When I joined this site snop was the first guy I noticed that knew what the he was talking about. His knowledge was not what I was questioning. I just had my powder coat guy do my pipes in ceramic coat black because I got tired of keeping the crome shiny. He said that is very common in the race car word. I was told that the high temp powder doesn't hold up well. Looks good but has limited color choices.

Forgot to mention to check that your crossover tube and choke tube are in working order and intalled.

How old is the throttle cable? they do stretch and wear out. Check for cracks in your intake boots. Do you have tors on or off? Do you have the correct type of cable for your carb setup? Can you see the difference in the slides going up and down? Check that the carb caps are snug. Have you cleaned the carbs?

You want to test at two points like you are doing. The carbs are the same at idle so your idle setting is good. When you test at about quarter throttle if you get to different readings you want to adjust the lower number carb to match the higher number. I believe you have to do this while you are giving is throttle so get someone to hold the throttle while you wrench. Hope that helps someone may chime in with a clearer explanation.

Has anyone tried the powder coating kits that can be purchased for $130-$200? They seem to be a good product for small parts I just don't have any experience with them. The kits come with the gun, plugs, wire, tape, the converter box and you can choose from 50 or so colors. Would a wally world toaster oven work for baking small parts? If these work I could do my own parts for fraction of the price!!! Any thoughts would be helpful. My link

Buy a large syringe at the drug store and a foot of clear hose to connect to your fittings and you have a bleeder tool for five bucks. On the front master cylinder if you look closely the lid is not square and the words on top sould be readable sitting on the bike or you won't get a good seal.

No, I did not take your advise I took the advise of a builder long before this thread started. I know Jeff is a good guy and that is why I do business with him. First you suggest that I am not capable of tuning my carbs now you claim to know what was said between FAST and I. The bottom line is when I got better carbs idling problems went away.

I did take the advise of my builder a got bigger, better carbs for my bike to suite my mods and mods to come(4 mill dune port.) I will be sure to tell Farm and sand toys they don't know shit and I get my advise from a guy on the internet!

Really pal? Are you runnig stock carbs? Why are they one of the first things to get upgraded on bikes? I thought the guy might like to save a headache and money and just do it the right way by upgrading instead of grinding and rebuilding carbs that are too small to begin with.

I looked into buying a frame from this guy wouldn't budge on his inflated price and has some booger eater way of comming up with shipping charges!! This guy is typical trailer trash junk collecter!!!
