  1. Redoing the bike right now and had a cyl blow. Just dont want to deal with tuning two carbs. Looks better and frees up more space too.
  2. Let me know some prices for a complete kit.
  3. I just got a quote here in Olathe, KS to have my frame and a few parts sandblasted and powder coated for 150-175. Loco, not sure if you have ever used RMI here in Olathe, but they do great work and very affordable.
  4. Can anyone tell me how to get the ball joints out of the stock front suspension. I am assuming they press back in? And yes I know I should just upgrade, but I am going to hold off a bit and my frame is going to powder coat this week. Thanks in advance
  5. Loctite has already proven that it will not work if I am correct. Sometimes if you are lucky you can get a new drain plug and put teflon tape on it to secure it a little better. Tack welding it sounds like a bad idea, because at some point you will have to break the tack by either grining it off or trying to twist the drain plug which will most likely snap off. I had this happen on my car, you can usually find a plug that starts at the same thread size that will cut new threads to accomadate a larger plug. You will want to back the plug out a few times to ensure any shavings dont end up in your bottom end and then flush it with some clean fluid. That is the only thing I can think of that actually works. I found this site not sure if it will help. Maybe some of the other members have a better fix, this is just my 2 cents. http://www.cgenterprises.com/drain_plugs_oversize_repair.htm
  6. Welcome, I hope you find this site as useful as me. Lets see some pics!
  7. Anyone going to be down. It will just be my buddy and I down there from fri night through sun. We will have a dune buggy, YFZ450, and a Banshee. Are we going to have all the sand to ourselves?
  8. I would check and see if you have your pancake bearing adjusted right. You want the tick mark on the case and clutch arm to match up or even go about an 1/8th past it when you are pushing on it with your finger. Or you welded the ball.
  9. Odds are I would end up under it ha ha. Pretty big weekend for me graduation and birthday, so we are going to be partying. Let me know if anyone can make it this weekend, wish I could go down the 15th.
  10. I cant, I graduate college that weekend of the 15th and it is my bday the following day. I will be WAY too drunk to play on the four wheeler. Trust me I though about skipping graduation.
  11. Me and another buddy will be down late friday night the 7th. We should be staying through sun afternoon maybe even the evening. Kind of a toss up between south camp and cowboy. Let me know who will be down.
  12. Works for us every time. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/productDetail.do?&navType=type&brandId=294&navTitle=Handlebars-Control&webTypeId=67&webCatId=12&prodFamilyId=13280
  13. I run Pro Circuits on sand and dirt and like them alot. you will not be disappointed. Does great on trails and the drag strip. The only reason I would change is to goto some out of frames if I stroke the motor. You could prob clean these up to look nice, email the seller to ask for more pics http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Banshee-350-Pro-Circuit-full-exhaust-mufflers-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem563b0cf349QQitemZ370357891913QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories This guy is a Fellow Banshee HQ member "Minkia38" http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-PRO-CIRCUIT-CHROME-aftermarket-exhaust-pipes-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem439edb616aQQitemZ290427986282QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  14. There are a few sponsers here that do porting and can range from 250 up depending on what you want done. You can buy a timing plate that allows you to advance or make a few modifications to your stock one. I run +4 on stock juggs and it seems to make a noticable difference. Lets see some pics of your shee.
  15. What pods are you running, angled or straight ones? I know mine rest where the swing arm pivot bearing is or cases I cant remember and I have never had an issue.
  16. I have ran both BR8ES and B8ES in all my two strokes and never had an issue. If you goto a Yamaha dealership, they will most likely sell you BR8ES'. At least thats what they sold me, I run BR7ES now for a little hotter spark.
  17. This aint the front, but we can make you up a clean rear conversion. Here is the info http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=129959
  18. Thats for the rear only but still a good find. Your Shee is CLEAN; Love the black and red.
  19. Here is mine, cover came with the kit. If you find the kit you are interested in, you should have the option to get a seat cover to match. That or buy some material that you like and take it to a shop and have it recovered.
  20. Here are pictures of the rear brake kit we built. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=129959
  21. Keep in mind it is best to check compression at operating temp or close to it so the rings can expand. I read righ at 100 psi each cyl cold which is a little low. I am told that you gain about 20% of your compression when you test it when the motor is warm. Sounds like you have a leak in your tester if you are leaking pressure. I would check all your fittings on your compression gauge. I have also noticed a difference in compression from a high quality tester and a cheap tester.
  22. Banshee all day for racing. Will do fine on trails too.
  23. Mine sounds like I have a ticking bomb in my cases, I will trade you sounds.
  24. I have a buddy that just rebuilt a 2000 blaster 200cc two stroke. New crank, pistons, bore, seals, bearings, reeds, and a few others that we cleaneed up. We also changed the the rear brakeover from cable to a full hydrolic banshee brake set up. Might be worth considering and could be a solid bike for him to ride for a while. I would have to check and see if he is willing to sell, but I am pretty sure he realizes he is to big for it after our last trip to the dunes.
