  4. The second pic is more of a true representation of what they look like, ill cut the threds more in the morning, i thought it was supposed to be a nice tan brown. Well thats good anywaus thought my jetting was way off. Gonna throw the 30 pilots in, seems like its struggling a bit down low.
  5. hey guys did a plug chop today, almost killed myself 20 mins before, road was washed away, ridden this traill 100 times, if it wasnt for 2 dirtbikers waving me down I would have hit it 6 gear WOT one guy had o lay his bike down cause he couldn't stop in time. These guys def saved me some broken bones or worse. Def a eye opener, not to ghost ride trails. Im running: 280 mains 27.5 pilot air screw 2 turns out I already have a set off 30 and 32.5 pilot, prob gonna try the 30 for the main would I just need to purchase some 290-310 ? Im running at sea level, fmf fatty gold series, chopped powercore silencers, +4 timing, vforce 4 reeds, K&N filter with power lid, weather is 8 celcius/47 farenheit appreciate the input guys

  7. well i thought that worked, still has air bubbles. i pulled the hose connecting to the carb, and fuel pours out. Am i just being a hyprocondriac? never noticed it before. if it was staving for gas it wouldnt run/idle right?

Well I recently installed a bunch of parts in the last two weeks. pretty much went over everything, cleaned carbs installed new rad,stabilizer,stem, fat bars, vforce4 reeds, manually sync carbs had 280 mains, 30 pilot before the reeds. was kinda boggy so i dropped it to a 27.5 ran great. Dunno if I am being a hyprochondriatic or what, but I re installed everything , put the tank on. Dunno if it did this before or not, but my fuel line from the petcock to the carbs keeps getting air bubbles. it feels like its struggling for fuel at 0- 1/8 throttle, Doesnt seem like the air bubbles are normal, took it for a ride and it kinda struggles at very little throttle, after that it flat out rips. kinda shitty pic sorry for such the dumb questions

  13. also the wife will be riding a TRX 250 EX , is this thing gona have enough power for the dunes? My buddy has a set that we are gonna borrow. not in the greatest shape tho. The other two in our group have a KTM 450 sx and a yfz 426 so im not worried about them.

  15. I recently took off my overflow bottle, was told its unnecessary, is that true? I also just installed a ASI rad and will be using engine ice coolant. im also running a chariot billet impeller. I dont have a temp gauge, but found a laser temp gauge that measures temp very accurately. where is the best spot to measure the temp? coming out of the rad hose, or the Head? whats the max temp i should be running?
  16. well I booked my trip to head to Coos bay, july 7-11. Im taking the wife, my bro, my uncle and cousin. staying at Dune Haven, in the A frame cabin. looks like a nice spot. anyways, any advice on things to bring etc? I have a pair of sand star paddle tires, just need to buy some 10" rims. The thing I was wondering about is my brother has a polaris 400 4x4 quad. is he gonna be able to go up some decent hills at all? never ridden the sand before I honestly cannot wait for this trip!!! also I cut my FMF powercore 2 silencers, and removed the turbine and sparky, is this gonna be a problem do they check this a lot? How are the marijuana laws in oregon? Im from BC where we are all pot heads, and since weed is legal in washington now. anyone know if there are places to buy in washington? are the cops pretty chill about it in Oregon? Hoping the weather will be good, If anyone is gonna be there at that time lemme know. None of my buddies ride banshees. Have never seen one while I have been riding in my area any input greatly appreciated
  17. I replaced the dust seals in the bearing block, Didn't do the lower bearing tho. They looked like they were in fine shape. Ya I put a bit in there, Didnt think to jam it full. For some reason I thought that it didn't need that much. Ill throw a shit load in there and see how it feels. Also the Bar clamp that has the rubber bushings, do they use stock Torque requirements? I used stock because there was no instructions or anything. thanks guys

  19. always good to know who the previous owner was. looks like a good bike for the price. shine it up, freshen everything up and post some pics. stock cylinders say "347 cm3" and 2 GU
  20. So I tightened down the the bearing block that goes in between the stem and the frame. Torqued them down to stock requirements. The steering now feels very stiff. Am I supposed to use a different torque setting? Just doesn't feel right, the stock one moved freely. I have the front end jacked up. tie rods are off. and the stiffness in the steering im experiencing is that off what it would be like with the wheels on the ground. (if that makes sense)
  21. Looks like stock cylinders with a cool head, cant really tell from the pics. not many ppl get a 392 kit and still have stock carbs, and reeds. You might wanna change oil, check fluids, clean carbs etc. If thats how the guy sold it to you. Cant see someone having the time to maintain a machine, if they cant even rinse it off. just my opinion.
