  1. You guys need to get with the times and get a web site! I know there are a lot of people who don't like to shop on ebay because of all the mix ups. A site is much more professional.
  2. I assume you had to machine the a arm threads and ream the spindles to accept the automotive ball joints. If that is the case those burgard joints are useless to you now.
  3. I thought I was stupid for the money I spent on my build! Some of you guys lay out some chedder! You got to pay if you want to play
  4. I'd plow her! I would rather go for a ride on that banshee though, I bet that is one of the plushest rides ever!
  5. I don't have experience with your carbs but I have heard the inlet valve that the float hooks to can varnish or get nicks and cause the valve to stick. I don't know the exact spec but usually if the top of the float is parallel to the mating surface of the bowl it is good.
  6. Your setup is similar to mine and I use the 33pwks with no complaints. Easy to tune and to find jets etc...
  7. So all you dragger's come on here, talk shit all day about who has the bigger cock and nobody has the sack to claim the best bike? I think the baddest mofo might have been a white F.A.S.T. raptor! Just stirring the pot.
  8. Are some of you guys suggesting that a leak down test should be performed every time the carbs are taken off? This would involve taking off the pipes, correct? Every time a carb is removed and for jetting we need to pressure test? I have never heard of this before. I thought the pressure test was mostly for base, head, and intake gaskets. Is giving the carb and intake connection a shot of carb cleaner with engine running not adequate? What if he was running a air box, how would he pressure test those connections?
  9. That is an interesting idea. I wonder if you could use some expanding foam on your bike and do a comparison?
  10. I owned a banshee and a lt 500 at the same time in my younger daysand both had their advantadges. Both bikes had the basic shit, pipe, airbox lid off, Jetted, vforce reeds, no tors blah blah..... The lt had some usable low end power but was heavy and handled like a dog. It took an experienced rider to navigate that thing. The banshee was much more rider friendly in my opinion. The 500 did jump and soak up bumps better. I thought both quads were cool looking as the honda was the bike to hate in my day. My zilla always won in a top speed race as was to be expected. Anyone with common sense will tell you there is no other feeling than a banshee going from that mid range hit to the top end pull!!!!! I still scream get some and am a 36 year old man. I forgot to mention the lt 500 was a mother fucker to start!
  11. That is how mine looks when mounted in the box.
  12. That would be fun!!!
  13. I am pretty sure that guy used to get it from the station I am talking about but I will get with VP to get some info!
  14. Just came across this today. The Appleton Station in grain valley closed so no more VP110! If you KC guys know of another place please post.
  15. Just f.y.i. these pegs are back in stock so get them while you can!
  16. I have a set on mine and they seem to be a quality product. Keep in mind if they are the older style arms the ball joint set up is a pain in the ass. They are 14 mm threads and the spindles need reaming.
  17. Good question! I have wondered about this myself. No one on this site ever talks about resleaving cylinders.
  18. Thanks for the input!
  19. Just get a bonded title. You know it has not be stolen and may have or have not been titled before. A lot of folks by these things and don't ever pays the taxes so the title is never issued. Builders who make custom bikes get titles. A bonded title is just the way to buy a title for the average joe. Casecade will sell a new titled frame for $800. Now if you are BSing and the bike is stolen I would not run the vin with the dmv. Some guys just buy a titled frame for $200-300 and switch everything over. It is all just a game for these off road vehicles that shouldn't have to be registered anyway. I am sure some will disagree with me on this and say how do you prove ownership? Yamaha will gladly sell you a frame for $700 without numbers. Who is to say you didn't build a bike from scratch with one of those? There should be a better system for showing ownership for off road vehicles. If the guy you bought it from is the original owner he should be able to apply for a replacement title.
  20. I have installed my first round house swinger with twin row bearing carrier and noticed something odd. The brake caliper mounting bracket has some back and forth play in it!! There is a billet gromet/spacer that connects to the swing arm and holds this in place but allows some play. Is this normal? The axle is nice and tight and so is the carrier. I have one of those pinch locking axle bolts on that I have never used. It is tightened by hand with 2 metal dowls and locktight pinch bolts. Do I not have this tight enough? Any thoughts would help.
  21. I went to the local dealer to pick up some Engine Ice and the guy said It was $20 a bottle!! I said it better drop my temp pretty good for that kind of price. He says that is all he uses in his toys...he asks me what bike I have and the operating temp. I tell him a Yamaha Banshee running 180-190. He says "well that is not bad and the FAN will not kick on until 220!!" I wonder if these guys ever fix anything.
  22. I just did a rebuild and noticed a small drip on mine the other day. I run the tm design works case saver also and have a billet neutral switch behind it. I retighened it and no more leak. The stock plastic neutral covers crack easily and the o ring can wear out. You might look into a billet cover and make sure every thing is snug.
  23. Hey bro you are reading way to much into this. I made my point if snop has a problem with what I said he will take it up with me! I never claimed to be a self proclaimed banshee god. Your are speaking for some one else now, maybe your friends dunno. Now you are questioning my knowledge with no insight. I am done cluttering this thread.
