Which MSD are you asking about? The MC-4 has lots of features including being able to pull or add timing at your control which is nice for kick starting some of the big motors, but lets all be realistic, they are a pita! On most bikes the headache isn't worth the POSSIBLE reward!

I really doubt Wes knew what was in there. This makes 2 cranks in as many weeks that are VERY questionable that have shown up on here that have come out of ECATV's shop. I think Id be asking LOTS of questions and looking at invoices very closely if I were going to have them build something! Its always nice to hear when things like this come up and the seller steps up the the plate and makes the buyer feel good!

Ive done 10 of these swaps. 6 in YFZs and 4 in Hondas. THEY ARE SIMPLE!! No cutting required. Homostead, get yourself hooked up with a chassis, motor, welder and your set. You dont even need any additional material. Easy as pie.

I wouldnt call that a bargain deal. There isnt much done to that bike as far as mods go, and the motors is a complete do over. That crank looks wangish to me. If it infact is, thats the reason for the failure. You will have to decide how much you want to spend on the rebuild. Are the cases good? At this point you can buy a stock stroke crank and use stock or aftermarket cylds or build something bigger. IMO Id watch for a used 4mil cub or a set of ported 4mil stock cylds and and start the rebuild. If you have some money to spend Id look to a site sponsor to get you hooked up with a new setup, that way you have their knowledge to help you along the way.

Grey Id be interested in chassis if you were looking to get some of the large stuff gone. Im not real keen on the arm but if the price was right Id take complete chassis. But I wont want wheels, glass, and all of that.
