  1. Thanx,, can't seem to find the complete sole but I think I can fix the sole with Shoe Goo and then get new inserts. $16.00 for inserts and a tube of Shoe Goo.... A great set of boots for a growing kid for under $30. Can't beat it..
  2. A couple bats of pink insulation should get you thu a couple seasons. Its the same shit as real packing..
  3. Anyhow my neighbour just gave my son a pair of Alpinestar Tech 6 boots. He did not replace nthe sole inserts in time so the soles need to be replaced. The boots were only used for trail riding and are in excellent shape,, except for the soles.. Where can I get new soles for them. .. If I can fix em cheap it would be great cause he outgrows boots almost yearly:D
  4. Whats going on if you have your plugs showing two colors at the tip. 2/3 of the plug is black and the rest is light chocolate color. BTW my oil mix is kinda rich, 20:1 I think.
  5. I just changed mine. I was dickin around with jetting for a month fighting rich condition. Had no power thru the midrange and little power at top end. Put a set of power reeds on and OMG, hang on. BTW the old reeds looked good but obviously they were bad. Check ebay, got mine for half price.
  6. Did you remove the hoses that go from the rad to the motor at all? If you removed the hoses at the motor end you may have reversed them? Just a thought.. Chek all your plumbing. The bypass and overflow tubes on the rad maybe reversed? Got to be something simple!!
  7. Could be a needle and seat problem. Cllean or replace them. The bowl could be overfilling at idle if they are not closing.
  8. Nice bike.. Hope you will/can fix it. I did an 87 resto last winter also. A box of parts and about $1500 will get you one hell of a ride exactly how you want it, eh?
  9. You have to try both to know what you prefer. I've gone from motocross to quad so I have a preference to twist. Its easier IMO to control the throttle thru whoops and jumps.
  10. Yup, Its like a totally different bike.
  11. Got my 87 fully rebuilt, new pipes, carbs cleaned and jetted, reeds looked good amd sealed fine, nedw air cleaner. I jetted, jetted, and rejetted, but it had not power and would not rev out. Decided to change the reeds(they looked good). Holy Sh@t what a difference! It has arm stretching power now.
  12. Than. Had to clean emup. Yhey were both completely varnished up.
  13. I need to remone the emultion tubes or needle jets better known as. Has anyone ever done this? I'm not sure if they press in or screw in. The reason is my bike sat for 5-6 years with gas in it. The bowls were full of varnish . I've cleaned everything good but I think the air holes in the emulsion tube are still plugged. This is whats causing my rich running midrange. Thanx
  14. Just wondering if this position is normal. Any low notch settings and its too rich. Does anyone else use this needle setting? It seems a bit extreme to me thats all.
