, amd a elka elite LT rear shick with linkage for $1600 for everything. Front shocks were new, everything used but like new condition. Keep in mind the deal on the rear shock doesnt come by often. But they are out there. Def start with the front shocks, and arms. Then do the +4 axle as stated. It will handle like shit if u do the front without adressing the back. Good luck and post pics when you get them

Thats actually not a bad idea man, im gonna watch it and see how it is. If it looks like its not gonna work, Ill have to ride my xr 250:( Wish me luck!! Talk ro you guys soon.

Haha fuck i know, but it was my skid plate that caused it, POS!!!. Hopefully the lawn edging works, ahould be ok for a cpl days

The roller that goes over the swingarm , its #10 in the pic Ill post. It hasnt worn all the way through. I picked up som 7/8". Lawn edging plastic, im gonna wrap it around and zip Tie it. Hopefully it holds up for a few days.

The fronts are LT as well. They are not as long as some of the other brands, but still LT. I just got into cell reception, and am currently looking for some parts. My chain rubbed up against my skid plate, causing my middle chain roller to completley melt away. Its almost in two pieces, thank god it didnt fo all the way through and fuck up my swingarm. I am in the middle of butt fuck no where, so getting a new chain roller is not even possible. Stupid fucking skid plate has ruined my entire fucking vacation!!!! I got 2 days of riding in, FML!!! Anyways when i was riding it, the quad felt amazing, so much control. I can get completley sideways in 4-6 gear, and it straightens out when i want it to. The drifting is amazing. The back shock and swingarm are both awesome. I dont know what one i like better. The shock soaks up everything!!!, and the short swingarm kicks ass. I find i dont have to be constantly standing now, as with the stock shock would bounce around the ass end. Anyways, im fucking pissed that i have 4 days left of my vacation and i cant ride. I can, but i dont want to risk that roller completley falling off. End rant:(
